One of my rare 5-star reviews for Dr. Jeffrey Tyler and the kind folks at New Milford Medical Group…read more- without reservation! They truly deserve the high praise I am about to heap upon them. My elderly parents live in New Milford and I live (what feels like) a million miles away (when there's a medical crisis) in Austin, TX. I recently came to New Milford for what was supposed to be a quick visit - and instead I've stayed for about 3 weeks now, nursing my mom who is suffering from a compression fracture to one of her vertebrae. Luckily for me, my mom is a smart cookie - as evidenced by her choice in her health care provider, Dr. Tyler. Mom's been a patient of Dr. Tyler's for years. She is a pretty healthy gal, and has always spoken highly of him - and being 1500 miles away, I'm sure whenever she's mentioned it, I just shrugged and nodded. But this visit was different because of her injury. I got to see first hand the excellent care, skill, and compassion that my mom's been getting. And not only that, but when I needed to do things like get her HIPPA form updated, adjust her medications late on a Friday night, move her appointment up, and get her cleared for surgery - the staff at New Milford Medical Group could not have been more helpful, _available_, and accommodating. It's not easy being so far away from your loved ones, especially as they age. I wish more medical groups operated the way Dr. Tyler and New Milford Medical Group operate. They are talented medical professionals, they really care about their patients, and they do their best to make a stressful situation less so. While mom's not out of the woods just yet, you've already taken an immeasurable weight off my shoulders - thanks to you and your outstanding team, Doc!

Didn't want to have to wait to be seen by my primary care physician, so I made an appt at DOCS for first thing the next morning. Unfortunately, their Wi-Fi wasn't working and a few other systems were down, so Karen (who I believe is the manager) had to really hustle to manually take care of all of us patients. I felt badly for her as there were several of us already waiting and I'm sure more were about to file in. Not only did she handle it all with a smile, but somehow they managed to get me in to see the doctor (Michelle - perhaps a PA? I can't recall but who cares she's AWESOME) and back out the door within an hour of my scheduled appointment. Entire staff was kind, attentive, professional and made me feel like they truly cared. My appointment wasn't rushed and I left with the script I needed. I really appreciated the care I received and am happy to leave this good review without hesitation. I needed to go back to DOCS again today, and my visit was just as seamless as my first. Karen, Jad (sorry if I've misspelled your name!) and Michelle are all SO wonderful. They're exceptionally professional, kind, warm and knowledgable. To say they have a good "bedside manner" is truly an understatement. I have loved my PCP at a local private practice, but these guys are all so good that I'm seriously considering making a change and sticking with DOCS. Thank you again for the exceptional care!!

I made an appointment for 8:30 am 20 minutes prior on a Wednesday morning for back pain and nausea…read more When I told Karen at the front desk that I couldn't sit due to my back pain she brought me to one of the back rooms with an adjustable chair while I filled out my checkin paperwork. She grabbed me ice packs to help calm it down and was extremely nice in a somewhat embarrassing situation. The doctor Michelle was very caring and thorough. When i told her I was feeling extremely nauseous, she went to get me Zofran from her office before continuing the exam. She tried to be as fast as possible to prevent extra pain. They really seemed to care and were very kind on a very busy weekday morning. I would say I was first seen by the doctor around 9 am but i made a last-minute appointment and there were 3 people already waiting to be seen when I arrived. I have very bad anxiety at the doctor for various reasons and don't even have a primary care doctor because of it. But I'm thinking of utilizing DOCs as my primary care now

I requested another caregiver who was unable to read the telemonitor, asking "what do those numbers mean". I emailed and called several times and was ignored. They certainly were on top of things when i was considering hiring. I thought I should have been refunded for at least the two nights. Again I was ignored. I found them to be unprofessional, untruthful but most importantly the care and knowledge was inferior. Stay away from this if you care about your loved ones, I wish I had.

Access Nursing Services has a monopoly on providing companions and nurses to patients at Columbia a…read morePresbyterian Hospital. As a result, they have an obligation to try to keep their customers happy. We needed a companion for our beloved family member and while we were a little shocked by the cost, $600 a night, we hoped that the companions who we hired would be empathetic and hopefully we'll compensated for their time. Overall we were very satisfied with the companions as well as the customer service. One thing you should know. If you arrange for a companion and your patient ends up getting discharged from the hospital, you still have to pay the full price for night. No refunds. So I'd advise waiting until the afternoon before reserving a companion or nurse, since once you order the service you are committed to pay the full price.
