Anker completed a large, multi-stage office build-out involving a variety of trades. They got it all done exactly right without me having to be involved at all. They did everything they said they were going to do in the time they said they were going to take. That seems like it should be a baseline expectation for contractors, but in my experience, it's a rarity. The best part is that I didn't need to manage any part of the process. I just showed up every couple of days to see the progress. Not to generalize too much, but I have found that folks in construction and trade jobs can sometimes have challenges letting women lead. I didn't experience any of that with Amir or his team. They were totally level with me. If a decision point came up, instead of making an assumption (aka guessing) and rolling with it, Amir pushed the question to me and talked me through the options. Their attention to detail was on point. I'm really particular and notice every small detail. At the end of the day, there were no issues big or small. The entire crew presents themselves as clean and well-groomed. Maybe it shouldn't matter, but I tend to feel like the way you present yourself in the world says a lot about how you approach things in general. And they were professional. They had the right tools for the job. The music was at a good volume or folks wore headphones. Paper put down to protect the floors. The mess was cleaned up every day. Total pros. Lastly, I totally respect the way Amir runs a job site and his team more broadly. We help our clients with planning the technology part of their office build-outs, so I've seen a fair number of construction sites. This was one of the coolest and calmest I've seen, again - professional. There was no yelling. I saw Amir giving constructive feedback and teaching his team along the way. I would recommend searching elsewhere for ANY service they provide. I wish I could post pics of the mess, the terrible landscaping, the overflowing garbage and invasion we've had to deal with.

When we did the walk-through, they let us know that it would be a 2 - 3 day project. It was finally complete after 33 days. To be fair, there were some really rainy days, but an inspector had to come out to our house 4 times. In the beginning, the communication was severely lacking. We ended up having to call them almost daily to get a progress report. Our front yard was torn up for SO long, it made us seem like the messy neighbors! And we didn't have any explanation as to why unless we contacted them!! Towards the end, they were MUCH better at communication, probably because we become the thorn in their side, calling each day. At the end of the project, I hoped they would give us some sort of discount for grossly underestimating the time it would take, but alas, they did not. They chose to argue with me which left me with a bad taste in my mouth instead of giving us a little bit of monetary compensation, which would have made things feel A LOT better than they did. In the end, our project looks nice! But it was not worth the hassle. Do your self a favor and DIY or hire a different company.
