    ASAP definition

    While I recognize how easy it must be to erase voicemails, I am confused as to why it has been about 22 days since sending me this email (essentially calling me a liar) and still a plumber has not been sent out again. In addition I called on October 28th and left a message not a voicemail (since you don't receive those) with the receptionist on the issue yet again. I do however appreciate you mentioning the portal for we have used that numerous times (pre-sign in required) and can now confirm we have been purposely ignored. I do apologize for not knowing you prefer email since there is a phone number and a fax number on your card, may I recommend you solely have your email stated if that's the case. I look forward to continually having to shower in fluctuating scolding hot to freezing cold water with still no resolution probably ever while still paying rent :)

    They raised the rent during these difficult times. And they never fix anything or even bother to give you a warning, only 25 days!!

    Skyline Property Management: Six Stars - They Deliver!…read more Several years ago, as neophytes to being 'landlords', we took the recommendation of a real estate agent/friend and hired Skyline. Robert & Christy walked us through what we needed to do to prepare our rental, advised us on pricing, advertised and screened applicants for us, negotiated the rental contract and then managed the property once tenants were 'in'. They were professional, thorough and made the entire process EASY! Recently we have also seen Skyline in action from the renter's perspective when our son contacted them about an apartment they were managing. Again, Skyline's Robert & Christy were the consummate professionals. They put my son at ease and were straightforward about the process, the documents they needed, and their expectations once my son qualified for the rental. They have been quick to respond to needed repairs and are always available to answer questions. They are compassionate people who really enjoy their work!     I lived in one of their apartments for my last two years at UCSB. They were great to work with…read more Everything such as payments and maintenance requests were done online. They never took more than a day to respond. When the heater burned out, they switched it out the next day. The apartment was better than most places in IV, and the price was around the same because internet and cable was included in the rent. They also returned pretty much all of the security deposit. (They took a preset amount for cleaning fee, but it was mentioned beforehand and actually cheaper than many cleaners). I recommend Koto to all my friends living in IV now!

Unless you're in a desperate situation where timeframes will not allow, avoid renting from Koto at all costs, I've read the other reviews and they align with mine. It appears that being a ruthless scammer is a required criterion for getting hired at Koto, if you're a person with a moral conscious you wouldn't work for Koto, but the people who work here are unable to place themselves in other people's shoes and empathize/imagine that if this happened to them they would likewise be infuriated justly so, and at this point I hope karma is served. Koto creates "karen" tenants by their own actions. I am an introverted person that minds my own business, I pay my dues on time never a missed payment, but if you walk all over me and dismiss my concerns then I will not be quiet and go away, my current situation. Koto will at first dismiss your valid concerns as if you're a mosquito in their ear, then, they will unlawfully try to bully and intimidate you into submission. DO YOUR RESEARCH, they try to pull many illegal tactics, do not trust what they say in any correspondence and DO trust they will try to retaliate. Their "legal team" either doesn't exist or is completely inept, otherwise their staff wouldn't be attempting to enact a 30-day notice change of terms on my fixed lease term. My wishes with anyone that has dealt with them or will, your own out-of-pockets costs are likely to ensue.
