She stuck to our budget and helped us pick the best Sandals resort for our style, since there are so many to choose from. She made sure that we had all the travel documents we needed, kept us up to date on Covid entry requirements, and she sent us a travel tips sheet that spelled out exactly what to expect when traveling to a sandals resort. On our return trip, we had a flight get cancelled on a Sunday at 7pm, so I called the Alpha World Travel office number to get some help in getting a flight rebooked. Lynn was the one who helped us out of this pinch, and she went above and beyond, she got us in contact with an airline booking agent in minutes, and she had a rental car booked for us when we landed in Charlotte and had to drive back to Raleigh. It's a small house where you have to ring the doorbell to so the one employee knows to let you in, and then it's a tour on demand as it's not a high traffic site. The tour covers the history of the people who owned the house, the war and making the city a major port for goods, and how it was used by General Grant. There is a great map of the battlefield and some highly realistic and creepy mannequins to better illustrate the site. It's free, no gift shop, but an enthusiastic and informative tour guide. It's also got a nice view of the water.
