I've seen Dr. Nayak personally twice in the past year. She is perfectly fine at what she does and I can say that I'm always in and back home in under 60 minutes. (I live nearby, so that helps.) I never wait more than 15 minutes past my appointment time to see her and she is fast and efficient. I'd say in and out in under 2 minutes for simple scripts to 5 minutes for routine exams. I rate her at a 5. What I don't like is that when you call the number posted and no one answers after a set number of rings you are instantly connected to her personal answering service. This isn't made clear unfortunately until the call has connected. Most places if you call and there's no answer you either get a machine listing further directions for you to take or it just disconnects. But because it connects you to her service line then you have to deal with snarky reps who answer the phone and treat you like a bother and a moron because you've been connected to them and not by your own choice. After I explained to the operator that I did not call this line but was connected by the number for the office automatically, she still only repeated that they reopen tomorrow at 10:30a and this is an emergency line. She was completely unprofessional and cold. The thing is Dr. Nayak tells us that if we have any questions, concerns or need anything that we should not hesitate to call the office number to speak with her. I don't normally take her up on it but I needed to this time because of a pharmacy mishap. And the very first time that I call her line as a patient, I get connected to someone who very obviously is in the wrong field and does not know the first rule of customer service -- especially when working in the medical branch of customer service. This has left a bad taste in my mouth and while I am fully confident and comfortable being under Dr. Nayak's care, I can say that this experience with her answering service is definitely making me want to find a new doctor that is more easily reachable and has a kinder person answering their service line. read more

PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE. I honestly have no idea how or why she has such glowing reviews on here... she's honestly horrible, for a number of reasons. My experience there was borderline traumatic First off, I had to wait 1 hour for her to finally show up. No apologies for being late and making me wait or anything. The office is very run down, which is ok... except when you step to the back, there's absolutely no privacy. There's still other patients in the hall, and the assistant starts asking questions about my health out loud. Then you are lead to one room that actually has a door and looks like it's half storage half room for patients. Without a smock or anything, the assistant just tells you to take off your clothes and leave. She also walked in to me naked without knocking 2 mins after she had left. Absolutely no decency. Dr Nayak herself kept prying me about where I work, etc - and it smelled like she was trying to gauge how much money I make.. she used the sonogram machine and didn't even put plastic over the machine or any sort of cleaning. Red alarm immediately. I was told that I had to come back IN PERSON to receive my test results..... she doesn't do phone calls or email. And, as others have said in these reviews, even if you just come back to have your test results, she charges you. The place is cash only, and the receipts they give are these written ad-hoc receipts that do not comply with IRS protocol. So when I was working with my health insurance to get a reimbursement on my copay, I needed a more legitimate receipt. I could never reach Dr Nayak and had to talk to front desk instead. She told me Dr Nayak had refused to give me another receipt and I would need to come IN PERSON and make an appointment.... that's right.... make an appointment to get a legitimate receipt. Then don't even get me started with the front desk woman, who told me "under the table" that there's a health issue on my file and I'll need to see Nayak, that there was something concerning on my test results. I ended up going to another gynecologist and had them request the test results from Nayak. In the end, there was absolutely nothing wrong. when I called Natalia office again, the front desk woman lied and said she didn't know what I was talking about, that she never said anything was wrong read more

First and last time I see this OB-GYN (70-19 37th Ave, Jackson Heights location). I should've known better than to allow myself to be seen by someone solely because of its convenient location. This woman blocks her reviews on ZocDoc (no surprise) and the reviews found on other rating sites such as Health Grades are a complete false. Practically every rating indicates 5 stars and states "She's the go to GYN", creative much? Her practice is extremely outdated, staff appeared to be under pressure by her, I was provided with no psycho-education given the issues I presented with. Horrible experience. I was recommended by a friend to this doctor and I have done my fair share of research on her service. However, I was never able to meet up with this Dr. because she has quite a complicated setup with appointments. I will soon post what I've been through trying to get ahold of her. The people that work under her are very unprofessional, I have never felt more discriminated in my entire life which is why I had to write this review. It was the worst experience I've had with any doctor ever... I would never go back, I should have trusted my instincts and left when I walked in. I am still dealing with issues of the way she is trying to bill my insurance and her scams months after my appointment. In addition to her completely unprofessional behavior during my appointment, she tried to "sell" me services that I absolutely did not need or ask for. Being that this was a gynecological appointment, I would rather not leave many of the details of my appointment here, but would answer any questions that are asked if someone wants further info, as I would truly like to prevent others from going to her. I am also going to file complaints about her to the NYS Department of Health and the Medical Board. I personally believe she is a scam artist on top of being an awful doctor. (I also believe that most of her 5 star reviews are either fake or paid for, as there is no way she would have so many positive reviews. Don't waste your time with the CORONA office! I couldn't find them here on yelp in order to give them this review so I'm just going to leave it here hoping that somebody sees this over there and tries to fix the situation. First of all there is absolutely no sign indicating that there is a gynecologist office all you see is a Walgreens pharmacy and you keep walking around and around in circles then when you call them asking if they can direct you how to get into the office they act like you're an idiot for not being able to figure out that it's above the Walgreens but you have to walk to storefronts down to the entrance that isn't labeled that it's a gynecologist office and walking to go to the second floor of another clinic down the hallto then finally come to the waiting room for Dr. Nayak. So now that I was late to my appointment by trying to find this place I'm sitting in the waiting room when I was finally called for my copayments they did not take my flex spending card they told me that the copayment was cash only which was something I should've been told when I first made the appointments and when they also gave me a call to follow up that I was going to be coming I was never told that all that it had to be a cash payment. I had no time to go to an ATM to take out cash since I had another place to be so instead I just decided to get up and leave and never come back again this place is absolutely unprofessional and I'm just disgusted with the service here. read more

she is a very judgmental doctor, she told me metformin does not treat PCOS. I have been on Metformin for 15 years. It has helped me get pregnant, keep the weight off and suppresses my appetited. I ONLY went to her because my GYNO office was closed and needed advise urgently. She told me I had an atopic pregnancy? gave me the scare of my life! she told me I should come off metformin because its making my symptoms worse for pcos? I weigh 126 and I am 5'5. One of the symptoms of PCOS was being overweight. Another symptom is not getting pregnant , which I am ! she told me because I booked on zoc doc it was illegal and that all doctors are coming off zoc doc. she was very unprofessional and I just left the office because of the things she was telling me . I am 36 weeks pregnant, NOT atopic pregnancy's. she told me I should do surgery to remove the baby. omg. I wish I had enough money to sue her! unbelievable read more

I did my research- was looking into finding a new ob/gyn,and found that Dr. Nayak had more positive ratings. The directions given stated it would take 15 mins from my job ( I had then worked in the city, and went to her office in Queens), which took over 45 mins which wasn't her fault, but still annoying. Location was pretty close to train station, so not that long of a walk. I was pretty disappointed that it wasn't in a typical office suite, it was a home office, but still (at this point) kept an open mind. I was greeted by her receptionist? Latina women who was playing Latin music n lip syncing, but it was a Friday, so hey why not...plus I loved the station, but not too professional in my opinion. Then I was asked by the same person to call my insurance company b/c she wasn't able to verify my insurance. This has never happened to me before, and in my head I was like isn't that your job? I sat on a folding chair then waited 30 mins to be called. I then was greeted by a lovely young lady- her medical assistant? Who took my weight etc. then finally meet Dr. Nayak who seem to be in a rush. I had some questions n concerns I wanted to address n she advised me to go into another room, and undress. Then I waited another 20 mins until she finally appeared. She stated she would answer any issues, but asked if I can reserve it till the end of her exam- she no problem, I like to think I'm an easy breezy type person. Long story short she stated that "African American women tend to have high blood pressure" (which #1 I never had any issues regarding this, my #'s were a little high that day, but probably due to train delays n hectic day), I answered "yes I know that, but your point is?!?!" I advised Dr Nayak "I'm Hispanic", she asked "from where exactly? Where were your parents born?" which took me by surprise I said "Puerto Rican, both are from P.R" she asked "both parents?", I said "Yes", she then asked me "where is that located?" The look of shock n dismay must've been written all over my face. Let me state for the record that I am a proud Afro-Latina, I do not look like Jennifer Lopez more like Celia Cruz. I just couldn't believe that a women of color herself was showing such ignorance and in your face Colorism. I then asked (just to be sure I wasn't delusional n really needed clarification), "so you don't know or never heard about or know where Puerto Rico is?!?!" She acted like she didn't hear me, and continue to advise me about high blood pressure, which wasn't one of my concerns. I would of normally got her all the way together, but I was naked with a probe in my vagina. I just calmly asked if we could have a further discussion once I was dressed b/c I had other issues I wanted to discuss as a new patient. She must've seen the steam coming out b/c she said sure. I was asked to provide a sample (urine), then got dressed. I asked the assistant where should I wait for Dr Nayak (her living room perhaps?), in which I was informed that she was seeing other patients, and if I wanted to wait. Needless to say I didn't, nor did I return. I've dealt with prejudices n colorism all my life, but never from a healthcare professional. Besides any questions I had I wouldn't want answered by someone who doesn't even know where Puerto Rico is on a map. Dr. Nayak please re-educate yourself. When you know better, you can DO better. read more
