When they agreed to pick me up and take me to the airport when all the other services were booked, I was quite pleased with them. I spoke on the phone with the driver 5 minutes before I arrived at the agreed to pick up location. Then... nothing. I called, texted, called repeatedly, called the other number on the voicemail message, and no response. After a while, I couldn't even get to the voicemail because it sounds like they blocked me. A ride was arranged from the airport to the island by a friend through this company. I received some of the best customer service from a company in a long time from Sanibel Limo. John was a great driver and super friendly. Dirk also provided great customer service on the administrative part. Do not use Sanibel Limo Service!!! They were supposed to pick up at my home this morning 4/20/2016 at 4:45am for a 6:30am flight. I reserved this reservation on Monday 4/18/2016. At 4:50am on 4/20/16, when there was no driver here we called the owner Dirk who was very quick with me. He said the driver would be here. At 4:55am still no driver so my husband called to see where the driver was. Dirk said he would call and the driver and call back. Which never happened. At 5am I got in the car and drove my visitors to the airport. My husband continued to call Dirk back and he let the calls go straight to voicemail. First of all, the company is very unreliable. We were fortunate that we had transportation to drive our visitors to the airport but what if we didn't. Second the company is extremely unprofessional to not call us back and inform us the driver was not coming and to apologize for the error. Total coward move! read more

Complete scam!!! Changed price once we arrived at our destination! From the airport to Captiva is 65 on their website and every other on-line advertisement, then when we got to the resort he increased it to 80 and wouldn't let me leave until I paid, if it wasn't so late and I was so tired I would've called the police!! I wish I had read reviews on here before booking. I booked this service to go from RSW airport to Pineland marina where I was getting a water taxi to north captiva island with my family. Since they told me they had car seats, we didn't bring ours for our two kids (age 2 and 4). Our driver was there upon pickup at the airport. I installed the car seats (they worked fine but were a little dingy). He was friendly during the drive to Publix - he had mentioned via phone specifically that we could have 30 min at no charge in the grocery store. In spite of this, I preordered our groceries so they were ready for a quick pickup. We were probably in the parking lot loading up for 20 or so minutes. From there drove to pineland marina. The ride had been booked at the rate of $100 each way (we booked for return as well). I had this in my email confirmation. However the driver told me our ride would now be $125 because "it took longer than expected." Hmmm. What took longer than expected, I asked? Traffic on the actual route itself? Our Publix stop? Installing car seats? He was vague and wouldn't really confirm what he meant. I was confused because he said he does this route all the time. He insisted the new price was $125. Im kicking myself for not just saying screw you, were paying the price you contracted us. Then he texted me right after he dropped us off saying that he was canceling our return trip to the airport. It "just wasn't going to work." Was I being broken up with? I mean how unprofessional can you get? I was livid. I can't believe a company would just leave a customer in the lurch like that, especially with no car seats. Thankfully I was able to find a different company for our return trip. Not only were they professional, the car was much nicer (leather seats minivan vs an old suburban), car seats were new and clean and already installed - properly, to boot. They had even remembered that I needed one forward facing and one rear facing and a booster just in case my 4yo didn't fit in the forward facing. They took credit cards vs only cash. And furthermore they were cheaper ($73 vs $125). Please do not book Sanibel Limo. It is a joke of a business. You should use surfside shuttle. Much much better!! read more

Although I was met on time at Ft Meyers airport, driver took calls and WROTE NOTES the entire drive to Captiva, making it scary and also very slow. Reserved online 2 weeks prior to trip. Called three days prior to confirm, but they had no record of my reservation. Gave info again. Arrived at airport, no sign of driver. Retrieved baggage in record speed, went outside to curb. Still, no driver. Call company, told driver would be there in a couple minutes. 15 minutes later, call again. Don't know where driver is. Call 5 minutes later - no answer. Finally, after 35 minutes of this nonsense, walk down to taxi stand and we were quickly on our way in a cool minivan with a lovely man driving. You can make a professional looking website, but if you're not going to look at your reservations, why bother? Would not use this company again- obviously. read more

My son used Sanibel Limo for transportation from Fort Myers Airport to Sanibel. He arranged for transport back to the airport for his departure. He waited for the limo for an hour, then tried to call Sanibel Limo many times. Each call went to voice mail. He called me for advice. I called Sanibel Limo many times to try to get him picked up. After an hour of voicemail I finally got a person. The person said they were sorry there was no pickup. I asked what are you going to do about it? He hung up on me. Happy ending, I called another taxi service. They picked up my son in 5 minutes and charged less than Sanibel Limo for the airport trip. read more

I was underwhelmed by this service. Despite having made a reservation 3 weeks in advance the driver was 30 minutes late picking us up and he didn't bother to call. Then we got ten minutes away from the airport and a "missed passenger" called our driver and we returned back to the airport. She was equally upset about the delay (and she was on our flight). We were not offered any apology or discount for his tardiness however were granted a discount after asking. By the time we left the airport the second time it was an hour after we had our bags. The airport taxi service is the same price and had a taxi available the entire time (at 5:30 AM). Next time I'll use the airport taxi service, not sanibel limo. read more

Driver arrived at requested time. However, I watched him pull into the driveway and throw a cigatette on my lawn and the car smelt like he had just smoked the entire pack on cigarettes. How gross!! I will never use this service again. read more
