Good food. Nice atmosphere. Gave it 3 Stars because I went there last week with a big group and it took a while to be served, only one waitress working, and when we did finally start to receive our food it wasn't all at once, food was coming out 2 meals at a time like 10 minutes apart. Seemed like they were overwhelmed with our large group and the other tables around us. Would go back. Just not with such a large group. But overall the food was good and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. read more

First of all, yes, go there. Second, go there. We were school supplies shopping, by Dickson, and wanted to grab lunch before heading to the Hartford Fair. As always, we asked Yelp what was good around the area, and Sanderson's Tabern was one of the best reviews, that was close by, and affordable. I called to ask if it was ok to bring a 5 year old child and they said of course, so, we headed there. The ride there was adorable, up and down hills, with beautiful houses. When we got there, we were warmly welcomed by the bartender Anthony, who promptly took our orders. Ordered beer on tap, that was surprisingly inexpensive, and my son and I had hamburgers, and my husband had the cheesteak, with sweet potato fries. My hamburger was the best hamburguer I ate in years, and I eat them very often. My husband was very pleased with the cheesesteak, and my son ate all of his meal, which NEVER happens. The place is amazingly clean, and we wish we found it a few days ago, so we could go at night and check it out when it's full of locals. Again, props to the bartender Anthony, who was friendly, and warm, and made our lunch even better! We will definitely come back next year on our vacation! read more

I don't like to try a place once and judge it so I tried the Sanderson Street Tavern and I do not really feel a need to go back. The first time I went it was when they first opened. I went with my husband and we were excited to try some wings. When you first step inside the place appears very nice. The bar is beautiful and there are high tables for smaller parties and larger ones in the back. It was busy, we walked around looking for a table. There was a small table but it only had one chair, the bar tender pulled another chair up to it and told us we could take the table. We sat down and he took our drink orders. We waited a while before we were brought a menu and then waited a while longer before we received our drinks. We waiting a very long time for someone to even take our order. But all of this waiting was nothing compared to what was to come. We sat and we sat and nothing. After about an hour our waitress came over and apologized and offered us a free drink. We only ordered wings and french fries, so it is not like we ordered something that would take forever. Needless to say we spend 3 hours waiting. We were in a tavern waiting for wings and french fries for 3 hours! It was ridiculous. I got wing bites, they were cold. My husband got wings, they were very small. I got the hot garlic Parmesan sauce, it wasn't hot. My husband got the dr.pepper bbq and he liked the sauce. The french fries were the best part. My husband has magnets on his car for his business and upon leaving we noticed someone had stolen one. We even drove around to see if it blew off, but honestly I cannot even peel the things off so I am sure that did not happen. Someone took them. We decided to give it another try and thought they were opening issues that they may have worked out. We also made sure his magnets were not on his car before we went. It was quieter this time. It was not a wing night. It took someone a bit longer than I would like to bring us menus, especially when it was not busy. So we got our menus, ordered, and did not wait very long for our food. I once again tried the wing bites as did my husband. They once again were cold. Overall, I am not impressed. Meanwhile our french fries were so hot you couldn't bite them. No one wants a cold meal. I got the classic burger and it was bigger than I expected and very good! Plus it was served with Middleswarth BBQ chips!!

Food was great. Please was clean. A little slow but we were the only customers at that time so it was understandable. Prices are great and dollar per dollar one of the best places I have been. read more

Sanderson st taverns service sucks so bad. Every time I go there I think it's going to be better and it's not. It takes forever to get a drink I literally waited over 20 min while I was eating wings. When I finally got a drink my food was cold go figure. The lady with the black hair is the worst of them all she can't even keep up with all the dirty drink glasses with 10 people in the bar. I went for wing night. Most places I've been to you can get quantities of 5 or 6 wings on a wing night to try different sauces. I was told 10 because it was busy. I looked around there was like 15 people in the place. Wings come out very rubbery. Someone who enjoys wings usually enjoys a little crisp but ok I'll deal with it. Sauce was mild it was a basic hot sauce. When I got to the center of the wing it was pink. Pink chicken is a no go for me. This happened with several of the wings, I didnt even finish the order of wings. I get it sometimes it happens but a guy from behind the bar asked me how the wings were. I told him honesty not that good the wings were a little pink. He immediately became really defensive saying no way I cooked them myself. I told him I was just offering some feedback since he asked. A few minutes went by he came back again comparing me to another customer saying his wings were fine and they were from the same batch which came out 20 minutes earlier than my order. These wings suck I've had better frozen wings from the grocery store. This guy also happened to be the owner. So if you're a wing lover go somewhere else. And hey if you like being told you're wrong about his wings go to this place. read more

Whenever I'm in town I visit this bar. The staff is always friendly. Food is always fresh and beer is cold. Michele knows how to make any drink you ask for and it always taste SPOT on. Last night there was a 2 piece band. Very good!! Just a nice kool place read more
