So happy we chose Sandcastle! All our neighbors recommended for one so that a plus but we also did our due diligence and got bids from two others in town. Not only was sandcastle lower but the entire experience from design, to quote, to build, thru completion was all excellent. Highly recommend Greg. ;-) Would recommend over and over. tip: have a good idea of how you plan to use your pool and where the sun will be. pretend to "sit in your pool" to get a feel for what you want where. if you have no idea, let Greg design it and then go imagine it in your back yard. Beginning of the process was great! Steve in sales is excellent at the designs and the biggest asset. However once that sales process was done and the first check was paid, communication from the others fell off quickly. Getting answers was very difficult and I had to chase down people constantly for status. One delay after the other caused the pool to be completed in 6 months rather than the 3 months we were told. However, sub contractors were great and the quality of the pool at completion seems very good. The owner Brock promised to fix a serious cosmetic issue we have with stained pavers where they lost their original color and have some strange coating visible now. Brock promised to send a team out the following week to fix the issue but once the final check was cashed, we haven't heard from him for weeks and the issue still exists. Since we had our pool installed 3 years ago, this company is not the same as it was. Now that we didn't call last October 2023 to let them know our pool lights went out , the 3 year warranty was up in December. So now we have to pay to have the 2 lights replaced. Greg was our salesman and he did a great job. Now, I'm trying to get the lights replaced and the company is ignoring me. I'll keep on top of this matter and see what happens. Note to self, if something goes bad, call asap! Lesson learned and this is Havasu. read more

They did a very good job on our new pool. Started sooner than expected and it's been a year now since they finished. I've had pools done by others at different houses and sandcastle was for sure the best. No problems other than a spa light that was Pentair's problem not sandcastle. Steve was great and I can't complain at all about the quality. Our pool in havasu is 14x28. Not small plus an 8 man spa. Everything works fine. read more

I have to applaud Sandcastle for answering the phone 5 minutes after closing. I believe that was the single most important reason they got the business. As stated in recent review, maybe the business (trades) boom has kept businesses from returning calls etc... I don't really know? I first spoke to Steve. He was pleasant and professional enthusiastic and informative. We set an appointment and everything went very well and smooth. The turnaround time was approx 4.5 months. We were promised 3 months. Not the end of the world since we're not full time residents. Timing for appointments and sign offs had to be coordinated. The contract was for a spec pool, nothing extra or fancy, very straight forward. Steve was very helpful in picking the patterns and colors that would hold up in the desert climate. Here is where I would normally give a 5 star. A few things in relation to customer service and communication. We ordered specific items to be included in the build. Again nothing expensive or elaborate. We were reassured these items would be included. Shame on us for not looking at the fine print when we signed the contract. We took Steve's word for it that these specific items would be included. We would have gladly paid extra . Unfortunately the said items were not done as requested. One of them was completed after we pointed it out on a sign off after the re bar had been set. We don't really blame Steve or Sandcastle. I believe the company prides themselves in customer satisfaction. We think too many jobs and somehow we got lost in the mix and the little details got lost. We're still waiting on one last item to be completed that was overlooked. Pool, craftsmanship, matching existing pavers all excellent work. Yes , would still recommend this business. read more

Sitting in front of Sandcastle pools waiting for Salesman to come show us plans for pool we will build....he called today and ask us to meet him at 3 pm today we have been here for 45 minutes as we arrived early salesman is a no show and hasn't even bothered to call.... so home we will go now and try another pool company next week... ok so about 340 pm Mike the salesman called asking what happened to us..... I told him we were there so nice 230 tried both doors and they were locked and it was dark inside as far as we could tell? He said he was inside working the hole time we were there and his vehicle was parked in dirt on side of building? Now we are rescheduled for tomorrow at 130 this time in our home we will see what happens and I will update my review read more

WiSh you could give zero stars, because I would. I was in the market for a swimming pool for my new house in Havasu and after reading some of the other reviews I called Sandcastle. Being from out of town and still working, I was able to set up an appointment on a Saturday. So I drove out on a Friday night (5 hours) and was awake and ready for my 7:30 am meeting on Saturday. Waited until 8 and sent a text to Steve Reid who had made the appointment with me. No response. Called his cell and left a message at around 8:30, no response to that either. Called and left a message in the business line and it was finally returned on Tuesday by Steve, to which I told him I wanted to talk to the owner and not him. He said okay he would tell him. Today is Friday and no one has ever called me back. Needless to say, they will not be getting my business and I hope if you are reading this review you will think twice before you choose them as well. If they start out this way, one would have to wonder how the installation of the pool would go as well. Stay away from them! Maybe one day the owner will have the balls to call me and apologize for his rude staff. read more

We were warned about LHC pool contractors and their lack of professionalism. Sandcastle did not disappoint us. My wife and I made it a point to go to pool companies in person rather than make phone calls to talk about new pool for a house we are building. Sandcastle was one of the companies we went to in person, met the owner, they took our name and number and would be contacted by a salesperson. ..............Anyways...........of course no contact. We hired Sandcasle Pool to build our pool a couple years back. The finished product came out nice a few little blenders but nothing major. The problem we have really had is more to do with the warranty. We were told if we use Everclear pool cleaning service it would extend our warrantee to a five year warranty. So we followed procedure and have been using Everclear pool service which we are very happy with. When our spill pots were first delivered I noticed several hairline fractures in them but I was assured by Sandcastle that this was normal and he could show me a yard full of brand new spill pots that all had the same cracks. I figured he was the professional so I took his word. Then when they were installed they were placed several inches away from the pool waterline so they would pour directly onto the concrete deck and not into the swimming pool. Once again they assured me this is normal and they always add a piece of copper to the spillway to make it work properly. This seemed a little bit Mickey Mouse to me but again I went along with it because they are the professional.Ever since complete we have had a problem with the spill pots leaking onto our concrete deck. And now some of the cracks are leaking continuously on the concrete deck so we can no longer use this water feature. Other warranty issues we've had is a faulty vacuum cleaner that was provided by Sand Castle, a bad gauge on our filter system that was provided by Sandcastle. They could've prevented this bad review by simply taking the time to pick up the phone and answer a call or return a call when a message is left but they have chosen not to. We even ask Everclear to reach out to them which they said they would but never heard anything more. After several messages and several attempts over the past year with zero returned calls we've given up on Sandcasle Pools and their make-believe warranty and will just pay Everclear pool cleaners to fix these issues. read more

Our pool turned out beautiful but the customer service was not good. We were promised our pool would start on September 1, 2017. We came all the way down to Az from Seattle to be there. And we had put down a deposit to assure us we would be towards the top of the list of pools starting in september. After not seeing or hearing from them after 2 weeks we called them! Some lame excuse that someone was on vacation and things weren't getting done. Needless to say after excuse after excuse our pool didn't get finished until December! And it isn't yet. We paid them and they promised to have the hand rail in within 2 weeks and it still isn't. And no cover(which was promised) so we can't heat the pool! The pool was supposed to be done in 6 weeks. It is now going on 16 wks. read more

No supervision on job site thank god we have cameras so we could call office and let them know WRONG tile. Sand Castle pools was an absolute pleasure to work with. Unfortunately we are not full-time residence in Lake Havasu and have had a heck of a time getting a response from almost all trades in regards to doing work for us. Everyone was too busy or simply didn't take the time to respond. Working with Broc and with Sand Castle was like a breath of fresh air. They were responsive, thorough, professional and we could not be happier with our end result. They provided 3-D renderings of what our backyard could look like and the end result has surpassed every hope and expectation we had! We were not easy clients, we made numerous changes along the way and they accommodated each one without any delay. Where do I begin... Easily the worst experience with any professional service I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I would submit a negative 5 if I could. First we were told the job would take 12-14 weeks... try 6 months and that is only because I had to force their hand! The entire six months I was having to harass the salesman to give me updates about when things were getting done. Every time I was told something would get done, it didn't. I was given an uncountable amount of completion dates on various portions of the project to which ALL of them were not met. I was forced to drive to their office TWICE just to get someone to talk to about the completion of my project. The salesman never responded or always lied to me so I went to the owner... Brock. Brock seemed nice enough and made me feel like he was sorry I had been receiving terrible service and assured me that my project would be a priority. I went there a full month before my son had his 3rd birthday, which we wanted to have at our house. I was promised it would be done..... the salesman called me 2 days before the birthday to tell me that it wouldn't be done on time. I was furious. Then the salesman blamed it on ME. Saying I changed what I wanted so it made him delay his turf order. Unbelievable. I had to let sandcastle know about ALL of the mistakes and lack of quality on almost every step of the job since they came out to see my project a total of ZERO times. I texted Brock missing equipment pics, left materials for months, incomplete details in order for them to act on it. I was doing THEIR job. They subcontract every part of the job and have no clue when any part will get done since they don't control the contractors who do it. Salesman was the most unprofessional person I have ever had to communicate with. Please...Please do yourself a favor and use someone... anyone else to do your pool project. This company failed me so many times I felt compelled to leave a review. Just finished our pool and have a great experience with Sandcastle. We did our homework and had four LHC pool companies come out for ideas and prices. We liked Sandcastles ideas, price and personnel. After we got started my husband and I both agreed that we had made the right choice. All of the different work teams that came for the various parts of the job were knowledgeable, respectful and did good jobs. The office staff has been available and did their best to answer our questions. Mike, our job manager, has been on top of it all and taken time to make sure were informed and happy.
