I made an online telephone appointment with this company as per their Instagram recommendation. Unfortunately I never received the courtesy of a telephone call. The company confirmed the appointment but there was never any follow through by their representative. Clearly, they need to improve before attempting to solicit new customers. I have the staff members name but do not want to mention it so not to.embarass him for the lack of follow through ( Diego). Im taking a pass on this company. Lack of simple follow through is indicative of larger problems in house. Easy to make an assertion of a cancelled call-which is an outright, boldface lie. You folks need to get it together. It's possible that this accounting firm is great, but first impressions are everything. We got on the 15 minute consultation call they offer, with a guy named Diego. The condescending tone as soon as he got on the phone was unacceptable. Sounded unprofessional, an attitude as if he was doing us a favor, judgmental, and questioning and criticizing why we had not done certain things with our books. Granted it was just a consultation call. Based on pricing and what I know about this business, I think that they were in line with what we're looking for from an accounting firm, but had to cut the call short, couldn't continue with that attitude, deal breaker. Reply to response below: Not the case, we are actually the perfect match. Nothing uncomfortable about the questions themselves. It was the tone, attitude and arrogance. This is our second year filing w/ Sandoval Tax. Last year we had an initial Zoom call to answer basic questions. We sent payment and turned in all of our paperwork electronically. Our information was sent off, accepted, and we received our money quickly. We had a portal with all of our paperwork that we could access to keep up w/ the filing process. This year filing was the same minus the Zoom call. I really like the ease of uploading everything to the portal. The business is on top of things as far as communicating via email and phone calls which is helpful when you're dealing with the stress of taxes. read more

Avoid this tax firm at all cost. I went to a consultant, signed documents then a few days later called and told them I went with another firm. They didn't look at my accounts in anyway but charged my account over $3,000 and refused to refund the money back. Apparently he feel he shouldn't have to give it back... then the office lady said all the could off was a business plan to compensate for the money they took out of the account.... I also know other business that's had problems with this firm and they refuse to refund any amount of money take out of the accounts. read more

I reached out to this company to get tax estimate for 2022. I received a response email from Maria, very nice and set up appointment with Diego. I spoke with him a week later and he was not helpful, a bit condescending with a better than you attitude. He stated that going forward, they will only be doing business taxes, no more personal tax returns. I explained we had a small business and he stated if not a Corp. etc. they are not interested. I asked him why Maria hadn't informed me of this new rule and he just stated Maria must have made a mistake...hmmm? Basically, I truly felt like he was racist two fold because I am a white woman, so I asked to speak with Ray and he aggressively said no, you can speak to me....VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. I was in need of a local tax preparation service and found Sandoval Tax CPAs. When I did my consultation with Diego (the person that gets you jump started) all seemed well and had decided to move forward with them. However, after he sent me the engagement letter to confirm our agreement, I found a couple of discrepancies and what he verbally said over the phone did not match what was in the letter. In order to obtain clarity, I gave him a call to verify the information I was concerned about. He said he understood, but that "we really only took you on because you have rentals" and would speak to his boss and send me a new engagement letter. I heard nothing back for two weeks and when I reached out to inquire about the delay, he said he was sorry, but they were "no longer taking on new clients." To say I'm disappointed in the professionalism Diego demonstrated is an understatement. First, he lied about contract information, then he failed to contact me, and finally decided to lose us as clients. This is not the type of behavior and customer service I expect when dealing with someone who is supposed to represent a professional business. I hope Joe Sandoval finds someone better to mange clientele for him. read more

I actually found Joel on yelp and so happy that I chose him to do my 2017 taxes. I have always used TurboTax, but had a huge capital gain and figured I needed professional help.
