The driveway widening itself was done well, and we were pleased with that portion of the project. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the attention to detail, communication, and completion of the remaining work. Several items were left incomplete, and when we tried to discuss them with William, he would often promise to call us back or meet with us in person but repeatedly did not follow through. After we stopped payment on the final check, he became more responsive, but he still did not adequately answer some basic questions about the work. For example, two of our sprinkler heads were moved to accommodate the wider driveway. We were not told where they had been relocated. Several days later, William confirmed that the irrigation lines had been capped as agreed upon, but he could not show us where they had been buried. Another concern involved the drainage work around our sidewalk. William jackhammered the sidewalk to improve drainage, but the downspout running underneath the sidewalk was not replaced as we had agreed. Additionally, the crew used our garden-bed edging as a form for the concrete, which effectively ruined the edging. When I discussed these issues with William, he told me that he has plenty of money and doesn't care because he is retiring soon. Overall, portions of the work were done well. However, the incomplete details, lack of communication, and apparent lack of coordination between William and his subcontractors left us frustrated. At times, it felt as though corners were being cut rather than the project being completed as discussed. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Three Generations Concrete. The quality of some of the work was good, but the lack of follow-through and communication ultimately outweighed the positives for us.
