She writes mystery books and the character lives on the island. Love it! She was doing a book signing and I was not going to be able to go. I was able to order a book from them and have the author sign it. That was about 2 years ago and we have been fans ever since. They were so incredibly polite and helpful. We missed coming here last year because of their hours. It is located on an island so they are not open super late. This is a cute little bookstore with different books, little trinkets and souvenirs to purchase. From my understanding they also do many events with different authors. We visited and were actually able to speak with the owner. She was so sweet, actually straightening from a previous nights event. She talked to us for a bit, got to know us and recommended us to her favorite authors. We wanted local books or books written about Sanibel and Captiva. She only had a few but of course we were able to find some we liked. I would highly recommend stopping here if you need a book while on vacation. If I lived in this area, this would be my local shopping place for books. It is always better to buy local. My only reason for a 4 is there was not a huge selection of local books and the ones she did have, she did not have the whole series. There was pretty much one of each as well, so my sister and I could not each get one. But again, I understand, its a small island. I just wish there was more and more copies. Overall though, we will stop in each year and check it out, see what's new and look for any treasures we can find. The fact that they are independent and do not charge more for a book is also really great. Its a good value for us to buy from a local shop as opposed to a mass retailer. You should definitely check it out.

This studio was able to save it, so grateful as it was our favorite wedding photo and it's great. By the way that picture was 41 years old and would have devastated us if we couldn't preserve it. They also took a 5X7 picture of my son's wedding and blew it up to 3 8X10's so I could give them to the bride and groom as a gift and the other one to his younger brother, also in the photo. The prices for all this was definitely extremely reasonable as I actually expected it to be more expensive. I was so completely satisfied with their work. If you have any photography you need to either get repaired or done better, give them a try, I'm sure you will be more than satisfied . The only reason they didn't get zero stars was that you can't rate that low…read more Never met the dad but the son turned out to be a crook, actually a crook by stealing a Canvas Giclee when he failed to return a print that I brought in that I own (I have the invoice and COA) to the artist or myself. He was to frame a replacement print and return the one to be replaced. Instead he decided he would not send it back and hoped no one would notice. Well, when I had to return another prime he framed for me because of poor work I noticed that he took the original print I brought in and framed it and put it on his store wall to sell. When I told him that it was my print and it needs to be returned to either me or the artist he said "you got the replacement so who would know I keep it unless you tell them". I told them I would be calling the artist as I paid several thousand dollars for it and only a crook would try to keep it and try to sell it. He said I had nothing better to do then turn him in and told him I was just doing the honest and right thing to do. Any one that wants more information can DM me but I would stay away from this business.
