The Sand Castle tries really hard to be a top notch Wedding hall, I just don't think it works. Attended a good friend's wedding this weekend. Bathrooms are on the second floor, stairs or one elevator available. No drinks allowed on the staircase lol The bar service is excellent, too shelf liquors, shots are no issue. Quick and friendly service. Table service is excellent as was the service during the cocktail hour. My issue comes down to the food. Highlights at the cocktail hour included the shrimp cocktail, roasted suckling pig. Dinner service the burrata with roasted peppers was good. The pasta sauce was great, the pasta itself was cooked too long. The filet mignon was beautiful unfortunately they overcooked it....dont ask me for a temperature if you aren't going to cook it the way I requested. We attended a wedding this weekend and it really surprised me how detailed and well taken care the event was! We used the whole "castle" our first stop was downstairs where there was a small waiting hall with food and drinks, there were so many people attending and guiding you through the event which makes us feel very welcome! Then they redirect us yo the rooftop where the ceremony was taken place, it was a gorgeous roof open area where we all sat and watched an amazing ceremony! Then we moved over, in that same floor, to the cocktail hour and the food was overflowing, there was so much variety and so many server also giving us more food, what an amazing organization Then they moved us to the reception area where our tables were, they put so much thought into each detail and each server for each table was GREAT! Heads up for Katherine who was always so attentive and amazing at serving our table! In our table we enjoyed a 4 meal course, everything so delicious and splendid, I would definitely recommend it! The organization of the event was impeccable and I was very happy to attend it! Notes: there is only one bathroom in the second floor which is kind of inconvenient when you are dancing or eating (there is an accessible bathroom on the 1st floor but you need the code to open it) There were 2 bar areas and all the bartenders were top notch, so suggest to bring lots of singles and $5 bills, they deserve it! I've been to this venue for several weddings and never had the urge to leave a review until now. Let me start by saying, Ive had some great memories here for friends' weddings. Previous times never warranted me to complain about anything. There is no sugar coating it... The entrees were terrible. Even trying each other's dishes at the table proved the food was not good. The menu listed the shrimp scampi (uncleaned /not deveined shrimp), filet mignon (they need a new purveyor), branzino (overcooked beyond reason), and salmon (very overcooked) etc... I couldn't understand how wedding venue food can be so subpar. It wasn't even warm!!! The service was undeniably the worst. Never have I had to say "Im not finished" TWICE and still have the plate taken off the table. Worst part... IT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN ALL NIGHT. How do you take a plate away while I'm in the midst of feeding my child?! To top it off the serving staff poured quarter cups of coffee to end the night. Who does that? What more to say than to let the owners know that things need to change. This was a huge let down. I wish them well and hope to see change if I'm ever invited back to this venue. read more

I attended a wedding at this venue. The venue had great staff and the bartenders were on point. The atrium outside was beautiful and I loved that it had windows you could open so you could feel the breeze. The bar outside is beautifully decorated but it was not used. Must be part of another package. The food during cocktail hour was spectacular! The setup was perfectly designed and they had a little show with the signature drinks. Cocktail hour was in a separate room perfectly arranged. The bartenders were great, i don't know about everyone else but my guy always remembered my order. But.... The alcohol was definitely diluted. The main ballroom was a little outdated in my opinion. Bathrooms are located on the second floor which is kind of inconvenient. But if you constantly like taking photos the second floor has all the photo op places. The wedding in itself was great, DJ was Awesome! Had the crowd up all night! read more

I recently attended a Wedding reception here for my Cousin and his new Missus and to the best of my knowledge this was my first time ever going to this event space for an affair. From the outside it looks like a castle and the paint makes it appear to be as its name implies, a sand castle and I found that to be pretty cool. Inside I found it to be very spacious. There was a pre-gathering room while the cocktail hour was set up and having arrived a little before this the family and I all enjoyed a beverage and light snacks. This was fruits, cheeses and some cold cuts. Best not to fill up on such things with the imminent Happy Hour. The cocktail hour was to die for if you are a fan of seafood options which I am. There were clams, oysters, shrimp and calamari. There were even some sliced cheeses and meats for those who preferred the option. Truth be told I could have stayed there and just enjoyed this fare while the reception went on around us but we would all soon have to move to the main space. Part of me wanted to bring a half dozen shrimp down there with me but I thought better of it. Now in the main space I can only say that it was spacious. So many tables and so many people. My Cousin went big for this one and hey its a once in a lifetime event and his Wedding party was a big one. Musically they had a DJ but also a dude playing percussion. I liked that a lot and wished I had thought of something like that in my own pursuit of music but I digress. For the main course I went with the prime rib as I had my fill of seafood and didn't feel like chicken. This was cooked to my specifications and while there were also veggies on the plate, there wasn't "too much". After the cake cutting, the dessert section came out and it was another massive thing. I feel that every treat known to mankind was on there but I kept it simple since I did want to fit into the pants I wore once again. I left feeling pretty full There was a WiFi signal which is always nice for any slow moments or needed distraction on social media and the staff we had for our table and pretty much all of them were spot on. Soon it was time to go and while I cannot gauge when and if I will return here I know that it would be a good time. This venue on the outside is beautiful and the outside replicates a castle. Fortunately, it was a beautiful day which made the outside view even more beautiful. Cocktail hour was basic, but food was still good. There is a raw bar, salad stations and a bar that descends from the ceiling. The party room we were in was pretty spacious with two bars. The staff were very nice and accommodating. My only negative comment (not a deal breaker) is that the bathrooms are up the stairs or downstairs depending on which room your event is taking place. For men not a problem, but us ladies with heels on and one too many, it was a trip! Lol Definitely worth checking out for your next event! read more

Came here for a wedding over the holiday weekend and I was surprised to find out how beautiful this venue was. We have been living in Franklin Square for over 8 years and we passed by this place a lot, but never gone inside before. The interior design and the lightings were great. The staffs were super friendly and on top of everything. It had lots of picture spots, such as the mini waterfall, the garden, the stairs, etc. The ballroom was big enough to seat over 300 guests with a big dance floor in the middle. I will say it is definitely a hidden gem in Franklin Square. read more

When my BIL offers my 19 year old son beer and shows him a tattoo image of a Japanese devil and tells him that he should get one, you have to miss these kinds of family gatherings since the pandemic hit. Today, my gorgeous niece finally got married at this beautiful venue in Long Island. I'm never crazy for wedding food but everything we had was pretty darn delish and well prepared. The guests had a choice of 7 entrees to choose from. I thought my son's choice, rack of lamb, had the best presentation. No pics as I was busy dancing and by the time I sat down, the boy was already halfway done. I thought it was nice that the staff later came by to ask each guest if we would like any other second main entrees. And of course my son asked for the filet mignon. As our waiter poured coffee for us, he told me to get ready for an amazing dessert presentation. And it was, they rolled out carts after carts of desserts of churros, beignets, puddings, ice-cream, cookies, cakes, pretzels, crepes, etc. Whatever your sweet heart desires, they had it. The guests went crazy for it and I had a hard time looking for an opening to get some of the ones I wanted. I want to start off by saying I have never left a review like this in my entire life, but when you put everything you have into a special event like your wedding day, there should be a certain level of service that is expected. I will say that there were no major issues leading up to our wedding day, but that all changed once we were paid in full. As many probably know, Sand Castle offers a honeymoon package in Greece as part of the wedding package, and this is part of their sales pitch when trying to win your business. The resort looked beautiful on the brochure, and is what put us over the top. I have to say, Greece is beautiful and the first 3 hotels we stayed in were very moderately priced and were extremely clean and well maintained. However, once we got to the "Sand Castle" resort, everything changed. This was supposed to be the highlight of our honeymoon, but instead we were left scrambling for an alternative option the second we walked into the room. The room was absolutely disgusting. The private pool on the balcony was clearly not touched for MONTHS. You couldn't even see the bottom of the pool and there were a ton of dead bugs just floating on top. The room was full of cobwebs, bugs, OTHER PEOPLE'S LUGGAGE, a broken door, and the TV's didn't work. On top of that, when I went to the bathroom, the window was literally COVERED with probably about 100 dead bugs caked on the inside. It was obvious this room was not cleaned for a very long time. So when we went back up to the front desk to request a different room, that's when we learned that Sand Castle only owns/rents a couple of rooms within the resort, and every other room at the resort was recently renovated/ updated. But get this - THE PICS THEY SHOWED TO US ON THE BROCHURE WERE THE ROOMS THEY DIDN'T OWN AND WERE ACTUALLY RENOVATED!! A blatant lie on their part. I have to say, the people at the front desk for the resort were helpful and eventually were able to move us out of the shitty Sand Castle room and into one of the recently renovated rooms. We were appreciative about this and felt like the honeymoon was back on track. Unfortunately, even the renovated room was best described as "lipstick on a pig". We checked out and went to a different resort down the road. I reached out to SC via email on May 29th. They were originally apologetic and promised they would make it right. Then the responses were getting slower and slower. I kept having to follow up to get a response. I sent follow up emails on 6/2, 6/3, 6/15, 6/23, 6/24, 6/27, 6/28, and finally on 7/10. The only response I got was that "the hotel's maintenance and housekeeping are beyond our control". Just bad bad business. That final email on July 10th was to 3 manager-like people at the company - Loula, Frank, and Jamie. I wanted to give them another opportunity to make things right. To be clear, ALL I WANTED WAS TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE HOTEL I HAD TO BOOK DUE TO THE NEGLIGENCE BY SAND CASTLE. A few hundred bucks back after spending tens of thousands of dollars. And guess what happened - NOT ONE OF THEM RESPONDED TO ME. I have never come across a company, let alone a wedding venue, that would ghost their customers like this. Like I said I have never given a review like this before, but when so much is being invested into one extremely important day, people should be aware of certain companies like Sand Castle that change their service level the second they are paid in full. read more

Attended a friend's wedding here in early November and the event was well managed from beginning to end (from a guest's point of view). The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were held in different areas of the venue and staff members made sure those transitions were smooth by making announcements and herding everyone (around 250 guests!) to those spaces in a reasonable amount of time. Ceremony was held indoors due to the early sunset and cold temperatures. The ceremony area was a bit cold, so make sure to sit next to those lava patio heaters (not too close though, because they do get quite hot!) Cocktail hour: SO MUCH FOOD. The highlights are definitely the sushi and oysters. Everything else was similar to what you would get at other wedding banquets and didn't stand out for me as much. Reception/sit-down dinner: SO MUCH FOOD. This is the first time that I enjoyed the dinner entrees more than the cocktail hour food at a wedding, so I regret eating so much during cocktail hour. The filet mignon was perfect- definitely save room for dinner! They also served seconds (!!) in case you were still hungry. Viennese hour: SO MUCH FOOD. Just when you think you couldn't have any more food, they literally roll out carts and carts and carts of dessert! Saw fruit tarts, mini chocolate cakes, and so much more! There was a specialty coffee station and fondue station as well that was set up by the DJ booth. Drinks: Lychee martini was the best! Just the right balance (not too sweet and the liquor did not overpower the lychee taste). Dance floor: large dancing space Plenty of room to move around between tables as well. In case you didn't get the message, come hungry because there is seemingly an endless amount of food. If you're the bride/groom, don't worry if you don't get to eat anything during the reception because the staff will pack TONS of leftovers for you to take home... My friend's fridge was filled! The descending martini bar during cocktail hour and the revolving wall (for bride and groom entrance during reception) is pretty unique. Wouldn't mind returning to Sand castle for another event! Only cons: - No drinks on the stairs, so couldn't bring unfinished drinks to different areas of the venue - Restrooms are up a flight of stairs from the reception hall, which might be a hassle for anyone with young children, mobility issues, and/or the elderly. read more

Stunning can not convey how this venue looks. The cocktail rooms are elegant and spacious. The drinks were delicious. The wait staff was pleasant and very attentive. Now to the food. OUTSTANDING!! I filled up on fresh shrimp cocktails as well as tender strips of prime rib and turkey. The main dishes were very well done. I had the filet mignon (med rare) and it melted on the first bite! The grilled veggies were well seasoned and crisp to the bite. The deserts were absolutely scrumptious! I would recommend this place to everyone. read more

The grounds are pleasantly appointed with fountains and water effects and outside wedding area is well isolated from the surrounding "traffic" of the main road! The place itself and its decor is a bit cheesy but I have to say I quite enjoy this place. Modeled after an actual castle on the outside but the inside is pretty generic and looks like most catering halls. I've been here for several holiday parties the last couple of years and they do a great job. The cocktail hour is quite good and I love seeing the martini bar make an appearance as it descends from the ceiling. There is always a great variety of food from the raw bar to the roast pig. The sit down dinner is also very good. The quality of each dish is impressive with a 300 person party and the wait staff is always on point. My only disappointment this year was the viennese hour. This year they did not have that much of a selection and everything went VERY quickly without it being replenished. Other than that I thoroughly enjoy attending parties here. read more

Have you ever had this feeling that you are expecting a certain place to be beautiful but when you see it is way more than beautiful to what you are expecting it? My first time to this place and I can't agree enough with other reviewers of how they have enjoyed this place. I myself had a wonderful experience last weekend. We attended a 40th anniversary/renewal of vows celebration of "good couple" friends last Sunday. From the cocktail hour down to it's dessert service were nothing but exceptional. If we were overwhelmed, I imagine the couple were as well. The amount of food and drinks we got whether from the cocktail time or from the main event were unbelievable. Each piece has this distinctive gourmet taste. The presentation of food was outstanding. Abundance is the word that best describe of the food servings. Nobody left hungry. We even declined the second serving of the main course offer. The wait staff was attentive, courteous and wonderful. The place is beautiful. It's decoration is marvelous. The main dining room is above and beyond to our expectations. Their ballroom is the most grandeurs I have seen to all parties I have attended. The table centerpieces, table settings and its table locators were so lovely and elegant. The rest of the afternoon was unimaginable. Who could beat on how they presented the couple to the guests- through the turning stage? It was an unforgettable classy and fancy evening. The food is cool there served Ethnic Nationality background food here. COUPLES BEWARE My brother booked this venue for their wedding last year (pre covid). They were able to change dates just fine. However with the new restrictions of 150 guests, the venue is trying to charge them for their initial headcount of 300 and will not refund their deposit. This is a difficult time for businesses but taking advantage of your clients given a global pandemic is unscrupulous. My advice to this vendor - be accommodating and flexible. Charge according to the *mandated* headcount and not what you feel you would've received otherwise. My advice to couples - please bring this up during booking and make sure your contract reflects the necessary flexibility during this time. read more

I came here back in December for my company's Christmas party. The place itself is a little tacky (marble/ granite everywhere/ mirrors/ castle theme, etc). I totally judged the book by its cover upon arrival and I was nervous about the food. I was so, so, so pleasantly surprised by the entire event at this venue. The cocktail hour was fantastic (specifically noting the raw bar). I was happy with the wide variety of choices that we were given during this part of the party. We also were given many choices for our main course once we were seated. I ordered pistachio crusted lamb chops and the dish was well prepared. I am never enamored by catering hall food, but this place really hit the mark. Everyone from the company I work for raved about the party and it seems like we will have the party at the same venue again this coming Christmas! The only thing that I really did not like about this place was being shuffled around all over the building. The cocktail hour and restrooms were upstairs while the main reception room was downstairs. Every time we went near a set of stairs, there was a waiter collecting unfinished drinks. It was a trek from the main ballroom all the way upstairs to the restrooms. read more

We just got married in May 2023 and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue to go with. Our friends recommended us to check out this venue because of the beautiful space, top notch service, quality food and reasonable pricing. It went beyond our expectations. Frank and Jamie were so great to work with, very detailed oriented, organized, friendly and professional. They were so accommodating as we told them our vision of adding Chinese traditions and elements into our reception, it wasn't their first time doing it and their staff are very familiar with it. We also love that they focus on one wedding at a time, I truly felt like a VIP. Venue: The venue itself was gorgeous and very glamorous, both the indoor and outdoor spaces. Having an outdoor ceremony was extremely important to me, but the rain caused us to use the covered outdoor space. My husband and I believe that it was a blessing in disguise because that indoor/outdoor wedding ceremony space was beyond beautiful. It still felt like it was outside, and the team set up the space in less than 15 minutes! Shout out to Maria Lo designer of the center pieces which were gorgeous and she does all sorts of events with amazing flowers Food: My guests are still raving about the food, even the picky foodies! Both for the cocktail hour and lunch time. I've been to many weddings and very few places offer 7 different entree options + a kids meal. They also wrote the entree names in Chinese which means so much to me that my Chinese speaking family could read it directly. Everyone was also over the moon about the cocktail bar that descended from the ceiling! The dessert TRAIN! yes you heard me, it wasn't a plate of dessert or an assortment, it was multiple TRAINS of desserts, fruits, cakes, churros, ice cream, pudding, anything your mind could think of! They also gave us (the bride and groom) tons of food to take home because we didn't have a chance to eat, and all the food was delicious! The staff: Wow wow wow! A special shout out to my bridal assistant Emilie and Justin were both so so so so so amazing & The Maitre D Lucas . They kept us on schedule and when we were going past schedule Justin would gently move us forward. Emilie was truly incredible, like she is an angel, truly. She has such a calm and cool vibe while also being so attentive, professional and friendly. She helped me with my dress, created a last minute veil for me, helped with my dress and bouquet. Her and Justin made sure I had everything I needed at all times. All of their staff are so professional, kind, efficient and made the experience truly wonderful. This review has been way overdue.. My husband and I had our wedding at Sand Castle in Oct. Sand Castle was the first venue I visited. I met with Loula, Director of Sales & Marketing. She gave my sister and I a tour and discuss the different menu packages. I love that Sand Castle has a gazebo(that's a MUST for me) and how spacious the outdoor and reception area is. My husband and i come from an asian culture so the wedding date is very important to our family. The original date unfortunately did not work for us and Loula was so understanding and was able to reschedule an event that landed on the date that we wanted. We were a bit hesitant at first about having a Fall wedding because we were afraid of it being to cold to have an outdoor ceremony but EVERYTHING worked out great. The weather was BEAUTIFUL and the temps were in the 70s. It's been a little over 2 months now and everybody still talks about our wedding and how smoothly everything went. All the staffs at Sand Castle were so attentive and friendly to me, my husband and our 200+ guests. The food was GREAT ! Service was GREAT ! All of our guests left full which was VERY important to my husband and I. My only big complaint I really have is that my custom cake topper did not make it onto the cake after i reminded the staff about it.. The cake was suppose to be white and pink but the cake received was all white. There were other minor things, like the restrooms are located on the 2nd floor (right next to the bridal suite), meanwhile the reception is on the 1st floor... but that's really about it. I highly recommend Sand Castle and would look forward to attend a wedding at Sand Castle. read more

I'd give it zero if I could. We had an appointment to see Loula for a tour with our daughter and her fiancée for a possible wedding reservation tonight. When we spoke last week, we said we were looking for 150 on a Friday night. She said not a problem, they wanted to fill reservations and would work with us. One of the first things she said was, 150 isn't worth it to us that open our doors. I'm not sure what else she said the next half hour, because I was done listening at that point. We took the tour, it's old, poorly decorated , and not a place to have a wedding. It's too bad, because the layout is great if I didn't feel like I was at Excalibur in Vegas before a renovation. It's a few months now since my daughters wedding in July but the day will live on forever as being one of the most memorable. From the moment we entered, the service, the food, the ambiance, the planning, the cleanliness, the service again because it was outstanding. I can't say enough about how wonderful her wedding was. Hmmm this venue is noice. Its surprisingly easy to drive to once your on the Belt Parkway, didn't take more than 25 minutes from Brooklyn. Inside is lavish...you get notes of a typical modern event space, but the coat of arms, swords, shields and medieval knight body armor throughout made me feel like I was visiting King Arthur's Court (like a castle...). My friends wedding ceremony took place on a nice outdoor veranda. The cocktail hour was held in a huge room with a giant ship in the middle. The hors d'oeuvres were good but not mind blowing. We had our wedding here last night and we've got nothing but amazing feedback from our guests! The service and food was just top notch, nothing more I can ask for. The cocktail hour had sooo much food! They also helped with setting up and making sure I just needed to focus on being the bride to the day. Now I just can't wait to come back as a guest!! After going to several venues in NYC and Long Island, my (now) husband and I settled on the Sand Castle for our wedding and had an amazing time. I was dubious at first and to be honest, it wasn't my first choice because I wasn't entirely in love with the whole castle theme (the ballroom kinda of reminded me of Medieval Times, in a bad way) but overall the venue offered everything we wanted. We got a great deal for a cocktail hour, full reception including full dessert buffet brought out in a display of carts and the cake and centerpieces were also included! We made full use of every part of the venue from the garden outside for pictures, the veranda for our ceremony and the best part is that you have the venue all to yourself and don't have to feel un-special by seeing another bride on your own wedding day like you do at some other venues. The only reasons I held off on the last star was that my husband lost some of his items that were in the grooms' room and were nowhere to be found (luckily nothing valuable) and the honeymoon trip that was included in our package we ended up never using because the flights to their resort in the Greek Islands were just way too expensive. This venue is ridiculous. I accompanied my girlfriend to her friend's wedding. The entire wedding was held on the premises, from the ceremony to the reception. The ceremony was held outside in the garden area. The guest list was huge and it was standing room only for the lovely ceremony. The grounds are perfectly manicured and obviously well-kept. After the ceremony, we headed upstairs to the cocktail hour which was held, mostly, in a huge room with tables, bars, carving stations and self-serve stations located all around. Passed hors d'oeuvres floated across the room and found their way to my plate. Well prepared lamb chops, bruschetta and shrimp, to name a few. They have a huge boat display in the middle of the room which was wonderfully adorned with the freshest oysters, clams, shrimp cocktail and ceviche. The couple, who are of African and Caribbean descent, had a live steel drum player and great music while we ate and dined. One really cool feature that this venue offers shocked the heck out of us when the lights came down and the strobes started; another bar, aglow with flashing lights began it's descent from the ceiling, manned by a quite talented, juggling gentleman, tending bar. It was remarkable. The one downside is that the restrooms were so far from each room were in. We had to go up or down a lot of steps to get to the restrooms. In my opinion, there weren't enough for the amount of people in attendance. On the upside of that, the bathroom attendants were well prepared and stocked with everything a girl might need to freshen up during the duration of the event. We drank and socialized and were ushered downstairs for the reception, into a most grand ballroom. The decor was lovely, with ethereal draped ceilings and columns, throughout. The new couple made their grand entrance from a secret wall that made a 180 degree turn, with their names in lights behind them. The ballroom also has flat screens on the walls so that everyone is afforded a view of the action. After more drinks, dancing and cake, the viennese tables were paraded into the center of the room with huge displays of desserts, a chocolate fountain and so many other goodies. This was a great wedding at a wonderful venue. The staff were all attentive, save for a few bartenders, who seemed like they may have been sampling some drinks, themselves. My wife and I had our wedding here on 2/28/16 and we could not have asked for more. The day was perfect, the venue was perfect and the food was amazing. But before we continue on with the wedding day. I'll bring you back to when my fianceé and I were still venue shopping. To be honest, Sand Castle was not on our radar. We went to several different locations and we were okay with some, and straight up no with others. Sand Castle has always lingered. One day I just told my fianceé that we should check it out just to do our due diligence. I am glad we did. I sent an email over and received a prompt response from Loula. We called and arranged a visit. Once we got to the venue, we were greeted at the door and Jamie did the rest. Jamie was attentive and professional. Unlike the other sales personnel that we had been dealing with at other venues. Jamie sold us the idea of holding our wedding at Sand Castle. She showed us around and gave us a vision to help us imagine how things would be. We were impressed. She even had a Chinese calendar for the prosperous days for a wedding. And when it came down to business, she helped us out a lot. We couldn't pass it up. Once we got the venue, it was a sigh of relief. Fast forward months later, we had our first meeting with Mohamed. We can tell, he's experienced. The way he was efficient and went through the entire long list of things we had to go through in a short amount of time. It was amazing. Fast forward another few months to the wedding day. When things are most hectic, the staff at Sand Castle relieved a lot of the excess stress. The bridal attendants, the maitre d's were all one step ahead of us. It felt like they anticipated what we needed. It was was much appreciated. The food. We chose the Imperial Menu as it was a no brainer. The martini bar, the viennese hour along with many other foods. We did not want any of our guests to say they went home hungry. Matter of fact, from what I've heard, all the guests said they ended up really full and complimented the food. Too bad, as the bride and groom, we don't really get to eat much :(. The staff however, did make sure we get to taste all of it. They packed us so much food, we asked our friends to come empty our fridge the next day. At the end of the night, we got a little surprise. Mohamed offered to have their car take us home. My wife and I thought it would be a regular car service. I didn't think they would actually take us home in their Rolls Royce. Sand Castle really made our wedding day special and we loved the entire experience. Thank you Sand Castle, you guys are the best! read more

My sister had her wedding here. There were a couple of things that impressed me a couple of things that did not. After attending her wedding here when it came time for my husband and I to plan our wedding we didn't really want to have it here because we thought it was just okay. The place was definitely pretty as for decor it was near the top. It was also standard pretty though, it was beautiful but besides the fake sand castle decor on the outside of the building nothing really stood out inside to make it uniquely beautiful. The food was okay, the dessert was excellent. My sister had a Viennese hour, when it came time for dessert it was quite a show. The staff bought out cart after cart after cart after cart of dessert options. There was everything you could think of there. Everything I tried for the dessert was pretty amazing. The one thing I have to gripe about is that they were very stingy with the coffee and I could not understand it. My reviews are partially biased when it comes to coffee and if I am not pleased with the coffee being served I'm not happy with the place all that much. I just didn't understand why they couldn't bring coffee when I asked for some at dinner and why two waiters had to tell me I needed to wait for coffee until dessert was served. It wasn't like they were serving gourmet coffee it was standard passable event coffee. By the time the Viennese hour came and some poor guy was serving up espressos I almost stole someone else's espresso until they caught me. Came to my friend's wedding here. They had a nice outdoor ceremony and indoor cocktails/reception, food is fine too. They do take the food away pretty quickly so eat fast! The dessert buffet is amazing! so many choices to try. Love how they have the stage set up in the front. We all had a great time that day. read more

My friend is supposed to have their wedding here this year but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they will need to reschedule. Sand Castle is the only vendor that are not flexible to work with their clients to reschedule their wedding date to another time in the future. They are charging clients additional fee just to move it to another date knowing that the couple does not have a choice since they are holding their deposits. read more

Venue is very very deceiving from the outside. I lived in NHP my whole life and never knew about this place. The cocktail hour room was amazing, very spacious and beautiful. The grounds where the ceremony took place was perfect, again never would have known this was like this from the outside. The reception room was very elegant. The staff was amazing, they actually took drink orders at the tables. Food was great at both cocktail hour and reception. Service was top notch. 5 hour wedding went by so quick.. I would highly recommend this place.. best wedding I ever went too by far.. can't say enough good things about it.. very impressive.. read more

Just celebrated my sisters wedding on 08/05/18. I normally never write reviews but i had to After the amazing experience we had. Everything from the staff, the food, the service was the best i have ever seen. I honestly cant say enough great thing about Mohamed, Loula and the rest of the staff . I felt as if i was part of the royal wedding lol. Our guests are still calling and thanking us, Raving about how great the food was and how beautiful everything was.
