Stopped shortly before the posted closing time and was told to come on in. The owner Jim brought us to the cooler case of beers and explained the different beers for us. We decided on a 6 pack of Woody's after his recommendation as we like a light beer. Then we checked out the tap room and Jim gave us a brief rundown of the buildings history and how long Sand Creek Brewing has been in they building (2005 I believe!) I love old buildings with neat history and was happy to hear the story from one of the owners. We brought our beer back to our campsite and OMG it is so good and just what we wanted!! If you're ever in the area stop by and have them explain the different beers and ask about the building ;) read more

The brewery is a unique old brick building with a couple large rooms that look like they were put up in haste for excess seating when they are not used for brewing. There is also an intimate room with the bar and some basic seating outside with a peaceful view. Most of the people were in the intimate bar room laughing and having a good time. It was a boisterous atmosphere, one where everyone seemed friendly. I picked out a flight of beers for my wife and I to enjoy outside. The beers were decent quality. The flight was a great value so we were able to pick out a bunch to sample. One funny quirk about the place was that they seemed to have a sign and posters of the beer awards they won many years ago. I was quite excited to try them out but they were so old that some of the beers weren't even on tap. I can't blame them though because if I had a brewery with award winning beers I would stamp that poster to the wall until I won another. read more

I better start out by saying I was sober driver, so I didn't get to sample the beers boohooo..... Maybe I would give them more stars if I did. My party all seemed to like the beer here. They did 2 flights, so I'm sure they tried all the beers. I believe the was a cranberry one they didn't care for. There are a few rooms to hang out it. Free popcorn and free Donkey Kong! Fast service, clean brewery. Pretty sure I saw a dart board. Again, didn't get to try the beer, but next time!! read more

I took the Sand Creek Brewery tour and was thoroughly impressed with the knowledgeable staff and fantastic craft beers. The building is from the 1850's and has a long and storied past. We did a tasting of all the beers on tap for a mere $5. You're not finding a better deal anywhere else. My favorite is Oscar's Chocolate Oatmeal Stout (It won a World Beer Cup Gold award in 2000), but was also impressed with their Hard Lemonade which is really refreshing on a summer day. Also they occasionally have live music right in the brewery on Fridays. I would highly suggest anyone heading through the area to stop at this historic brewery and having a cold one in the tasting room. read more

This Brewery tasting room was top 5 I have ever been to, Jared made it very fun and he had tons of info to help us decide what to drink. We did mix the blackberry lemonade beer and October fest beer per his suggestion, wow was it good, the October fest beer is used to cut down the sweetness to your liking. read more

Made our first trip to SCB and it will not be our last. Great little tap room with some offerings not available in stores. I particularly loved their Blackberry Hard Lemonade, VERY disappointed that it's not out in a bigger market other that local to Black River Falls. Took the tour on Friday, some very interesting history to the building that they are in. Hope to visit them again soon! read more

The brewery tour isn't all that exciting but is very interesting and full of history. The inside is decorated to showcase the history of the brewery. The bar area is rather small but does the job. Now for the important part, the beer. AMAZING! I recommend the Pomegranate! Very tasty and delicious! Definitely stop in and check them it out! read more

My fiance and I were visiting the area as a weekend getaway from the city. When we first walked in here, we were just going to get a few drinks and sit outside with our dog. The staff was extremely friendly and said that he was welcome inside as long as he was nice. Which turned into everyone in the place feeding him popcorn (much to his excitement) The beers here were delicious, and a great find. They definitely had my favorite oktoberfest of the season. We ended up doing some tasters, and a couple full size, then bought a growler to take back to our cabin. I'm not sure when the next time we will be up here, but we will definitely come back anytime we're in the area! read more

I stopped by on Saturday afternoon with some friends and was super impressed by the tap room (we didn't go on a tour). They had $3 pints and a 9 beer sampling flight for $5, what a steal! The building is old and very unique, the beer is very good (my personal favorite was the Oscar's Oatmeal Stout!) Give it a try, the tap room is open Fridays after 3:00 and Saturday during certain months from 12-5. read more

Loved this brewery! Small and charming with great brews including hard lemonades which are fantastic! We happened to go the weekend of Oktoberfest which made for a fun time! My husband loves a hoppy beer so he enjoyed their Wild Ride. My favorite was the Cranberry Hard Lemonade. Definitely check it out! read more
