The experience itself was fun since I haven't done it before but one person from our party was having trouble finding parking and they almost gave up our spot so quick when it's hard to even find the place (the entrance is in the parking garage). Some of the sensors fell off towards the end and it understandable since everyone is moving so much with them on but they should really tighten them up or check it out fully before giving everyone their sensors and some people won't have a bad experience. If I could give this place a negative 1 I would. My family and I went on 1/3. We had a 8:00 appointment and two people of our party ran 5 mins behind. So we ended up booking the 9:30 experience. We didn't start at 9:30 it was more like 10pm because we had to wait on players before us to get done with equipment. No biggie. We got into the area to play our game and them one of the trackers falls off of my brothers gun. That stoped our game. We were on pause for at least 20 min. I commend Darius because he tried everything to get the game back up and running but it just wouldn't work. We were able to make our video but we couldn't actually finish the game. We only cleared 2 boards. We spoke with the manager and he said he could let us play an extra 10 min or we could come back tomorrow and play a whole game for free instead of getting a refund. We agreed. Here's where it gets nasty We came back the next day for our 7:45 appointment. 4 of us were there at 7:30 but our other 2 got there at 7:54. We had already signed in at 7:30 but Jaylah stated there was a 5 minute grace period when the website clearly says 10 mins. She stated that she couldn't put us into another game because it would zero us out and only give us 5 min of playing time. After it literally took us 30 min to get hooked up and situated yesterday. We were then told there were no more times available. We asked for a refund. She stated that it wasn't at her discretion to give a refund it would be up to her manager and "when he's off , he's off". She said that we would have to call back the next day to speak with a manager about getting a refund. Now who wants just $300 in the wind? That's crazy. Jaylah is definitely bad for business. She kept saying that it wasn't her fault because it happened yesterday. My whole issue is it is the establishment fault and no one wanted to take accountability because they weren't there yesterday. After my brother got upset and said that he was going to just strap the equipment on himself security was calls and told that someone said "They were going to go get a strap". So now we have multiple security guards in the venue asking if we said we were going to go get a strap aka gun. I mean who even talks like that. Even after everything. Jaylah was no help and kept saying that she was going to lunch and asking us to leave the premises. At this point I would like to speak to someone from corporate because the whole ordeal was very traumatizing. If policies are put in place they should be followed. I own two businesses myself and I'm not saying the customer is always right but you definitely have to make it right for customers that aren't at fault. Take accountability for your company as a whole. Once again I'll say Jaylah has horrible customer service skills. It was definitely since it isn't my fault I don't give a damn type of attitude. It's very disheartening on so many levels. Hopefully the situation can be handled and something can be done. If one of my employees treated someone his Jaylah did they would definitely be fired. During our experience there were so many issues! Everyone's headsets kept dying the game kept "going offline". As soon as you were starting to have fun, the game would stop! Our game was scheduled at 4:45, we got here at 4:53. Their website terms and conditions specifically says we have a 10minute grace period and the girl working named Jayla wouldn't allow us to proceed with our game telling us the grace period is only 5 minutes. We showed her the actual terms and conditions she still refused. When asked for a refund she refused and said they can only give gift certificates. Clearly in violation of their terms. My bestest and I had a blast! Everything felt so real, try not to wear a bun. I do not recommend the shot gun cause the way you have to re load is annoying. We decided to go for my sisters birthday yesterday and play Squid games. This was all of our first time at Sandbox, I'm giving my experience 2 stars cause the staff was actually cool and honest but didn't really do anything when they seen that our experience wasn't good. It had potential to be a lot of fun. The entire time we played 3 of us kept going offline especially me. The guy who was over our room had to continuously keep pausing our game to come take our headsets off to get us back online. That was super frustrating and no fun at all. At the end he even said he thinks it must be a dead spot in that room or something cause that was crazy how much we kept going offline. For the amount of money we paid we didn't get to enjoy the experience. read more

My partner took me for my birthday and when we got there, we had to join 4 other people in a party for the same game in one room. Again, it was MY BIRTHDAY so we told the game host Mike. A few minutes after we got our gear on, Mike said to everyone "I hear its someone's birthday?"I shouted "mine" and another lady shouted that it was her birthday too but then she clarified that her birthday was tomorrow. He literally walked to her and gave her the first choice on character, the team name and logged her info for the birthday shout out video. Saying that he can only log one person at a time for the birthday experience. I told him, it was my birthday and we paid for the birthday experience but he ignored me and made the birthday shout out video go to her. My partner pulled him to the side to let him know it was my birthday but he ignored him again. We played but my gear kept disconnecting and the visual was blurry 60% of time. At the end, we had to watch the birthday celebration video but it was a slap in my face so I left early. They need to train their employees on customer service... never coming here again! read more

I booked this as a date for my partner and I . It was only 2 of us and we were put with another group of 2. It was really fun and something I never experienced before. I am all for on time arrival, but if communication was given then why can't it be honored? Me and my family chose this place to celebrate ONE of THREE religious holidays (Eid) and let me say it was the biggest let down. If I wanted to waste almost 500$ then I would say go to "Beat da bomb" at least I could still enjoy the activity I paid for. My family and I drove 2 hours to visit this location since it was a special day for us, we called in advance to say we would be 5 min late. We got confirmation that it was okay, upon arrival we got turned down. My family and I made eye contact with the rep while we were walking in (we technically arrived a minute late) just to be left standing around for an additional 5 minutes to be acknowledged....and was told my reservation was canceled. I didn't receive the cancellation notice until 2 minutes AFTER they told me it was canceled. Even Tyler the manager was useless in assisting us. My sister spoke to another group of players (waiting around) only to be informed they were waiting for an hour, and hadn't even signed waivers yet. Tyler was not trying to give us a refund or allow us to play. It took several back and forth and yet no resolution. It ruined the children's day and I will be disputing it with my bank since y'all technically scammed us. Smh read more

This place has the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. I arrived as a walk-in about 3pm and there was no open slots was available. The host was able to set my party up with a room at 6pm where she took our number to send us a reminder for our time slot. We arrived back at Sandbox at 6:09pm where we was denied entry. There was an associate there by the name of KJ who was extremely rude and was unwilling to help and standoffish. When working in customer service it's important to apply support to your customers -- both before and after they buy and use your products or services -- that helps them have an easy and enjoyable experience with you. Racial profile spot here. I booked a reservation for 3 for my son 30th birthday for 6:15 pm on a Friday December 16. I arrived at 6 to check out the vibe and speak to a very young white kid. He was very receptive of me and spoke great to me explained the rules as I told him my son and his wife are one block away. He also said he would make sure they would be ok if they arrived after the grace period within reason. Mind you there is a parking app you must use that took me 6-8 mins to use because it gave an error the first time for some unknown reason. My son and his wife arrived at 6:20 (10 min grace period) my other son arrived at 6:32. Ok he was 7 mins after the grace period. There were several appointments to choose from as options even after my reservation time. I went over to Puttshack to have a drink while they told me they were being refused to play by the same little guy I spoke with. I left Puttshack to go find out what's going on. Of course when I came in I asked what room my sons and wife were in and the guy was like oh just peep in and another guy was like yeah don't go all the way in blah blah blah. My son called me to ask where I was I'm asking him where are you. I told them in Puttshack looking for you all. I then turned around and ask the little guy hey my sons told me you refused then play why is that. His eyes widened he was like oh they were late. I said really well I explained this earlier they were trying to park and how the system denied them at first blah blah blah and given this no refund policy spill. The entire party has to be here. Ok but nobody is in here and I went on line to book another time and it's allowing me several options to do so after my time frame so I'm not understanding. Long story short asked for manager black kid explained about customer service and make it right because I'm not the one or the two and what we not going to do is play with my $165! After seeing a lot of reviews about their manager Jaylah I would say it is such a shame. My family and I love this establishment and go quite frequently. On many occasions we have witnessed multiple grown adults yell, scream and curse at the upfront associates because they're the ones who are late. We have seen customers verbally assault the staff, try to intimidate them, pay them to get them in, and threaten them with violence. If anything it shows the toxic culture that Sandboxvr allows their employees to deal with. We were also present during the 1/3 altercation with fellow Yelper Danielle whom I remember had a brother who was a football player at Michigan. Her entire description of the night was false as her brother followed jaylah to the back to "speak" even though security asked them to leave the premises. Spoke with one working there (light skinned black girl with braids) & her attitude & customer service was awful. Our reservation was at 6:30 & arrived and spoke with a worker at 6:34. We would have been there on time but there is no signage anywhere. We were offered a gift card but if you all have a 5 min grace period it needs to be honored. Apparently they don't want to allow refunds because then, of course the value of the establishment will go down due to high volume refunds. That is definitely no one's problem! This was a much different experience than the first time I went in March. The equipment has changed and is more sophisticated , however everything else went downhill. I was aware of the strict grace period policy so we arrived early (7:50) for an 8:15 game. They were running behind in all games and after checking with the host/manager twice, we learned that a previous game was ending soon and we'd start shortly after 8:45. by 9pm we were finally putting on equipment and we were actually playing by 9:15 (an hour after our reservation time). Additionally there were issues with the sound (either being too low or receiving a lot of feedback) so we had to pause the game twice to get assistance. The game was fun and we finished 6 out of 8 of the games in "Squid Games". Our host was great and was doing the best he could (name started with a P) but this was disappointing. We were also late to our reservation at Putt Shack because we were so behind at Sandbox. Also the bathrooms were nasty, no tissue and it hadn't been cleaned. Hopefully they'll improve the wait times and be able to handle the large crowds. read more

I booked an appointment for this past Friday and unfortunately we were 2 mins passed the reservation time. Our time was 8pm and we arrived at 8:07. We had.no idea where the place was located, find parking at it was Friday evening in atlanta which we should have take into further consideration. When we walked in we were told our slots were cancelled and that we would get a gift certificate to make another reservation. No empathy, no come back we are sorry but youll enjoy the experience they were VERY DRY! No worries we left and i immediately tried to make another appointment later on in the evening. No spots were available. I woke up this morning and saw that a 230pm was available this afternoon (Saturday) and went to book it. The website would not let me book the session "ironically" within adding the $50 snack box!!!! I tried multiple times and even different days but the only way it would book was if you added the snack box. I finally got someone on the phone and she mentions that their was a "glitch" with the website and that all the sessions were booked for the weekend basically and that I was the 10th person to call!! Well if you know the website is not working and your a tech company why are you not on top of it. She was very dry, provided no solution and no I'm turned off from even wanting to deal with this company and go through the hassle. For $50 a person ($110 for 2). This is not a cheap endeavor but they run it as such. From the previous reviews I'm seeking seems as they poor employee experience and customer service is the norm. To bad. Looked like fun. read more
