Adrian and crew helped us out with a last minute shrub transplant. The thing was a pretty large, established magnolia shrub. They made time out of their busy day to come by, and did the job in under half an hour. It would of taken us the entire day, if we could even do it at all (the thing was stupid heavy.) I learned a lot just watching them work. We transplanted at the worst possible time while the shrub had started flowering, and we knew there was a high probability it wouldn't survive the transplant. However it's been three weeks and the shrub is blooming and alive, and we think this is largely due to how cleanly they cut the roots and how quickly and securely they got it back into the ground. During the quote, he recommended a slight changes to my walkway layout (vs the older one) that just made everything look alot better, he quoted me the minor added extra cost and I agreed on the spot. Great communication and he uses technology for quoting and invoice that just made the process easier vs constant phone calls. Adrian failed to deliver on what he promised. He quoted me on a project for my neighborhood and then the night before he was supposed to do the work (seal coating) and I had already sent an email to the community that he was going to do the work in the morning told me he couldn't do the work because it was going to rain two days after. I don't think he was being truthful with me because he was also asking for more money at the same time saying the job was bigger than he thought. So which is it the weather or the money Adrian? Provided a ridiculously high price for mowing the front of the house (we have to grass in the back) and also a very high price for planting 5 small bushes (one-gallon container). There has been a lot of water between us and our neighbors' home which also created a pond in our backyard almost every rain. We saw what a great job he did installing a French Drain last year at another neighbor's house, so we asked him to give a quote for the drain and to straighten out large decorative rocks on the neighbor's berm which had slid out and contributed to the problem. We received a satisfactory quote and his crew just completed the project. They worked tirelessly, even in the heat, and did a great job. Now we will have him regrade our patio and our front outside entrance, which includes taking out the pavers and bricks, putting down the sand, and replacing and sealing the pavers and bricks. We had him come to our home, he gave a proposal which we accepted, got a permit as needed and inform them we were ready to start our patio. He kept delaying the start of the project and at times never responded to text when a follow was done. Over a month went by and he never showed up to do the work, not even communicated he was going breached his commitment. I have dealt with various landscaping companies in the area. Typically I either don't get returned calls or have to constantly track them down or they show up later than expected. This was not the case with Adrian's. I called him on a Saturday with a job that needed attention right away. He was able to come by my place on Monday morning to give me a reasonable quote and then have his guys able to start working an hour later. Unfortunately, the day of the scheduled consultation he never showed. A few hours after the missed appointment I contacted them via email and received no response. A couple days later I tried to contact the company via yelp message and again no response. Update: Adrian contacted me after this review and came out to provide a quote. He also had an emergency which caused him to be out of contact. He came out on time and sent the quote appropriately. I recently moved to Illinois, in late 2021, and reached out at that time to establish landscape service through Adrian. He informed me that I would need to call back in the spring. I followed up in March and hired Adrian to do my spring clean-up and weekly mowing. While he was immediately responsive to the spring clean-up, he has been absent with the weekly mowing. There have already been weeks that his crew failed to cut my grass. I reached out to Adrian and received absolutely no response. After several text messages (our normal mode of communication) and a phone call, I finally reached him. He apologized and guaranteed that his crew would be out the next morning. Of course they no-showed, without a call or text. It is clear that Adrian has more than enough business. If you are not an established customer, I would suggest finding another landscaper. My neighbor had used Adrian Lopez of Adrian's Landscape to remove 2 trees and was very happy with his service. Adrian also does driveways and a few of us on my block were in the market for new driveways. After reviewing bids from 5 contractors we went with Adrian's Landscaping. They did quality work at reasonable costs which included a new concrete driveway, new front sidewalk to door, and also a new sidewalk around my house to my deck in back. They also buried 3 downspouts and added pop up's away from my home. Some landscaping had to be removed and relocated. The ground elevation around the new walks and driveway had to be raised. Grass seed was planted where needed. Adrian talked to me daily with updates on the work and addressed any questions and concerns I had. I also asked him to do a side project where my sump pump drain line was collapsed near the street. He dug it out, obtained the permit and inspection, and completed the work very quickly. All in all many details were addressed in a timely manner. Adrian works hard to get the job right. I saw him often on the job site with his men to ensure my satisfaction.
