For some reason they can't get out of their trucks to take care of business. I think people use them because they have never tried any other company and don't know how much better it can be. I've had Sanipac for a year and a half now and I have never had a problem! Even with the snow storm the notifications they sent to my phone was very much appreciated! (If you don't have the App then now is the time to get it) Sanipac values the safety of the community and as a mom with kiddos playing outside in the snow we appreciated them not driving in the snow with it being icy and the power lines down low! I appreciate how close they are to my home so if I need to pay cash I can do that in their local office here in town. Their value on helping out in the community is amazing! They give out bikes to kids around Christmas time for those who aren't able to get one. If that isn't helping out the local community then I don't know what is. I say they're pretty local to me! I tried Sanipac after taking my garbage to Glenwood Transfer Station for years. this is what i experienced: Sanipac will miss picking up your refuse and you better call them right away within 24 hours or you're s.o.l. when i did call they made it sound like it was my fault when they didn't pick up my neighbors either. I canceled my service and never got a final bill until I get a red one that says "we have reminded you to honor this obligation on several occasions. (BS) It appears that we are unable to convince you to pay this voluntarily." If that isn't the biggest crock. Sanipac how rude, this is the first I even got a bill and secondly I had to pay blindly (i estimated $50.00 because they never sent me one.) So I only owe the crooks $7.50 anyway. Instead they send me a threatening letter like the Sopranos might send. lame lame lame. expect this service from Sanipac. read more

every Friday at 7:30 am and evetime I leave for work when the truck is picking my trash, but this time i got a massage from sanipac saying that my trash can was open and charged me $25 on fees, i was little confused then i did call the office and asked why the charges and the lady told me because it was 5 trash bags around the trash can and the person need to go out the truck and clean then and its $5 for extra bag. i told them that my garbage can never is over filling and its no extra bags then she checked the cameras and it was not extra garbage and she told me that she cant give me the refund because is already paid and i asked to put some credit for the next bill and she told me she cant do that i paid $25 for nothing and they charged me more for no reason the garbage truck driver lied he pick the wrong address and put the fees to my services read more

I am so pleased with my Sanipac gentlemen. I forgot to put out my trash and recycle for pick up today. So.....in a panic and in my pajamas I rushed outside to find that the gentleman took the initiative to grab my can to empty. I thanked him profusely and with a nod he took my garbage can to the curb. I had no problems with Sanipac for the years I was a customer. Office responses are good and prompt, and the pickups were always when scheduled. So why did I change to Lane Apex? Simply because they're local. Part of the money sent to Sanipac heads straight to Los Angeles (notice where you mail your bills?) and then home to the giant mega-corporation, Waste Management in Houston, Texas. When I called to cancel my service, the first statement was, we can match the price of Lane Apex. That told me something. read more

Ridiculous Garbage never got picked up on its scheduled day (friday), I call Monday to have it taken care of...left a voicemail. Lady called back and tells me a driver will come Tuesday. Tuesday comes around, 1:30p Garbage still there. Call and leave a voice mail, lady calls and explains he will be on his way shortly. I ask if there is a way they can cover my charges for a couple extra bags of garbage out on the curb...since I havent had a garbage can in 4 days. NOPE, they'll have to charge me for that. Our garbage and recycling were not picked up three times in a row. Finally, the drivers tucked a note in the lid of one bin, explaining that the drivers won't collect the containers unless they are placed three feet apart. For months I've been simply bringing the bins to the curb, unaware of this requirement, and the garbage and recycling were always collected. It's not that I'm unwilling to place the bins three feet apart-- I'd have been doing that all along had I known. What frustrates me is that they didn't post the flyer or otherwise contact me the first time I was out of compliance, rather than letting the garbage and recycling (collectively) build up for a month. If you have a choice, I would not recommend Sanipac. Garbage collection should be a fairly straightforward process, not a guessing game. read more

I would like to give two and a half stars because the office is very nice, but my trash is not being picked up. I just bought this house and we are remodeling, so we have loads of trash and yard debris, and we still have loads of trash and yard debris. I'm quite disappointed that they would treat a new customer so poorly, but there is no competition in Springfield, so there seems to be no incentive to do the job. Why does Eugene have 3 different garbage service companies, & Springfield gets stuck with only Sanipac? This allowed them to raise their bill to over $100.00 per 3 month cycles. They have a monopoly on Springfield!!! No competition keeps prices sky high!!!! Sanipac is the worst business I have ever dealt with!! They shut off service after 2-1/2 months and want us to pay for three, plus fee for restarting, & fee for repo of cans, when they never send us a bill to know the date it is due on. They double billed my wife & I for over a year, we kept telling them that something was wrong. Their response was something along the lines of, we are never wrong, we dont make mistakes, its in the computer. So finally after showing them, they said yeah, we're wrong, sorry about that. Do you think they would give us credit? Nope. They never send us a bill in the few years we used them, the only way we knew it was due is if they quit picking up, or if they repo'ed our cans. This last time no bill, they didnt dump our trash, then one week later they send a stop service notice (but cant send us a bill on a regular basis), the same day it is supposed to be picked up again. One week later after the stop service notice, they repo'ed them again. Everytime they stop service its a fee, along with another fee if they repo the cans. Making it $180.00 to get them back after only 2 months of service, not three like they are suppose to be billed at. All this after they double billed us for over a year!!! Not happy!!! read more

We lived in Springfield for many years and loved our Sanipac driver. It was tough when we moved to Eugene because you never know what your going to get when you move from one area to another. Our Sanipac driver in Eugene was just as friendly and courteous as our longtime driver in Springfield. The consistency from one area of town to another speaks to the quality of people at Sanipac and the great customer service they provide. read more

Avoid these guys if at all possible! I wish I could give zero stars. They repeatedly dropped trash on the street and our grass and just left it. The guy would take the time to go through our recycle bins and pick out things that apparently did not belong and instead of putting them in his "garbage" truck he would throw them on our grass. Every single week we had to pick up trash that this guy threw on the ground. On top of that this company has the balls to charge us for "excess" garbage when the lid was about 2 inches from closing. Luckily I have another company that also services my neighbor hood so these guys will no longer have my business. read more

I was not happy with Sanipac for the following reasons: 1. Residential pricing was not listed on their website. You can only call or email. 2. Calling for residential service has a hold time of 15 minutes or more. 3. They do not offer bi-weekly service, sometimes they will, but will cancel shortly after and place you back in the weekly cycle. I moved to Lane Apex, and was pleasantly surprised to find out that a live person answered the phone in less than 3 minutes. They also offer bi-weekly service. We scheduled two drop boxes through Sanipac and were charged at the time of rental. On the day of delivery, they did not show up! Their excuse was that we have a private bridge and company policy is that they do not cross any bridge without a city or county engineer certification stamp (which is not possible to obtain on a private bridge). We had told Sanipac about our bridge at the time we scheduled the dropboxes, and informed them that it had recently been certified by a licensed engineer for 25 tons. Sanipac should have asked for more information and then declined to rent (let alone schedule) based on their policy, but instead stood us up. We were forced to reschedule multiple subcontractors with less than 24 hours notice. Sanipac has agreed to refund the dropbox fees (we haven't seen the money yet), but we incurred other costs as a result of Sanipac's zero-notice failure to deliver. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Pretty much a disaster in this year's snow. Extremely poor communication. No one knew what to expect. Our glass still hasn't been picked up a week after the event. Our trash the same--and it smells foul. The recycling did finally get picked up. The neighborhood has looked like trash can chaos for over a week. When I was out of the country recently for a few weeks and missed a payment (after 20+ years of regular payments), I was charged $25 for a "restart." I wonder what my refund will be for Sanipac's failure to deliver service. read more

We have been a customer for many years, and the service has been acceptable over all, so perhaps the one star is overly harsh. There has been the occasional missed pickup, sometimes redressed and sometimes not. The rub was that they suggested I must have not but out thee bins on time, when in fact they were out the night before revealed their true attitude. However, the most recent disrespect was one too many. Sure, it is easy to understand that the snow made trouble for everyone, but once it cleared it is time to resume business. We were told to leave the bins out and willt pick them up when they can get around to it. So again, we are having to walk trash up to the bins each day, hoping that today they will come. But no, once again they have blown us off. After years of prompt remittance of our bill, we have had enough. They charge us the same whether they come or not. LaneApex came yesterday and picked up our neighbors bins while ours just sit. I have canceled sanipac and signed with the other guys, saving money to boot. read more

Although the company is nice and helpful, we constantly have to have the driver come back because he doesn't stop at our place, he complains about where we put the can even though we put it where he asks. I can't stand monopoly garbage services. I live in Veneta, I have no choice but to use Sanipac. Several years ago I decided to end my garbage service, I called three times trying to get a final bill, I got no response. I recently moved and decided to try garbage service again, well guess what, Sanipac informed me that they would even consider signing me up until I paid the previous bill. When I explained that I tried to pay the bill but nobody would send me a final bill the guy on the phone got really nasty. I owed about $50 which I gladly paid. I then signed up for a small 35 gal. can at $20.** a month billed every three months. I've been getting a monthly bill for $63.94. I dread trying to sort this out with these incompetent people. We need to get rid of these Government/private monopolies and introduce some real competition. read more

I'm a visitor to this state, and I just want to express my gratitude for this service. What a progressive state and company to provide doorstep pickup services to encourage recycling. I notice recycling containers are generally much larger than trash containers. Today, a man going through my recycling container before pickup this morning; I didn't mind. But, later what I did mind was that he left behind HIS trash with one bottle in my recycling crate! I went and walked the dog and when I came back expected to clean up after that man. my street garbage is every Wednesday and recycle is everyother and Wednesday I have to cans in my house one is separated with cardboard aluminum cans and other recycling materials the other is just basic garbage today was a recycling day so I put my garbage and recycling to the curb and the garbage was dumped like normal then 20 minutes latter the recycling truck came by driver got out of the truck started going through my recycling then put a pamphlet on the cab saying what is recycle able and what is not I spent 20 minutes going through my recycling bin and all of it was recycleable besides 1 glass bottle that must've got put in the wrong bin for when I called to try and get my recycling picked up the dispatch lady said the driver said he did not see my bin on the drive and that it would be an extra 20$ for them to come pick it up despite the fact the driver put a pamphlet on my can himself. read more
