This is to update my original post. Several items in our rented condo needed to be addressed. (broken chairs, refrigerator door, plugs not working, etc...) I sent an email each morning with my concerns. Apparently, the email was NOT read by the "powers that be" and I was using the wrong email address. Therefore, I was not getting a response. I was finally contacted by Amanda, a representative for Plumlee. The items in the condo were not fixed during our stay, but they were able to get the AC working when it went out. This was the third year we have rented from Plumlee. The staff is excellent and very accommodating with any issues. I do feel that the beds should be decent with the price we are paying. All three bedrooms in our unit need new beds and were told it was out of there hands and up to the owners. The oven took over an hour to get to temperature and both showers had no water pressure and didn't drain properly. Aside from that the view and location are unbeatable but wish some upgrades would be done. read more

I stayed at Sand Castle III 402 from 9/5/24-9/15/24. I wasn't expecting much as I was visiting from Honolulu and work in the vacation rental industry. I was so relieved and impressed with my stay. The condo was perfect. It was clean, cozy, perfectly stocked and the staff (from late check in, to building maintenance staff and follow-ups) did an exceptional job. The location was perfect for us. Plenty of parking, great restaurant across the street, not to mention everything we needed for the beach. It was really hot and the pop up tent was an extra unexpected bonus. We were able to rent a boat and jet skis right across the street. I literally have no complaints or "recommendations for a better stay". We plan to return for a graduation in February and hope to stay again! read more

Supplies are more than adequate for our one or two weeks stay. When we work with the reservationist or any of the office personnel or maintenance everybody is very professional and goes above to take care of anything we need. We stayed in Sandcastle 1 June 2024. we had two issues. We set the air conditioner to 70 degrees as instructed. our condo was never at 70 degrees. on Saturday our condo was at 80 degrees. The condo usually stayed at around 74 degrees. The instructions told us to leave the shades shut in order to keep the condo cool. We did this unless we were in the room because the reason we picked the condo was for the view. Called the after hours phone number and was told the ac man doesn't go on the roof after 9 then she realized it was 8:42 and said he doesn't go on the roof after 8. She said I can take your number and someone will call you back on Monday. The paper we were given when we arrived said maintenance was available on Saturday and Sunday 9-5 and ac was considered an emergency. On Sunday we had no hot water. No one had even took a shower or used water yet except cold water for coffee pot. Called and left a message. Call was never returned. Dryer would only run two cycles back to back then you could run again tge next day. Every night in two of the three bedrooms we had to use a box fan and the ceiling fan. Door lock was always hard to open. Tge sliding door to the deck was impossible to open even if you barely closed it. Worst customer service ever. No one ever called us back about our issues. The condo we rented thru Plumlee at Quiet Waters in Indian Rocks FL was very run down, dirty and unpleasant..over priced. Great view / location. Furniture..some broken, mismatched..tattered. poorly appointed...kitchen not properly supplied. read more

Don't know where to begin. Day of arrival our 1 and only spot was filled with cleaners for the building from Plumlee @ 3:45pm and when I asked if they could move so I could park my truck in my assigned spot I was told that they are allowed to park there till 4pm and I would need to wait. Mean while there were guest spots that they could have parked in while I unloaded our vehicle that took around an hr. While checking into our unit still bringing stuff upstairs cause they only have shopping carts from your local out of business grocery store my wife and mother started to ask when housekeeping was going to come. Floors we not cleaned still had food and debris everywhere. Sand on the entertainment center food on the floor. Called and ask if they could send housekeeping back to have someone show up with only a mop and vacuum nothing to wipe anything down or sanitize anything. SO spent $3500 for 7 days at their property only to have to run to Walmart for cleaning products to feel clean enough to sleep cause housekeeping didn't have anything. As I sat on the couch that night I look up and said man I wonder how many of these dust balls are gonna fall on us while we sleep. I get in the bed in the master suite that evening only to find that the bed was as old as I was and had a dip so bad that I couldn't even roll over to try and hug my wife if I wanted to. Fast forward 8 hrs to my mother, two kids and wife and I waking up to sore backs this is very annoying and would think that there should be a standard they would up hold. Called and wasn't able to speak with anyone cause it was Sunday so I called again on Monday am to speak with the Manager who stated that he couldn't suit everyones likes on the mattresses and I stated I didn't ask for a sleep number just a bed that was flat and not horrible. Maintenance came and changed filter added blinds also brought a new fan for the kids room. The maintenance guy stated I am surprised they even rented the room to you in this condition and so were we. I then called at night the emergency line and spoke with a lady and told her we couldn't lock our door and didn't get a call back from anyone so I called the next morning around 10 and they advised they would send someone. Fast forward to checkout when I asked to speak with the manager he was in a meeting from sat the 29th till Tuesday Aug 1st apparently cause I never got a call. Finally spoke with manager who then stated there is nothing he could do for me as far as discount or anything cause he couldn't verify there issues. As a person who travels a lot with a daughter in competitive cheer and son in travel baseball I have never had a worse experience in our lives. To say we will never step foot into a Plumlee ran property is an understatement. If your looking for service or quality in a room their company is not it. Considering we are only 3 hours away from this beach and we have been 5 times in the last 5 years I would tell everyone to check out Legacy Vacation Resort around 1/2 mile down the beach. Cleanliness and service is amazing there. read more

We have been coming to Sandcastle II for over 20 years and for the past 11 we have went through the owners of the units and they always used Plumlee as the rental agents. Which by the way do not anymore which should of been my first warning sign. Last year I contacted the owners like I always did and they sent the dates to Plumlee and it was booked. I received the email for the deposit and we would good to go. When arriving June 19th we went to Plumlee to get our keys and parking passes and even gave the lady behind the counter the unit we were staying in. They gave us the packet and told us to wait until 4:00 to check into our room. At 4:00 we walked up to the door tried to use the code and it was not working. The door to the condo open to a very confused couple who informed us that they own this condo and have been owners since November 2020. I called Plumlee immediately to ask what was going on and they informed me that they moved us and no one had contacted us to tell us that we now are in a different condo with different bedroom accommodations. When I told them this would not work for our family considering now a couple would have to sleep in twins bed I got informed that the entire complex was full and the condo they put us in was our only choice. We are booking our Florida trip for next year and needing 4 condos so I emailed Plumlee asking what they could do to help us considering what they did to us this year and the response was 10% like every year to returning families. We will be going through VRBO or Airbnb from now on. Not impressed at all with their consumer service or the way they conducted business. Go somewhere else to book these condos....... read more

To be honest we have stayed with this group in Florida for several years. This year ended that i cancelled a much needed vacation last week since Florida is the newest hot spot...my mom is sick and I just cannot take the risk. We were told when we booked not to worry at all...they are flexible. Apparently flexible is a $200 cancellation fee or they hang on to your payment for another 14 months when we can come back. This is a very tough time to travel...just sucks they dont realize that-I mean the hospitals are at max capacity!!! Let me Run and pack a bag to hurry up and get there! Disappointed in their lack of customer service-phone call with manager was worthless as well. Our stay was a mixed bag JULY 17-24, a bag of RED TIDE that would choke you to walk out side. We could not go out to the Beach but for a few minutes to check out the dead fish. The trip we planned was ruined , could not enjoy the Beach, could not enjoy the Gulf. True PLUMLEE has NO control over the red tide that was created by a PLANT spell, but they could have gave us a warning ( looks like the spill started in March of this year) to travel someplace else . I don't think I will be giving Plumlee future business after paying good Money for a condo and getting so little . The Beach is the reason we traveled to this location . I called while I was in Indian Rocks complained to someone and did not hear back. Live and learn . On the positive side the unit was nice, and furnished o.k. On the negative side - top of the Fridge was filthy on top, Black mold in the shower of the Master bath. I have said enough . read more

We stayed in Sandcastle III unit 603 November 10-15 2018 for our anniversary. It had a beautiful view and furnishings but the ventalation system was so dirty I had to seek medical treatment during our stay which diminished our trip and my confidence in this company. I still have not been contacted by anyone even with all the fussing I did during and upon leaving! Never again! read more

Reseved a place on 10-26-2019.Paid 305.46 deposit.Reservation was for 1 24-2020.I had to cancel the trip on 11-22-2019 a full 2 months before arrival..I knew I would not get the insurance fee back.I only received 105.46 refund back.This is just plain wrong.Have rented from Plumlee before in years back and have told other people to call them.Never again.Very angry about this.I am sure they will rent the place with no problem.Not like I cancelled right before the trip.Live and learn.DO NOT USE Plumlee read more

I have had three truly disappointing experiences with this business. Ultimately, it may just come down to a reality that property owners, not renters, are it's real customers, at least in the revenue-generating sense, and that that bleeds through to the treatment of renters. On this past trip, I rented a two bathroom condo on the beach, anticipating that I could bathe my six year old in the tub of the second bathroom. Unfortunately, there was no hot water (or to be precise, there was less than two minutes of hot water) for the tub. Try bathing a six year old in cold water. Of course, this was a property specific issue, not Plumlee's issue. So, on the first day of my trip that their office was open, I came in and explained the issue. The lady I dealt with was kind and ensured me that they would have the issue addressed. She also asked me to be patient, as they had a list of other maintenance issues to address. I was patient. The issue was never dealt with. I ended up having to bathe my kid at the house of people I know in the area. Upon leaving, I raised this serious failure with a lady at Plumlee. I raised it very gently. She was amazingly discourteous in response. The idea that maybe she should express empathy or regret that the issue was never fixed during my weeklong stay apparently did not even enter her mind for consideration. She even intimidated that it was my fault for not calling them back again, despite what the original lady had said about giving them time to get the work done. This is the third time I've been simply appalled at the way the staff of this business acts toward renters. The first time I had a very troubling experience at Plumlee, I wrote out a whole review for posting, but I decided I'd give them another chance. I figured the person I dealt with may have been having a bad day, and there are always things going on in people's lives that we don't know about. The second time, when they forgot to include my passcode in my late check-in envelope, and the late night contact person suggested that I should find a hotel because there was no one else he could call, I ultimately forgave them, because they finally, after further pestering on my part, got me into the unit for the night. But three times is three times guys! I'm done with these people. They get two stars because the location of their rental office, which is super convenient right near the bridge to the beaches. read more

Sandcastle 1 Unit 202 I will start with the staff they were fabulous. Very friendly when checking in and leaving. But the unit was severely outdated. One of the twin beds frame was broken and just propped up. The paint was chipped and dirty in appearance in several of the rooms. The sliding doors were horrible to open. The handle to the sliding doors from the master bedroom was literally crumbling off. The kitchen was minimally stocked with very cheap accessories. Elevators was a don't even go there kinda thing. Thank goodness we were on the 2nd floor so we used the stairs. The smell from the dumpster was quite awful. Smelled like a dead animal any time you walked outside on the street side. Whats up with that??? Would have been nice to have outdoor furniture that you could see above the railing instead of the cheap plastic table and 3 chairs. If you need guest parking I would suggest you not leave after getting a spot. Space is very limited and they do not tow public vehicles that were taking up the space. Other than all that, with a little time and investment into the unit, I think it would be a lovely place to stay. Our stay was July 20th through 27th of 2019. Stayed in Holiday Villas II -unit 104 for Spring Break with 3 daughters and my mom. It was great to have the spaciousness that an older condo offers and the 2 bathrooms. It was outdated and could use a paint job in the bathrooms as well as new fixtures. Any issues we had were quickly addressed by maintenance who where very kind and friendly. It has direct access to a beautiful beach and there is a really nice salt-water pool. Would definitely stay here again! read more

Stayed at Chateau, #507 in Indian Shores. The staff at Plumlee were very courteous. The condo was clean and well stocked with staple items to get us stared. The pool had plenty of float gear and the room even had some along with beach toys for kids (left by owner). I wish I would have know ahead of time, but they also have a "leave one take one" book exchange in this particular condo. You couldn't get a better view. The condo was steps away from the beach and the view from the balcony was awesome. Plumvee has a wide selection of rental units and I will definately use them again next time I stay on the West Coast of Florida. read more

We had a wonderful time and everyone was so nice and helpful. I believe the woman that helped us was Charlene. She was so friendly and answered all of our questions. We booked a condo in January, for spring break. The unit was Sand Castle III Unit 603. When we arrived at our condo it stunk of rotten fish, the thermostat was hanging out of the wall by cords, air conditioning was not working, bugs and gnats were coming out of garbage disposal, and there was blood on kitchen counter and switches. We called Plumlee several times and were disconnected. We finally drove back to the office where I was told they did not have another unit for us, the lady,I believe her name was Jackie, never apologized for our inconvenience, and told us to leave because the police were on their way. I was upset, but never threatened anyone, never hit any one or thing. We were refunded our money, and left with no place to go. DO NOT GO TO PLUMLEE!!!! read more

I do not have experience with using Plumlee for a vacation rental, but as far as long-term rentals go they are HORRIBLE. The long-term rental manager, Mike Petruccelli is non-communicative and very unprofessional. From the moment we looked at the rental until now, 4 months later, they have been a nightmare to work with. Starting with taking weeks to get us a lease after they took our deposit, then after it was executed telling us that the lease was "incorrect" so we had to sign another. Multiple trips to their office to get that straightened out. A promise of professional cleaning and carpet cleaning before we moved in, which they said had been completed, but was not upon move in. Then we mail our rent to the address they provided on the lease only to discover 2 weeks later, when it was returned as undelivered, that they had given us the wrong address. The property has been on the market and so we were told we would be given notice for showings. Sometimes we were, sometimes we were not. Twice we had people show up unannounced. One let himself in with the key in the lock box while we were home. Finally had the lock box removed. We were told we would be given PLENTY of notice when they had a buyer. We were never contacted. Instead we heard through the grapevine and from the current owner that there was a potential buyer. This evening we came home to no water in the unit. Apparently the current owner was told by Mr. Petruccelli that the property had sold so he had the water turned off, but when contacted by our neighbor, Mr. Petruccelli said it did not close as planned and that he can't do anything about the water. For all the times we called the office or sent an e-mail to his assistant with our concerns/complaints, Mr. Petruccelli never once picked up the phone or sent an e-mail to address our concerns. Zero customer service. There are many long-term rental agencies and individuals to use in Indian Rocks Beach. I recommend you stay far away from Plumlee. Next year when we are ready to buy you can be sure we will avoid them at all cost. read more
