A severe sewage smell and hazard was present in the property for the entire 5-night stay. The host acknowledged it and sent a plumber, but the plumber did not resolve it, so the hazard remained active the whole time we were there. Airbnb's own investigation into the issue found the host uncooperative, and Airbnb ultimately covered part of the cost themselves since the host would not engage with their process. After the stay, the host contacted me off-platform by phone to coach specific wording to use in an Airbnb refund request, then later used that same wording to falsely report my honest review as coercion, getting it removed. An Airbnb specialist later investigated and confirmed the review did not violate policy and reinstated it. If you're considering this property, know that a documented health hazard went unresolved for a full stay with vulnerable family members present, and be cautious about any off-platform contact from this host regarding reviews or refunds.

I want to warn others unless you want a college frat house party room, room 50 is probably not for you. Unit 29 is absolutely delightful! Spacious room with retro decor and dishes. It reminded me of my childhood. Large living/ dining area with a partial ocean view. King size bed with a huge closet for storage. Those of you that love a fan, the bedroom has a fan over the bed on the ceiling! It was wonderful!! Everything you need is here! I would love to stay here again. I'd also like to mention the house & ground keepers were excellent and friendly. The place is really kept up nicely.

We got there at 3 PM & told it wasn't ready so we did our grocery shopping for the week. We went back to the realty office, got our keys, arrived at the condo to see that the service staff had completed cleaning it the previous day. :/ No biggie, but thought I'd mention it. Upon arriving at condo #501 it is a throwback to the 80s. This also wasn't a biggie because we were spending most of our time at the beach, Busch Gardens, or sight seeing. The place was neat but we noticed some of the furniture was dusty; no biggie. There were also tiny ants; also no biggie. What was nice is the rear balcony that wrapped around the side as this is a corner condo. Theres also a smaller balcony at the front as part of the only bedroom. The residents & vacationers here were great! Free Wifi. The pool is a nice alternative to the beach. If you want to rent a cabana look up Beach Service West Rentals. They're very nice.

This is to update my original post. Several items in our…read morerented condo needed to be addressed. (broken chairs, refrigerator door, plugs not working, etc...) I sent an email each morning with my concerns. Apparently, the email was NOT read by the "powers that be" and I was using the wrong email address. Therefore, I was not getting a response. I was finally contacted by Amanda, a representative for Plumlee. The items in the condo were not fixed during our stay, but they were able to get the AC working when it went out. Amanda was pleasant and informative.

The oven took over an hour to get to temperature and both showers had no water pressure and didn't drain properly. Still a solid experience…read more We came here for one evening to celebrate the end of school. We came at about 3:15 PM on a Friday and our room was ready early which was great. We were on floor 16 which is the top floor. At first, I was worried I would be afraid going on the balcony because of how high it is, but it doesn't feel terribly high. I actually recommend asking for a higher floor because that's where the best views of the beach are. We only went to the Opal sol pool this time instead of Opal Sands. They have two pools, which is great because one felt like an adult pool whereas the other one felt like a children pool even though there was no designation. It made me feel better about my two children splashing about. There is also a pool by the Spa that I think adults should escape to if they want to get away from children. The one downside of the pool is they don't have many servers walking around taking orders. I ended up walking up to the bar to put in a food and drink order because the only server was on the far side of the pool the entire time. I tried berries and bubbles and a strawberry Mo-to-to, both were fantastic. We learned we do not like the chips and salsa. My older son did and liked the queso, but nobody else in the family did. We also love the hot tub and you can turn on jets if you want. Even though it doesn't feel like they have a ton of seating, we never had a hard time finding a seat, so people do a good job cleaning up after themselves if they leave their seats. They also have tons of towels, I never thought I would appreciate this so much until we were at another hotel that limited guests to four at a time, so I appreciate that you can take towels to the beach and then come back and grab new towels. The rooms are beautiful. They feel spacious and everything is still pretty new since it was built at the beginning of 2025. All rooms look at the beach, so it is nice sitting on the balcony and looking out at the water. One random criticism is that they don't have any non-caffeinated tea, all their tea has caffeine in it that they offer in the room. Room service is very quick. We got chicken tenders and fries and grilled chicken and fries. I tried the Ahi tuna starter and loved it. My younger son loved his grilled chicken and older son ate the fries. Even though the hotel isn't right on the beach, it is literally across the street from the beach so super convenient to get to. Clearwater beach is beautiful. It has powdery white sand, and there are ample amounts of chairs that you can purchase to sit on. They only have valet so the one downside is it takes a while to get your car, but if most of your vacation is on the beach, you won't need your car anyway. I also appreciate that they have snacks that they put out at 8 AM. They also apparently have cookies at 3 PM, but we totally missed seeing that. I forgot to bring the kids snacks so this was a lifesaver when the kids grabbed granola bars for breakfast. They also have Board games on every floor, which I think is a nice touch. I always enjoy our stay here. I would recommend.

The feel is very modern with large rooms and balconies. The rooms have kitchens, free snacks and refreshments. You can get even more amenities by upgrading your room. The resort is connected to Opal Sands (a sister resort) by a skybridge. Guests have access to both properties! You can use pools, restaurants, spas and more! The rooms are well appointed and spacious! I enjoyed the amazing spa and can't wait to return!

The top-tier, like this one, is only 30,000 a night which is a steal compared to the price you would pay to stay here. I would highly recommend redeeming all your points to stay at this location. This hotel is right on the beach. I mean, you do have to cross a road to get to the beach, but there's nothing that obstructs your view if you have a gulf facing room. At first, I was kind of disappointed that we didn't have a full gulf facing view, we had a partial gulf view. I did think to myself that it would be worth it in the future to upgrade to a gulf view. It must be super popular because when I looked on the website to see if there were any more gulf views available, there weren't. However, the one benefit of having a partial gulf view, which means we faced the pool that looks diagonally at the water, is when it pours your balcony doesn't get wet. And man on our last day, did the weather turn and it rained hard. It was actually quite nice to sit on the balcony and watch the rain. Everybody we came into contact here was super friendly. From the bar staff to check in, we never met anyone that wasn't nice. The general manager at this resort is also a gem. I mentioned that we were celebrating a special occasion, and he had a gift basket sent to our room. That definitely made a huge difference, especially since we have been staying at different hotels along the beach, little touches like that really solidified that this is our new favorite. The pool is on the smaller side, but there are tons of chairs so it looks like even if you don't get a chair in a prime location there are ones always available. This seems to be more of an adult resort, the vibes were on the elevated partying side. That's not to say we didn't see kids, because we definitely did, but we saw a lot less children than we have at other resorts (like at the JW). The room itself was beautiful, it was clean and nicely decorated. Like I said, I love the balcony and the view. It felt spacious. The resort also puts on some activities like yoga, sunset coffee and sweets, and it played the sandlot one evening outside at the pool. I appreciate that they put all these different activities. This resort is close to everything so I would highly recommended if you were looking for a Clearwater Beach resort.

PROS; -Walkable to just about everything! We didn't rent a car for our trip so it was perfect to be able to access nearby restaurants, shops, and more all on foot. -The pool deck is very large, well kept, and very well staffed. Tons of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Everyone working there was so dang nice! You can receive pool-side service for food & drink, or head up to the attached bar to grab what you need. Definitely a little on the pricey side, but a lot of good options. -We booked a one-bedroom suite and it was delightful! Sooo spacious, likely more than we needed. It was super clean and modern. Very nice, updated bathrooms and walk-in glass showers. Our patio was also huge, providing beautiful views of the Mandalay Channel. Beds were comfy, and they even so kindly provided us with a cot/crib for our youngest. Hugee for parents - that was super appreciated! -Literally every single person working there that we interacted with was beyond sweet! Five-star service and friendliness from all staff. CONS: -Little to no cleaning service in the room (unless requested??). Maybe I missed how this works, but it was a little of a bummer having overflowing trash cans and dirty dishes we weren't sure what to otherwise do with. They were very quick to bring fresh towels upon request, however! -Given the size of our suite, we would have loved to have a few extra usable items in the kitchen area, like any kind of napkins/paper towels, silverware, and soap do to a little washing up. Surely don't expect it to be fully stocked with appliances and plateware, but it seemed a little odd how big it was with truly nothing to use it for. All in all, we would absolutely stay here again, and would most certainly recommend it to others (especially families). Thanks for a great stay!
