Alan Sanders is the ultimate professional. He arrived ahead of time and had begun to do an informal evaluation before we even arrived. He was organized, thorough, and very receptive to any and all questions. As we checked different features in the house, he was sure to have us work the controls so we would be familiar with how they worked, e.g. solar shades on skylights and remote for gas jet fireplace. He was methodical in his room by room inspection and he checked every appliance, outlet, faucet and light. He looked at every wall, floor and ceiling for signs of trouble and checked every bit of infastructure in our basement. He offered possible reasons for why things were the way they were and offered suggestions on how we could personally investigate issues that may not be immediately explained during the inspection. He helped us date major things such as the furnace and central air conditioning unit and when there was a question, followed up several times to make sure we had the best and most current information on which to make a determination to buy. Alan also offered a list of items which would require care and maintenance in the short and then long term and suggested ways to prioritize future projects and optimize the work being done. Alan Sanders is highly experienced and professional, an absolute gem, and it really showed that he absolutely LOVES what he does and wants to share his knowledge! He's easy to communicate with (via text and email) both before and after your inspection and is very responsive. I followed along with him during the inspection itself, and it was a joy, an engaging and informative performance by a master. He explained to me different aspects of the home's foundation, roofing, moisture, insulation, plumbing, heating, and electrical systems in such a way that I could easily follow along and understand. He left me feeling like I /really/ understood the beautiful old home I purchased, how it was probably renovated over the years, what I needed to immediately fix, what I needed to address within a certain timeline, and what I needed to keep an eye on. Alan Sanders is Above & Beyond. On time, and fully engaged from the get go, even though we needed to mask up and maintain some distance. We did a walk around the house with Alan pointing to the positives as well as the negatives. To the attic to look for any negatives, while pointing out the construction techniques that were ahead of its day for this home. A comprehensive report, and a separate summary with action items makes it easy to plan for and budget the fixes over time. I recently called up for a home inspection. I really didn't give him much notice. Anyone else was booked up. Alan squeezes us in on the day that everyone could make it. Very thorough job he did my husband and I was very impressed. He checked every little thing there was to check. He even ran the bath filled it up to make sure all the jets in the bath worked properly. Very friendly man that answers all questions with a smile on his face. I highly recommend him. There was also a coupon on yelp that we bought which he honored. Very reasonable price as well. After inspection he had the report emailed to us within a couple hours. A couple days later he contacted us again to see if we needed anything explained from the report. I am very happy and will be going forward with the purchase of this new house thank you!!! read more

I'm so glad Alan was available to do my inspection! He was prompt and professional, and offered clear, precise and detailed communication in every aspect of the home inspection process. I like to understand details. I asked lots of questions. Alan patiently answered all my questions and never seemed to be in a hurry.
