I made an appointment for Friday at 3pm to have 3 documents notarized. Although Karen arrived late, she did text me to tell me she was on the way. Overall, she was about 20 minutes late. She was professional and completed the task very quickly. I already had all the documents completed beforehand. Then she told me the cost...$150.00 for 3 documents and mobile service. The quotes I received from other companies were in the range from $45-$75. So this was the range I was expecting. This was more than 2x more than the average cost. My bad for not checking previously. I just feel the value/cost was not there, thus the 2 stars. read more

Why would you drive somewhere to get your documents notarized? At 11:00am I called Sand Dollar Mobile Notary and asked when they could come to my workplace and help me with a document. Scheduled an appointment for 2:45. I walked outside at 2:41 and Antoinette was ready and waiting for me. It's a small thing, but with a demanding job and little time, her prompt arrival was incredibly appreciated. She also was very professional in her appearance and demeanor, while still being bright, friendly and helpful. I work in a secure facility and couldn't bring her inside to do the signing. Not to worry! She had a small fold-out table and we finished everything outside in less than 15 minutes, desert wind be darned. My father was in the hospital with a major stroke. I drove out from san diego with very little money to try and handle his affairs. I needed one document notarized to access his birth certificate, and also a durable power of attorney. As my father was incapacitated, a mobile notary was the only option. I googled moble notaries. Sand Dollar was the first one I called. It was 7:20 pm, so I was doubtful someone would answer. To my surprise, I was answered by a pleasant voice (The Owner). I made an appointment for the following day. She arrived promptly, with the neccessary documents. She was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, thorough and quick! She was a lifesaver! I needed to get an I-9 form notarized and and could not find anyone to do it quickly. My banks were booked out for at least 2 to 3 days, my credit union would not even try to do it, UPS would not does not do those forms anymore, and FedEx does not have a notary anymore.
