I started coming to this studio a few months ago and I absolutely love the Zumba classes. Every instructor is very welcoming, helpful, energetic, and positive. I always feel like a get a good workout whenever I leave. I started with a Groupon deal since I was new to Zumba. You can probably find a Groupon, Yelp, or a deal at the studio if you are new and just want to try it out. I've continued on with classes by purchasing them at the studio. PROs - instructors, various time slots to fit many schedules, affordable, fun (the Zumba classes are like sneaky exercise because they are so fun), and you can sign up for classes and add them to your calendar via the MindBodyConnect app. CONs - Parking can be an issue. They have a lot in the back, but it may fill up quickly because of the gym/boxing studio down stairs. read more

I love this woman and her studio. Sandy is an amazing teacher, full of energy and positive energy and she makes everyone who comes in the door feel welcome. Her instructors are also top notch. Lucia has amazing Zumba classes and she is a true delight. Shannon will kick your butt in the Zumba +Tone classes but it is well worth it for the results. I highly recommend this studio. I have become addicted to Zumba now. Started out as a groupon deal and now I am a regular there. They only have 3 classes a day so check schedule to make sure it will work. Sandy, Paula, and Lucia all give great classes and you will sweat and have to think with the choreography. It is the best hour of my day when I take a class and not as hard on my body as taebo. I had been wanting to try Zumba ever since it popped up because I've always loved Latin dance and get super bored at the gym usually. Sandy had a deal through Amazon Local so I signed up...and 2 months later I'm still hooked! Sandy is a great trainer because she is high energy, super fun to be around, and yet will still give you one of the hardest workouts you've ever had. She makes it a ton of fun, and is so easy to communicate with about new classes, cancelling last minute if work keeps me late, or even just general questions about keeping in shape. She's really inspired me to get back to a healthier lifestyle. I owe her! Love zumba with Sandy! She is not only a great zumba intructor and dancer, but she manages to make each person in her class feel good about themselves. You won't find a more fit instructor, but as out of shape and overweight as I am, I only felt 100% positivity and encouragement from her. Came across Sandy's Zumba class series as a part of Amazon Local offers and I couldnt be happier. Sandy is a ball of energy, always turns your horrible, stressful day into a sweat dripping, booty shaking, good ol' time for a solid hour. If you've never done zumba before, don't fret, by the second time around, your feet remember the routine! I've been to other zumba classes in the valley, but none of the routines are as fun, encouraging and challenging as Sandy's. I drive 20 miles to take this class and it is SO worth it! most important of all, you're having a great time, to great music and at the end of it all, you've burned a gazillion calories. All fitness/dance levels will enjoy Sandy's Zumba workout! I can tell there are always some very experienced dancers in the room, who Sandy challenges, as well as newcomers who Sandy guides. As a beginner, I must admit her classes are a welcome challenge! I consider myself uncoordinated (at best), though I find I can occasionally use my own version of some of her awesome moves and still get a totally great workout. Sandy has clearly made an effort to acknowledge each of her students own abilities and to help out and really teach the moves. The only tip i have is that her Tuesday night classes (at least the ones i went to) tend to be crowded, so if you're easily overwhelmed, I would take the first couple of classes on another night. I haven't been able to go since the new year ( the drive from Los Feliz can be a bit much, though I always felt it was worth it for these Zumba classes.) Also, the body sculpting classes are really tough and I saw results after 2 classes. Great for toning! Give her a try, you won't regret it! read more

I've been sampling several different Zumba fitness classes in the North Hollywood area and found a gem in Sandy. Her music and choreography choices are awesome and can be followed by all who are determined to have fun and break into a deep sweat. Her prices are about $10/class, but you can purchase a punch card to discount the individual class price. Her classes are packed and you may have to reserve a spot on certain days. I miss taking Zumba classes at Sandy Camp Fitness! They are the best Zumba classes I've ever taken! I moved from Hollywood to Culver City so I don't go anymore (ONLY because of the commute- If I lived closer there is no doubt I would still be going to Sandy Camp). I've been to a couple different Zumba instructors on the westside and none are as fun, upbeat or challenging as the classes I took here - FUN and challenging being the biggest factors! The instructors are great, and so are the other people taking the classes! It doesn't matter your skill level, there is no judgement - just movement! It's high energy dancing that leaves me drenched after an hour of moving non-stop and the BEST part about it is that it's so much fun I don't even have to push myself to work hard. I bought Zumba classes off of one of the "daily deal" sites and I am completely in love. My sisters and I started with Sandy about a month ago and she is by far the most fun instructor I've had in any dance or exercise class I've ever taken. I've done Zumba at the gym and with several different instructors and she's just the best! I have a background in dance from forever ago and have been reluctant to start again since it's been so long since I've done anything with choreography or actual dance steps. With her years of experience in dance I found a happy medium for myself getting back into it without feeling like a total idiot ;) Her class ranges from younger kids on occasion to tall older men and trust me - it doesn't matter if you know what you're doing or not - no one cares and it's just fun! read more

My first experience with Sandy was her workout. Woops! That was great, but I wasn't, so I took a beginner class, and boy was I. Then I realized she offered yoga with the great Sarah Bibbo, and that was fabulous, as were a couple of restorative yoga classes. Sandy's classes are awesome! I have taken both the Body Sculpt and Zumba classes and I am totally hooked. Not only are they fun, Sandy is such an inspiring ball of energy you cannot help but get excited and have fun. This review is long overdue. I seriously thought i yelped this months and months ago. Sandy Campy Fitness is all you need!!! Sandy is a complete inspiration!!! In the best way possible, I am Obsessed. I had health issues for about 4 years. Taking her classes , I have more energy than I've had in years. I've always loved dance and have been so excited that dance fitness is available to us all now. I tried out several studios and instructors. Some were really good, and some not so much. Sandy is beyond good. She's Excellent and Authentic in her style. All the instructors are unique and amazing. I can't say enough about what this studio has done for me. LOVE LOVE LOVE her, the music, all the instructors , all the friends I've made and all the dancing. Tuesday Nights her brother plays drums along with the music, bringing a whole new energy to the class. You can feel the music right through you. Sandy's zumba class is a high impact workout that is actually fun! I hate cardio and can usually only push myself through 30 or 40 minutes until I found Zumba- and I can honestly say it has changed my life. Almost immediately I was able to see a change in my body getting leaner and stronger but more importantly I gained a new sense of confidence. I love SandyCampyFitness! By far the best work out experience I have had in LA so far. I've taken their zumba and body sculpt classes. My favorite for zumba is Lucia, she's just so encouraging and into it you can't help but get in the zone! Michelle is also great and has a wonderful positive energy! I've done the body sculpt classes with Sandy who is persistent and makes sure sure you pushes yourself, I loved it! One of the most important things that I can stress about this location is that you are welcomed here and you come here to better yourself! I've tried classes at other locations where instructors were not helpful to new students, or other students wouldn't even acknowledge you. I love that I can come here get a great workout in and still manage to make a friend during class. I always tell my friends about SC Fitness, and how great the environment is here. If you're a newbie to working out or just someone who's looking for a new spot, I would definitely recommend to check this place out! Parking is really not that bad for me, the lot behind usually fills up quickly but there are plenty of street spots on Lankershim or a neighborhood behind. read more

I 1st met her when she taught at Cardio Barre and was subbing for one of my favorite instructors. Needless to say I started off totally pissed off but barely had time to complain before she completely won me over with her amazing contagious enthusiasm. Sometimes instructors can come off like an overdose of fake sugar but not Sandy, her sincerity is evident and genuine kind spirit shines. I had been curious to take a Zumba class but admittedly am completely uncoordinated with zero rhythm and no confidence with any dance moves. Yet, Sandy has a way about her that makes it all so much fun! Don't get me wrong this is quite a work out! I exercise everyday including hiking, running and advanced Cardio Barre clases but Sandy's Zumba class is WOW crazy tough and even after 6 classes I'm still trying to figure it all out. But I assure you I get a great work out and love every minute of it! read more

Ever since college when working out was playing sports (which was a while ago) I hate to work out and have tried MANY different classes/workout methods etc- from the regular gym to Cardio Bar to Spinning to Pilates to Insanity and P90X Videos and the only thing I have been able to stick with and enjoy has been Zumba at Sandy Campy Fitness. I love both Sandy and Paula's classes. They both are amazing instructors who keep every class new, fun and interesting. I also have no Rhythm but they make you forget about that and have fun anyway. In addition, they do show you the steps so you learn them and can actually see progress from week to week. They both are very energetic positive people who make sure they know everyone by name even on the first class, so they make you want to go to class each week! read more

I'm in love. It hurts so good! I really do hate going to the gym. The smell of hard work freaks me out. I was looking for a cardio workout and found this place on Yelp. I was really happy to find a Groupon of 2 months unlimited for ,like, dirt cheap. I do have tons of workout dvd's which worked for me in the past but this time I was looking for something a little more... fun (as much as it can be..). I tried beginners Zumba with Christine. She's awesome. Yesterday I did Zumba& toning with Lucia. She's awesome. Today, I am going for a class with a different instructor. I am sure she will be........ awesome. What amazed me the most is how great the instructors are and how fun the workout is. They don't make you feel like you're a weirdo just because you have no coordination (my case). All the girls that are taking this classes are very cool too. No egos, no divas, just a great group of people who like to get/stay fit. So highly recommended! read more

I have been coming to SC fitness for over a year and I LOOOOVE it! I'm at Wednesday night Cardio Body Sculpt just about every week. She packs a LOT into a 60 minute workout, but her enthusiasm gets you through it! It's pretty challenging which I like, and Sandy pays a lot of attention to form, which is great. If you are new, there are Groupon deals and other new customer specials pretty frequently. There's some deals once in a while for those of us regulars too, but it's worth every penny. Every day the workouts are different so you don't get bored. I can't say enough good things! read more

I was totally unfit and uncoordinated when I first took Sandy's class, but I love music and wanted to give Zumba a try. I'M SO GLAD I DID. Sandy is so nice, so encouraging and made me feel like I CAN DO IT!! She's fun and funky and energetic and so much fun to follow. Never having danced at all before, I decided to take a step back and try Christine's beginner class, which was a great decision. First, even though it's a beginner class, you still sweat - a lot. She plays most of the same music as Sandy and does most of the same moves, but breaks it down for you. I can't rave enough about Christine. Anyway, I'm no great dancer (yet!) but this is a really fun way to get fit. I'm feeling better about my body and about myself and I always walk out smiling. Finally found the best Zumba teacher when I met Sandy. She brings the "Z" in to Zumba making class fun and challenging. I have been to many different teachers over the past 1 1/2 years but is the best. She always has a smile and gives so m much of her happy smiling self to each student. I loooooveeeeee Sandy's classes! I started taking her Zumba class May of 2012 after purchasing a lifebooker deal, and have been hooked ever since! I wanted to find a way to get back into working out, shaping up, and simply having fun and her class is the perfect combination of those three! It's seriously changed me sooo much! Her routines are energetic, upbeat, intense, challenging and all around fun! I started out as a total Zumba noob and was incredibly stiff and uncoordinated, and now I find myself improving more and more with every class I take. I can move and shake in ways that I never imagined I could, and my body has become more flexible and looser thanks to her class! Most importantly, I am having the best time dancing, working up a sweat, and burning serious calories without feeling like I'm working out! The class is great for all experience levels. Don't be intimidated if you don't get the routines right away - give yourself a few classes and you will get the moves in no time. Simply put, nobody does it better. I've been taking aerobic classes longer than... well... a while. I've never found a teacher as fun,supportive, challenging, yet welcoming as Sandy. Her Zumba classes are the best, her cardio workouts are just the right amount of difficulty without hurting yourself for the rest of the week. She's fun, she's passionate, and she's so darn nice.
