The food was really good! The burnt ends were well cooked and the brisket sandwich wasn't fatty like I normally see. Even the tater tots were delicious. I tried the pickle beer... I've tried MANY pickle beers and have always LOVED them. This one was NOT good, it tasted sweet and you couldn't taste dill at all. The pickle beer though is not one brewed at Northwoods. We went while it was cold out but I bet in nicer weather the outdoor patio would be fun. The swing table adds a nice touch. read more

We purchased a Pizza Deal through WI Proud and this Brewpub was part of it so we took a trip to Osseo to check it out. First of all the pizza coupons are for a 12 inch pizza which they do have a 12 inch gluten free but never really offered that as a option only offered the 10 Inch for the pizza deal, but they do have a 14 inch on the menu. Disappointed in the pizza the sauce tasted funky taste and didn't care for the crust. We tried a few of the beers a raspberry sour which I drink sours and that was not a sour to me, very bland and a lager which also had no flavor. The only part about this place that we liked was the building it was great a really cool place. We like to check out different places to take our friends to but this place is a no, we won't be back for Pizza and beer. read more

Very unprofessional. We came in on July 7th with a nice group of family and friends and were treated like we were shit. Our friends said they were treated this poorly about a week or two ago when they were in here by the same bartender. Your bartender does not need to be in customer service. She should not be waiting on people. She does not like people. When you have 12 people all agreeing and saying the same thing, that is a huge sign. Also, when you have a bunch of beers that you would like people to try, you should offer flights so people can sample them, and know what they like, and would like to order. That is just a friendly suggestion. your bartender didn't even offer us to sample a beer before we ordered a glass. That is not cool for a brewery. read more

I missed this place when it was in Eau Claire but it's definitely worth the trip. Bartenders are absolutely wonderful humans, fast efficient kind. Cheese curds are absolutely unbelievable you have to try, the atmosphere is gorgeous it's definitely worth the trip from wherever you are. I'm not a huge beer person but their Ripplin raspberry wheat has me hooked. It was busy so I didn't get the bartenders names but a good shout out to everyone of you that worked Evenings on August 5. We have visited a few times while in the area and each time we try something different on the menu. During our last visit our group tried the Smokehouse Smothered Tots, Stuffed Portabella and the BellyBuster! All were fantastic and flavorful!! A newer place and something this area needed badly. The people were great and it's a very cool venue. I tried two different brisket sandwiches and a few appetizers. The smoke on the brisket was a little campfire-y. I'm curious what they have in the smokers. The cheese curds were solid, jalapeño poppers were charred really nicely and the portions were reasonable. They were missing several beers from their menu and the display above the bar, which I assume is the list of what is actually available, was really disorganized and said nothing about the beer, so you had to reference the menu to read about them. I opted for the red ale eventually, which I wasn't crazy about but that's not necessarily a fair assessment as I'm not much on red ale, I was just trying to order something that was on tap that wasn't of the Bavarian/Belgian persuasion. All that to say, someone if s working hard to make beer and they've invested a lot in a brewing facility. That end user experience could use that last 10%. Bartenders were really helpful. read more

We were able to eat outside on a balmy Friday evening, May 13. Service was fairly quick even though they were busy. Two of our group enjoyed their macaroni and cheese burgers. The fish fry was good, and the fries were great. The pulled pork sandwich with creamy slaw was excellent! So were the tater tots! I was the designated driver so didn't indulge in alcoholic beverages, but the others in the group were offered samples when choosing what to drink. There were no complaints about the beers and no beer was left in the glasses. The table and grounds were clean, and what I saw I'd the indoor dining area was clean. The restaurant is located inside an old condensed milk factory, which makes for interesting decor. We'll stop again when we're in the area. read more

The food is good but it comes out fairly slow so, it's not a great place for a quick bite otherwise the service is great I would highly recommend it as a place for a few drinks while you hang out a while. Save your money!! This place is ridiculously expensive. $15 burgers, $8 beers, plan on spending a lot of money if you go there. Now the food! Every order was wrong burgers over cooked and served on styrofoam! I guess they don't care about the environment at all. Wow! The food was amazing! We both got a Stout burger and everything about it was perfect, from the croissant bun to the hot and delicious BBQ sauce. They even nailed the medium rare. The fries were great but my date had the hand cut potato chips and they were fantastic. The buying at the bar service was a bit slow and I love beer, but I did not love their beer. Peanut butter Stout was weird, some were sour and it seemed that in their desperation to be different the beers were just a little too odd. After trying 8 different beers we settled on Red Cedar Red Ale. We'll come again even if only for the food. read more

Not the best service we've had here. They were busy but 45 minutes to get our food?? You have to order at the bar and the waitresses bring it to you. They look for your number but walk around aimlessly. The pulled chicken was good the baked fish not Not my favorite visit today. They were busy and not enough bartenders as usual. Not the greatest experience. 4 of us stopped here on a recent trip down to Madison and were looking for some lunch and a couple beers. The food was good, the beer wasn't. My buddy ordered an IPA that looked like dirty bath water, and tasted like it too. Even seasoned beer drinkers couldn't finish it. The stout I had was a bit better but only average. All of us enjoyed the food though. The Chicken Bacon Wrap I ordered was the only thing that saved this stop from being a total disaster. Skip the beer and just come here to eat. read more

My wife and I stopped in here on our way home from a fun weekend getaway up north. We got an opportunity to meet Eddie the head Brew Master. What a cool down to earth guy! Tried several of their craft beers they offered on tap by sampling flights. Over 30 some beers to choose from. The place is huge, newer cabin feel to it, very clean, very friendly staff, very knowledgeable staff and best of all tons of craft beer. We sat at the bar and enjoyed conversation amongst the local patrons. We decided to try an appetizer even though we had previously eaten. I highly recommend the stuffed mushroom. This place is incredible and it is a behemoth of a bar for the area. The food is fantastic and the beer selection is mighty fine. I had the mac n' cheese burger, which was so good. The interior has a somewhat hipster vibe, but with your average joe customers. The pool table was really nice and free! Definitely worth checking out. read more

Beautiful building and loved the decor. Unfortunately when we went the bartender said most of their beers were out because they were in between tappings. We ordered the flight so we were able to try six beers. Most were honey flavored but they didn't have anything fantastic. I tend to lean towards IPAs and sours but they didn't have any at the time. We ordered the pretzel, which should come with beer cheese but they were out at the time, and the bbq Mac-n-cheese tots, which were delicious. Overall not a stop I'll be making again. read more

Visual esthetic is great, beer is good, service was okay, music is way too loud for being sober in mid day. The channel changed nearly 10 times, and hip hop does not play well to the Osseo crowd. I had the wings, which looked like they were cut off of a whole chicken. Sauce was minimal and the taste was bland. Would not order them again. Paid 12 bucks for the sandwich. (Fat Tuesday). It was completely average. I expected a lot for for 12 bucks.

Northwoods is a must stop if you are in the Osseo region. Very surprised by how large and open the brewery is. Awesome to see all the four wheelers parked out front, gives it a local feel. Burger and fries were really filling. Also tried the beer sampler, floor manager even let us try the jalapeño flavored brew, had a really unique taste. Seems like the move from Eau Claire is working out well! read more

Wow wow wow What a great surprise as we were driving home from the Twin Cities to central Illinois. We used yelp to find a place to eat and saw Northwoods. There is not enough space here to explain our delight - the staff was so super friendly, the beer amazing and the food was delicious. But then add the location and the decor - they didn't miss a beat! Such a relaxing and welcoming space - I wish I lived here so I could enjoy every weekend ! read more

If you are a beer enthusiast, check this place out. If beer does not interest you, you might find some food you want. They have a brewery on-site that you can check out after you order. Other options are a game of pool or darts. As for dining, it's peaceful eating outside on the patio/deck. For us, there was a longer-than-expected wait for our food: 30 minutes after ordering. It didn't seem that busy--there were way more empty tables than occupied. We ordered a BLT wrap, burgers, and a salad. BLT: awesome amount of lettuce, bacon and tomatoes swimming in mayo--need more tomatoes and much less mayo! Burgers: tasted great!! Power Salad: if I would have said "no cheese" when I ordered, I would have liked it a lot more (I don't like cheese), and it would have been great if customers got some options for dressing (you only get Blue Cheese with this salad). Sides: chips and fries--both gross!!! Food was much more expensive than we were expecting as well. $9-12 for burger and fries/chips. Another concern for improvement: during our visit, there were a few families with children, yet there was no "lighter" or "kid" options on the menu. Bottom line: we most likely will not be returning, but if we do it will be to try the pizza. read more

Super friendly and hospitable bar tender full of knowledge about the beer, eager to share samples to suit your palette, super nice. The black n blue burger, add bacon, delicious. Tell your guilty conscious that may provoke you to also order something healthy to get over itself, and avoid the sub-par beet salad and seasoned pulled chicken. This place has a great atmosphere to hang out. All north woods bar and restaurant but with most excellent selection of beers. Four of us enjoyed good service - ie you order at the bar and the server brings out the food. The fish sandwich and Ruben sandwich were both very tasty. Two of us spilt a pizza. The whole wheat crush was nice and thin and toppings flavorful- seemed a bit dry though - maybe a bit more sauce would have helped. This was our second trip to osseo Northwoods and we'll be back for sure read more

The wife and I stopped for lunch around 2:00. Not to many people eating at that time, maybe 8. We ordered and paid at bar and got drinks and sat down. Waited over 1/2 hour with no one checking on us before I decided to check on meal. The ordered was never placed. We asked for money back and left. Our first trip there was an excellent experience!! Despite other reviews of slow service we thought we'd give it a try. Had the Mac n cheese burger - it was ok not as wonderful as people say. The beer we had was all good!! The bartender we had the first time was so friendly and knowledgeable. Went there for a second time and poo what a horrible experience! Sat down at the bar with our 20 somethings in tow. Bartender - young and squeaky -annoyingly asked what I would like and if I knew anything about the beers I knew the kind of beer I wanted so I told her - she asked me if I was sure about that. She did the same to my husband - why would u question the customer? The beer was "off" this time - not as good. The Walters seemed to be flat and my husband didn't finish it. The food was almoston point and everything was good. Except the French dip - best thing was the bread. Meat reminded me of Arby's fried pickles meh - way better at the pickle factory in Pepin! I'd get rid of the 12 year old bartender - she was awful. Gave it one more shot. Screwed the pooch again. Don't think we'll be stopping anytime soon ... only ones in the bar.
