We came here after golfing with a group of 8. The staff were very welcoming. We got seated immediately and most of us ordered their pizza that was recommended from the golf course workers, and it did not disappoint. We ordered two different pizzas, both were some of the best pizza I've had in a long long time. Others had burgers that were very good as well. Food prices are very fair. Food and bloody Mary's are pretty good. Place seems to cater to its regulars and can be very rude to new patrons. Very unprofessional. Make sure all of your group is there at the same time as well or they will throw a fit and not seat you. Far better experiences with other establishments around that will clearly get my business. We love the food. Service is great and it's homey and comfortable. They keep rolls of paper toweling on the tables for convenience. That's great when you're eating. No more looking for extra napkins when you get too much food on your hands. read more

Great place to eat! Us 4 guys went there Friday after a long day of roofing and grabbed a bite to eat. Small place inside not much room for seating bar runs almost the length of the building. The four of us guys enjoyed a couple cheeseburgers a silver fox and large walleye dinner. The silver fox is what I had, it is a fish fillet on top of a cheeseburger. The combination doesn't sound like one that would be spectacular but oddly enough it works really well together. Served with a mound of fries. Everyone had amazing quality of food. I could make a better quesadilla than what they made and I can't even cook. Our waitress was nice but the food took 45 minutes. The quesadilla had barely any cheese on it and it was so small. It took me 5 minutes to eat and I was not full. I was not happy with how bad the food was considering how long we waited. read more

Sandtrap Bar & Grill ~ We were not treated well and will never go back. We walked in the door and waited along the wall to register and have a drink before going to a table. A nice couple said they were leaving and we could have their place at the bar. There was no one else standing along the wall at the time so we felt grateful and proceeded to sit down when the owner of the bar tells us we could not sit there because he reserved those spots for someone else. He told us to read the sign at the door that says reserve a spot at the bar. So you have to reserve a spot at the bar to sit at the bar? read more

A good local place where the owners and the bartenders and cooks. Definitely a lake dive place, but everyone knows everyone so a nice place to go after boating all day. The place is small and they are busy usually on the weekend but food comes fast. EVERYTHING is literally frozen and refried. You see the chef take everything out of the box, bag, or tub, so don't go in thinking it's fresh made or farm to table. The coconut shrimp looked really good...they came out of a box looked like they bought them from Costco. The burgers looked really good and I'd try that next time. Had the perch, which was ok (fried nicely and wasn't greasy at all). My dad had the shrimp and they were the typical fried shrimp....very good portions for a fair price. read more

We entered this establishment at the recommendation of our campground on Friday the 9th of August about 5 pm. When we entered we went to the bar as a sign requested we do. We stood there for a moment and a couple told us they were leaving and we could have their spot. We thanked them and they told us to be careful as the bartender was not super friendly. My sister ordered a beer and I went to the restroom. When I came back my other sister was conversing with the bartender and he had called over to another group to take our spots as our whole party wasn't present yet. Apparently you can only sit at the bar if your whole party is present. The male bartender was rude and not friendly at all. My sister told him we did not feel welcome and he told us it was the policy. I realize this is a very small local bar, but they were rude and I wouldn't send anyone back there no matter how good the Friday fish may be! We went to another establishment in town and they told us they hear this often. read more

We just love this place. The food is always fresh and delicious. The service is friendly and prompt. The Sand Trap is must for this family every weekend. It's a hard industry in a small town like like this but Lori and Jason go beyond to deliver top notch food and beverages. To the other reviewer, portion size? Seriously? We almost always take a to-go box with us. That makes no sense. A friend of ours introduced us to the Sand Trap a few years back and and we have been patronizing it ever since.
