Visited 10/27/2023 Friday Night Dinner at The Sand Bar Parker Arizona. This place has been on my list to try for some time. Known for its Famous Smoked Beer Can Chicken, Famous Chicken Pot Pies and Slow Smoked Ribs this Dive Bar serves some tasty chow. I'll be trying The Chicken Pot Pie out next time. Friendly Staff and live music on the weekends makes for a good choice for a meal. Food was actually quite good. We had Greek and the tzatziki was the tastiest and most authentic I've had in Arizona in a long time. The service is self serve and they were friendly and efficient. The trip is an adventure I'd rather not repeat - lots of vehicles speeding past us on narrow rocky trails and kicking stones even though we were driving an AWD truck. If you're ok with that you're fine. It is an experience though if you want to try something totally different. The band was a typical bar band. Not great but not awful. Not a fancy place. Best described as a dive bar. BUT, a dive bar with incredible food and a friendly vibe. Our server took awhile to get to us, but everything was well worth the wait. I had a chicken pot pie that was baked and served in an actual full size pie tin. It was HUGE. And delicious. PLUS it came with a nice salad AND a premium side. (Bacon Mac n cheese for me ). My wife ordered a rack of ribs. Again, a GIGANTIC amount of food. There was at least 4-5 Pounds of ribs. (I weighed the leftovers-3.2 pounds. They also came with a salad and a side. The drinks from the bar were excellent, as was our server, Samantha. Very helpful and friendly. To top it off they have live music on weekends. Check availability of the specials. I think ribs and pot pies are weekends only, but not sure. We will DEFINITELY be coming back. read more

A great experience from start to finish. To start off this evening, which was Italian Wednesday at the Sand Bar, we were picked up by their free shuttle service and delivered across the Colorado river to the restaurant/bar. Drinks, Service and food quality were not hampered by an influx of 15ish people which added a substantial amount to the crowd already present. The locals, bartenders and wait staff were all friendly. Yelp you let me down. The reviews at this place must all be fake. This is the worst food I have had since 1968. Notice none of the good food the left side of menu is served except Friday and Saturday nights. Got there at 7:30 and told hurry up and order as the kitchen is all done at 8. Well hell don't list until 2 am. Server said it was her 2nd day . Poor thing. I left her a 20% tip as this terrible food is not her problem. Now I love food and usually finish everything but this was so disgusting a POW being starved would throw it out. I had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries. I don't really know what kind of meat it had just hope it wasn't roadkill. So bad no flavor just gross. I ate the fries as they were edible for frozen junk. My wife had the deep fried mushrooms. So disgusting not really completely unfrozen. I had a Coors light can't screw that up but not really cold. My wife had a screwdriver but no taste of any Vodka. THIS IS A WARNING DO NOT STOP HERE FOR FOOD. Worst excuse for a restaurant I have ever seen. Zero stars for this hell hole. Will I be back oh hell no. read more

I liked this Biker bar. Burger had the potential to be fabulous but ordered medium well and got mostly raw so couldn't eat it and didn't want to complain. BBQ looked great but wasn't on the menu yet. Hoagie my partner had too salty for him and that's saying something. read more

The Pit Master definitely knows his smoker. I had the Tri-Tip dinner and the meat was juicy, the smoke ring was perfect and the subtle taste of mesquite from the clean smoke was on point. I will be back to try the Beer Can Chicken and Pulled Pork Sliders. The bar tenders and waitresses are friendly and the service is quick. The open concept of the bar allows you to see the band from anywhere in the room. This is a family run establishment, the owner is always on the floor mingling with the patrons. First time coming here and it was a real pleasure. We wanted to try the "World Famous" Beer Can chicken. It was Amazing. I happened to be walking back inside when the chef was bringing them out of the smoker. The smell was amazing and had my mouth watering and my stomach rumbling. We had no idea how big they were until they arrived at our table. Two of us split one and there was plenty left over. The chicken itself was moist (including the breast meat), tender, perfectly seasoned, and just the right amount of smoke. The skin was a little salty in places but over all this is some "Dang" good chicken. You get a choice of two sides so we chose the Macaroni and Potato Salads. Both were made from scratch- a little sweet but still extremely tasty. They also have a made from scratch "Special Sauce". It has the right amount of heat and compliments not only the chicken, but salads. Service was awesome, and the owner is really friendly. We came to see a band playing there, "Mudfish" and ended up having one of the best times at a bar a person could ever have. The owner had other bands lined up to play for many weekends ahead. They also do football specials due to having many flat screen TVs. The decor right now is set for Halloween and the place looks great. Hope this place sticks around for a long time. read more

Gosh, what can I say about this place. It's a great little bar with GREAT BIG FOOD. Their food if just simply amazingly delicious. The bar staff is fun and friendly and the place is always clean. Friday and Saturday they have live music, so good. And what can be said about the young man doing the food. Jay is simply a very talented cook. This place is so cool. They had a driver pick up our party of 10 from our hotel for a night of dinner, drinks, and live entertainment on Saturday. The prime rib was juicy and the beer was ice cold. The manager took really good care of us and even got us out on the dance floor. Good music from a band they had drive in from Los Angeles. At the end of the evening Becky (the Manager) arranged for the shuttle to take us back to our hotel. Perfect evening after a long hot day on the water. read more

Sand Bar overall is a pretty awesome and welcoming place. The staff was amazing aswell as the food. Servers really stayed on top of everything from taking your order to frequently asking if you need anything and taking any dishes that you're done with that are in your way.
