Underwhelming nail set. They are so thick. They don't look natural at all . They are lopsided. The pinky nail is a joke. It has so much product caked up on it. I walked in with long, beautiful natural nails. And in the process of her taking my nails off, she cut every single one of my nails. Truly a terrible experience . I went here twice for a pedicure and honestly wasn't super impressed the first time. I had a little bit of time and knew they accepted walk ins, so I gave them a second shot on a Friday afternoon. Jenny showed me to my pedicure chair right away. I picked a bright pink color and started up the massage chair. Between the massage chair and the foot massage Jenny gave me I literally almost fell asleep. This was like I got a whole deluxe pedicure with all the extras for the same $30 price of a standard pedicure. Holy crap! Jenny is so good! I came home and took a nap after - that's how relaxed I was! She also did a great job filing, shaping, and painting my toenails. I will call ahead and ask for her every time. I had been driving back to my old nail salon- almost an hour away- until I found this place. They always do a nice job with my dip nails, they are thin and smooth which I really like. And they last usually about 3 weeks. They also do a great gel pedicure. I love that they always honor appointments. I have been to many nail salons where they take any walk in and then your appointment starts late which was a huge frustration for me. read more

I did not book an appointment I was a walk in and they were fast to get me seated and the attention to detail was 10/10 I got a pedicure with gel and gel on my natural nails I loved it. The best thing I saw was the way they great their returning customers, they are genuinely happy to see them and provide the best service and experience possible it's not the typical get the job done as fast as possible and next or the hidden up-charges some nail places add and you end up spending more than they originally said. I've been to my fair share of nail salons in Jacksonville since I moved here, and this is by far my favorite. Located right outside San Marco Square, right next to Marble Slab Creamery, San Marco Spa and Nail does the best job for the most reasonable price. The staff are extremely friendly and skilled nail technicians, I've never had an issue with my gel or powder dip nails peeling before the expected time frame. They have a wide variety of colors to choose from. I also love getting pedicures in the recliner chairs and getting a massage. What I like about them is that you can walk-in and they will find a time for you, obviously having an appointment is always better, but sometimes life happens. Deluxe pedicure was fantastic and includes sugar scrub, paraffin wax, hot stone massage, and lotion. The pedicure was so relaxing I almost fell asleep. Stay away! This place is terrible. The manager put Halloween decor on my toes at Christmas and laughed at me. I cannot see well and this was very frustrating after what they charge. I wanted it fixed and called the manager once I got home and my 7 yr old granddaughter told me I had a witch and a ghost on my toes, I was livid. I have been going there for months. This place is my favorite nail salon EVER!! They are always trying to work around my schedule and most importantly my gel nail set stays longer than any place I've ever went. I found myself in the area meeting a friend in a more central location. Living in Oakleaf, this is a bit away from my house, however I was in desperate need of a pedicure! I ended up getting the deluxe pedicure and before tip, it was $38. Great deal! We were promptly greeted and offered a drink, which was a nice touch. The woman doing my pedicure took her time and was generous in the time my legs were massaged. In the deluxe pedicure, you get to enjoy a sugar scrub, mask, paraffin wax, and lotion. The salon also had a great selection of colors! Every customer that had walked in, they took time to connect with and greet in a friendly manner. Don't go here to get your nails done. Told the man that the tips were not flat, before the acrylic ... he said "they would look flat after the acrylic. As you can see they are not. Called the next day to schedule an appt, with someone rake to fix the nails thag were wrong.... they told me is my nail bed. Wtf you must think I'm dumb. I haven't had fake nails in some time, I've been growing my real nails. But I have plenty of experience with fake nails. Tips weren't even really attached to my real nail. I really wanted to like this salon due to its close proximity to where I live, but unfortunately I left disappointed. I will say that the customer service is great. The technicians were very nice. The issue I had with this salon is how they do their gel nail manicure. Instead of filing your nails by hand they use the rotating filing machine. This caused my cuticles to bleed and did not leave me with a decent nail shape. All of my nails look like different shapes and don't match, unlike other salons I've been to where they're all consistent. The technician also made me feel bad for having shorter nails (I work in an ED so I need short nails ) by telling me she was scraping/burning my skin under my nail with the machine because I cut my nails so short (this has never happened at other salons) $30 for a gel mani, in my opinion was unfortunately not worth it. read more

Their nail art capabilities are limited, and it took three hours for a mani-pedi. The leg massage was pretty good, and the massage chair was what made the trip to the salon for me. The staff is really nice, although when I walked in and asked if they did powder dip with glitter ombré, three ladies surrounded me to examine my nails with a confused look on their faces, speaking in another language trying to figure out I'd whether they could do it. The toe nails came out a bit lumpy because the nail tech didn't leave any drying time between coats. The big toe was smushed after I left, even though I stayed there an extra 30 minutes (a total of two hours) drying them. The powder dip nails lasted over two weeks without so much as a crack. read more

The gel manicure looks nice but the tech was extremely rough and made 2 of my fingers bleed with the electric drill. She didn't seem like it was a big deal or apologize. Tech didn't listen to what my oldest daughter wanted then argued with her and made her feel bad that she didn't want a crooked acrylic nail. My tech was rough and cut my cuticles down to the point of bleeding on 4 fingers. Horrible shaping job on my regular nails when I just asked for them to be even. When I selected the color I wanted ( went for my wedding nails) another tech who had been listening said you can't have purple for wedding - I have pretty pink I firmly and politely replied it's my wedding I will pick my color. This is my 3rd time here. The technicians that helped me were courteous and thorough. I can't stand feet--even my own which is why I get pedicures, to make my toes bearable to myself. I actually feel bad for anyone who has to touch my tootsies or anyone else's for that matter. I leave with a great looking set, all clean and sparkly. My calves and feet are moisturized and relaxed after the massage and hot towel treatment. I mean I can't really complain especially after they offer me a drink while I'm getting the service. I shudder to think how the technicians would rate the state of my feet when I walked in there. I'd probably be a 1 and that'd be generous. SO, four stars to these hardworking folk. They do try and make small talk but honestly I don't care if English isn't your first language. It doesn't bother me. Hearing people speak in their native tongue isn't a huge deal breaker---but I'm not a Nosy Parker, paranoid or easily offended. I ended up going here on the recommendation of a friend. My normal place is so far from where I live and I needed something closer before leaving town. I am not in any convinced that the lady who did my nails has any idea how to do Dip Powder. First, the powder never went all the way towards the cuticle. My experience is that you press the cuticle down, trim it up, and then apply the powder. I wanted them thin and she put on 4 coats of powder. During the filing process, she took even more off the base of the nail. I needed a fill in before I walked out. I complained and she added even more dip powder. She gouged one nail so badly that you could see my regular nail. She only added one coat to cover it up. The rest of the nail had 4 coats. Some nails are thicker on one side than the other causing creases, lumps and ridges on the surface of the nail. Every nail has an extreme slope at the base because of the gap between the nail and the cuticle. I paid for my nails to have ridges, lumps, bumps, be uneven, and thick like hoofs. This is horrible!!! Now about the place in general, it was very dingy feeling. Did not get the feeling of being sanitary. The nail techs were screaming at each other about 30 mins into my visit. I was there for almost 2 hours. I really debated leaving before I ever sat down. I should ALWAYS listen to my first instinct. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! read more
