This place never disappoints! My husband and I have been here a few times, and everything we have had has been delicious. He said the prime rib was the best he has had in a long time. I cannot have gluten, and I have had the poor man's lobster twice. It is by far the best baked fish I have ever had. Most places are dry and flavorless. Anderson's is very moist and perfectly seasoned. You must try their homemade chips! The ambiance is warm and homey, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Three ladies out for a nice dinner. Two meals were ok, nothing great. One meal was not satisfactory. The server was asked for a pasta side to replace the meal which was untouched other than an initial bite. Imagine our surprise when not only was there a charge for the uneaten meal but there was also a charge for the extra side. We were willing to pay for the meal but to be charged for the additional side was uncalled for. We questioned the waitress and then we were almost attacked by the owner who clearly does not have any customer service skills. To be spoken to in such a loud and aggressive manner over a 2.95 side is completely uncalled for. Obviously the customer is not always right in this establishment because no effort was made to find a solution for this situation, we were only bullied as if it was our fault. Phone number on website is wrong..... They say they can't get it changed ?? It rang and rang. Long wait (hour), yet tables (lots) were open. ??? I guess the rule is that people sit on the bar finishing their drinks even if their table is ready. Wouldn't it be normal to take drinks to the table ? So, with this annoyance, the lack of attention to even take a name for future seating and general rudeness, the 9 of us left. Two tables, nine people, perhaps $200-$300 walked out the door never to return. I guess I understand why restaurant turnover is high. read more

Solid and consistent place with NICE people For 5 stars the food needs to be great ( which it is), but the people need to be top notch too. The server ( Donna) was amazingly friendly and competent. She was more professional than most in NE Wisconsin. Her sidekick was also fantastic and on the ball..... The Sat night Prime rib was astoundingly big ( no kidding - check it out) and the bartender was low key and cool and did it right. Whats not to like? First time I've eaten here (on a Friday night) and wow! The perch I had was hand breaded, baby reds were so very delicious, great portions and friendly staff. So disappointed. Came on a Thursday night with 7 people. Two people ordered perch, it came out first and was room temperature. Worst fish I have ever tasted. They replaced with walleye, it was hot but did not taste too good. French fries were room temperature and tortellini was dry and hard. Prime rib and steak was very good. Service was terrible. Hardly anyone in the restaurant. They brought out two meals at a time with a long gap in between. I was almost done with my dinner by the time the last meal came out. Never offered us a drink, not even water. I gave them some glass cups that were on the table, because they were greasy, dirty and one had a mouth print. Gary ran our credit card for $200.00, did not apologize, said thanks and handed the card back. read more

Went there Saturday for dinner. Asked the owner to put our name down for a table twice. We then asked the waitress if she could put our name down and he got mad at her and said he would do it but he never did. We came here after we were told by a rude bartender at Maiden Lake Supper Club that there would be a 3 hour wait. Our party of 4 was very pleased with the food and the great service. Saturday night, date night. We were looking forward to another nice prime rib dinner. The first time we were there for the Saturday Prime Rib, it was superb. I don' t know what happened this time , but was very disappointed and it wasn't worth the money. Both prime rib dinners were under cooked and had to be sent back. There was more waste than meat. The amount of fat and grizzle was taken home for the dogs. The salads and rolls were good. So disappointing, won't be returning any time soon! read more
