Being new to the area we just picked the closest office. They had very flexible schedule and were very responsive. We were able to drop our taxes off, we're called when they were finished. Careless and arrogant and dismissive !!…read more Our return is really quite simple. We use a firm because tax preparation for speed and accuracy. Derek made a careless error with our very first return with him. Although we understand everyone makes mistakes, we don't understand how a firm that is supposed to be so wonderful could make such a careless mistake as it truly was careless! Furthermore, when we gave him the letter we received from the IRS he only offered to pay the interest we were charged rather than a portion of the $230 we paid him for services rendered. As the forms we paid him for were filed incorrectly, we feel it was only fair he reimburse more than a $33 interst charge. Which by the way, he didn't send us a check - he only offered to deduct it off of fees for our next return! We tried to negotiate this amount but he ignored multiple emails and ultimately made excuses and even stated how generous his $33 offer was! FYI: This firm had no policy regarding what happens when THEY make a mistake. An oversight on my part to not ask what their policy is. I assumed they like any reputable firm had a policy for such circumstances and also would have refunded part if not all of their fees. Buyer be ware of this firm - their motto "We inspire people to live their dreams through our commitment to serve others" doesn't hold true!
