I kind of feel like this is more a commercial store than a North Pole destination. Coming when its snowy, I expected a North Pole experience- elf workshop, santa, reindeer, lights, etc. Maybe November is not a good time. Inside is basically a store that sells christmas ornament/decor, I wouldn't say wholesale prices either. It has a few trees but its not heavily decorated like if you go to one of those nicer garden stores. Kind of like craft store vs cozy vibes. They do sell letters and nice person certificates that say the same thing, but kind of looks produced. I think i had high expectations given the drive out, but you find it really is just a normal city named the North Pole. I suspect it comes more alive in December. Probably good for kids. The only great highlight is the santa inside is so authentic, I literally thought he was a doll and the photos with santa are free. He is a nice man.

A great place for the family! Santa Claus House has everything you want for the holidays! Ornaments, hot chocolate mix, stockings, decorative items, apparel, fudge, Alaskan gifts, and much more! You can even visit Santa's reindeer visit the North Pole (Alaska that is). This place is known for their letters from Santa. You can have Santa send a special letter to your children and grandchildren! You can even order these online. During my initial check-in, I gave this place four stars, but decided they deserved five stars instead. Service by their staff is excellent. Admission to pet and feed the reindeer is $6.00 for children, and $8.00 for adults and they will give you more than one scoop of food if you ask them. You even get to hear about the timeline of when they shed their antlers.

Walking in the door and immediately seeing Santa made my day. It is everything I've always imagined the real Santa would be and more. There are no pillow in his suit. The beard is real. The eyes are twinkly blue, and the costume. He wears is very expensive. He was soft spoken and kind. I also FaceTimed my neice and nephews so they could meet and talk to Santa. It was a great moment. After seeing him and wandering the store listening to Xmas music filled my cup with joy. This an amazing place to visit even if you are just window shopping. It's bright, busy, and has so many different things to look at. I will definitely be back the next time. I'm in the north pole.

When in the North Pole, of course we had to stop by the Santa Claus house. I thought it was just a gift shop, but they also have a sweets shops, a meet Santa corner, and a North Pole postal station where you can send letters. The sweet shop sells an assortment of sweets including ice cream, customized sodas, fudge, and chocolates. I opted for the coco nutcracker signature soda (coconut, black cherry, coke) with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a piece of their moose drool fudge (caramel, white chocolate, marshmallows). My blood sugar was not happy. Don't forget to stop by the Antler Academy next door to see the reindeer!

A fun place to spend an hour to and an hour and a half at. They have cute gifts, fudge, ice cream, and even got to spend some time with the reindeer outside. Unfortunately, Santa is off during the week during the winter, so I couldn't get an early start on telling him what I wanted for Christmas. 2025 #16

What did you do today??! Hmm, I just woke up and decided to go to the North Pole. North Pole, Alaska that is. This cute little town is near Fairbanks and for sure the Santa Claus House is a must stop location. If you take a drive around the town you will see the Candy Cane Street lights and the rest of the decor. They really went all out with the theme and what's not to love about that! If you have kids, are a kid-at-heart, and love the Christmas holiday season this is the place for you. Technically speaking, everyday is the holiday season at the Santa Claus House. You can buy souvenirs, holiday themed decor to decorate your house and Christmas tree, toys, books, etc. There is a sweet shop indoors where you can buy chocolate treats and ice cream. I had a coffee ice cream in a waffle cone and it was really creamy. The flavor was not overwhelming but good. Adequately priced. You can purchase postcards and stamps for both domestic and international postage and send cards to loved ones. The cool thing is that you can postmark them with the North Pole, AK stamp. They also have Santa letters that could purchased and be sent to loved ones, also domestically and internationally. They have letters translated in different languages. If you want to purchase the letters and have them delivered during December they can do that. They also have Santa Letters for different occasions such as "mid-year" check in or for birthdays, or for adults, that could be sent at any time. Staff was friendly and helpful. Since we didn't come during peak holiday season or during the summer, Santa was walking around and sitting in his chair with no line to take pictures with him. I was lucky and was able to take a lot of pictures at different angles. Picture opportunities are free. There is sooo much to see here, so give yourself some time since when you first walk into his house, it can be overwhelming. Lots of parking, clean bathrooms. Lots of picture opportunities both indoors and outdoors. We didn't get to see or feed the reindeers that are outside, so check the times to also have the chance to do this activity.

Christmas 365 days a year. Who can go wrong. They have so many different Christmas decorations, ornaments, clothing, food, and you can even take pictures with Santa Claus. They also have a section where you can buy drinks and some delicious fudge. I got a cherry flavored Italian soda. You can spend more than hour there.

The only thing missing was Santa. We spent hours at the Santa Claus house! There was so much to see and so many unique items to find. One of our favorite things was writing a few postcards to send to our family in different parts of the state. There's a cute stamp you can use that lets them know it was sent from the North Pole. From magnets to ornaments and home goods, there's something for everyone here. My husband and I had a blast picking out little gifts for our family members. Like every tourist spot, there were items that were overpriced, but we were able to find a few treasures. The service wasn't great, unfortunately. No one greeted us the whole time we were walking around and when we went to check out, the young lady at the cash register seemed bothered that we were there. I actually purchased a few official Santa letters and requested they be sent right away...we never received them. I was asked to fill out a form and have no idea what happened to it once I gave it back to the cashier. What a bummer! My nieces would've loved it. Can't have it all, I guess... I was a little sad Santa and Mrs. Claus weren't there when we stopped in. It would've been fun to snag a few photos. The reindeer were cute to see and happily munching away. We were lucky enough to visit on a snowy day; plus, everything in town is Christmas-themed. Even the street lights are shaped like candy canes and it added to the magic. We enjoyed ourselves overall. Definitely worth adding it to your list if you're in the area.

So I brought my 10 ur old daughter here and lemme say this place is kinda awesome. We make it a tradition every year to get a new ornament and this is the place to do it. They literally have everything!!!!!! It's a bit overwhelming almost. lol but I'm a good way. The name is kind of deceiving because I thought this was an attraction more than a shop. It's basically a very large store filled with all the Xmas decorations and ornaments you can think of. Now if you go on certain days they do have the reindeer you can feed but the day we went you could only look. We did get to take pictures with Santa tho. If you have little ones you can actually send a letter from Santa to them which I think is kinda cool. It's definitely a must see kind of place.

While already planning a trip to Fairbanks, I found out about the Santa Claus House, which solidified my big highlight for the trip! Stopped by around noon and the place did not disappoint. From the second you pull into the parking lot, you know things are about to get magical and festive! There is so much to look at in the store: from knick knacks to toys to merch/clothing to your run-of-the-mill souvenirs. Also, make sure to try their delicious fudge! Their birthday cake fudge was amazing!! Pro-tip: get a hot chocolate to enjoy as you are walking around and shopping. It was hands down the best hot chocolate my friends and I had in Alaska... and dare I say, the best hot chocolate I've ever had?! It was perfectly creamy, chocolatey and just the right amount of sweetness. The real treat was being able to meet the man himself, Santa! Santa was such a photo and video pro, and truly made the visit a memorable one! His interactions with all of the guests/customers were top notch. Highly recommend a stop at the Santa Claus House if visiting Fairbanks!

We went bc we had extra time and it was the best time of our lives, we enjoyed the experience so much, just to be in the north pole makes you feel like a kid and been inside Santa's house was extra! They actually have a Santa clause in there and he is very lovely. Also they have little places to gran a bite which I loved, the whole entire store is very cute you can't skip to visit it.
If you're looking for year-round Christmas magic, the Santa Claus House in North Pole delivers pure holiday charm. From the moment you arrive, the festive decorations and towering Santa statue set the tone for a joyful, family-friendly experience. Inside, the shop is packed with ornaments, personalized gifts, and Christmas keepsakes from around the world. Watching letters to Santa arrive and seeing them postmarked from North Pole adds a nostalgic touch that both kids and adults will love. Outside, you can even visit the resident reindeer, making the stop feel straight out of a holiday storybook. It's a cheerful, unique destination that captures the spirit of Christmas no matter the season -- a must-visit if you're traveling through Alaska or simply want to feel like a kid again. read more
A fun place for children and adults who are kids at heart. There were many souvenirs to choose from, that were low, average, and high-priced. If you plan to stay for a while, there is a shop where they sell sweet treats and beverages which can be enjoyed at the tables. On the day that I went, Santa Claus was available for photos and he was friendly to my group and I. Even though Mrs. Claus was not there, I am glad that I have a photo with Santa in the North Pole. At the register, I appreciate how the female cashier noticed that there was a tear in our shopping bag and replaced it with a new one. It was a small gesture, but I love the cashier's attention to detail! Santa Claus House is open year-round except holidays and I highly recommend checking their website to ensure that you visit on a day that Santa will be there for pictures because he does take days off. Honestly, Christmas is one of my favorite holidays and I felt the magic of Christmas at the Santa Claus House. read more
Large store full of Holiday goodies. Loads of ornaments, decor, fudge & treats, toys, and (touristy) clothing. We picked up a couple of ornaments and tees...pricing was reasonable overall. I'm sure there's more to a stop here during the holidays, but it was still fun to wander through in March. read more

unfortunately on the day of my visit, Monday, Santa is not there. But the store has a huge selection of items. I visited in June, it was not too busy, but there was large number of people shopping that day You will find Disney items, humorus items, and classic items all in one store. As you walk thorugh the store you will see all the custom decorations and sections as you look for items for yourself and for others. There is also a section where you can get custom stuff made. Try to visit when you can visit Santa and the reindeers. read more

North Pole, AK. You think this is the middle of nowhere and there is nothing there, but you would be wrong! The Santa Claus House was a spectacular place to visit that took you right to the "real" North Pole (which isn't all that far away)! Wonderful shopping, wonderful displays, stuff for the kids (if you got 'em) to do, plenty for the adults to see, AWESOME coffee/snack bar. You can even train to be an Elf and spend time with the reindeer at their training complex next door. Great place with lots of history for you to take in! Get yourself here now! read more

Best hot cocoa on the planet!!! What a fun place to stop at. Being so close to a town called North Pole, we felt compelled to visit and are glad we did! Being -25 degrees Fahrenheit outside had us hustling from the car to the building stopping only briefly to take photos of the tree and Santa statue outside. We went straight to the counter and ordered some hot cocoa from a very nice young lady. The cocoa was some of the best I've ever had! Great value for the money! We then spent 30-40 minutes perusing their enormous selection of Christmas decor and even got to say hi to Santa! Some walls were adorned with Christmas letters children have sent in the past. So precious...! This is an absolute must stop if you and the family / friends are visiting the area! read more
What a fun experience! I was in town visiting my soon-to-be-in-laws, and was so excited to get to visit Santa right before Christmas! The Santa Claus house is truly lovely- there are antique toys, all sorts of gifts and souvenirs, and of course, Santa's workshop and Santa, himself! Meeting Santa was fantastic- he was funny and when I told him my mom's Christmas wish, he immediately recorded a video for me to send to her that was funny and kind and perfect! There is a fudge kitchen, a coffee shop, and an ice cream shop along with the ability to buy tons of treats to snack on and take home. The fudge was delicious as was the red velvet hot chocolate. I'm very excited to try the blueberry hot chocolate as well! read more

What a wonderful Christmas shopping experience and in such a wonderful place! Cody, Sooki, Nick, Betty, Tori, Audrey, Ryder, Joe, Mary, Carissa and Santa are the nicest people that really made a difference for us. The Christmas spirit exhibited by all was phenomenal. Cody made sure my veteran status was appreciated. The shipping department made sure everything that was bought arrived, as advertised and then some. Santa was perfect. We made a few visits here, while we were in Alaska. I highly recommend visiting Santa's House and the North Pole shop next door. Thanks again! VR "JJ" read more
North Pole is the "Home of Santa Claus!" Definitely a tourist destination, one of Alaska's commercial successes. The world-famous Santa Claus House is a year-round attraction and can't miss when visiting the North Pole. Outside is a huge decorated Christmas tree, the "World's Largest Santa," at 50' tall, 33-ft around the waist, and weighs over 900-lbs, and Santa's sleigh. Inside is an amazing collection and pieces of Christmas decorations, ornaments, collectibles, keepsakes, exclusive North Pole merchandise and made in Alaska gift items. I purchased a lot of bells so my luggage will be jingling all the way back to California. Towards the back behind the glass is Santa's elves workshop. Also, some of the children's letters to Santa were posted on a wall... worth reading, some are entertaining, some sad, and some went downright to the point and didn't mess around. LoL! Don't forget to take a photo with Mr and Mrs Claus. Finally, don't forget to visit with Santa's Reindeer Team before you leave. We came back on Friday for a reindeer feeding experience at the Antler Academy. Learned so much about reindeers. Review #3128 read more

We have been using this for years since a friend sent my daughters their first letters. And now we gift our friends' new babies with their own letters from Santa. Our children look forward to Their packages every year, even my 12 year old waits for her package anxiously. Our tree is dotted with the ornaments denoting name and year and this has become fun tradition in our family. read more

The Santa here was fantastic. Great real beard, beautiful Santa suit m, and great with the kids and playing the part. The outside decoration was also great. However the inside left something to be desired. Was just a big gift shop and would have been so much nicer to make it feel more like Santa's workshop. There is one little workshop area behind glass, but I feel like the entire place could have been designed like that. Seeing the reindeer was nice, they are beautiful. read more
Santa Claus House is located in North Pole, Alaska (no not to be confused with that other North Pole in Antarctica) on Saint Nicholas Drive. This large store sells all Christmas holiday items (snacks including hot chocolate, ice cream, fudge and candy canes too). You can also meet Santa here and take photos with him while you are here. This store is open year round so you can certainly enjoy Christmas in the summer, in the spring, basically whenever you want. I came here to the Santa Claus House with my husband on a rainy Sunday late morning, around 10:50 am. We waited in a short line to take photos with Santa and then walked around this very large store. I ended up purchasing a few moose antlers for our friends' dogs (not for our little girl dog because her teeth are a bit more sensitive and are not suitable for small dogs). Service at the register was friendly with the employee who helped us with our purchase. Although this is a tourist spot, we still enjoyed our visit and also liked seeing the reindeer and the giant Santa statue outside. The Santa Clause House is less than half an hour from Fairbanks and may be a good place to visit if you are looking for things to do (as there isn't as much to do in Fairbanks). read more

What an awesome festive place this is ! If you love all things Christmas-then this is your store ! We came in December so the grounds were full of snow. The large Christmas tree outside was decorated with ornaments, lights and it was covered in snow. There's a super large Santa Clause statute outside you can take a picture with. Once you go inside, you are greeted with a smile and can even take a picture with Santa himself. I particularly liked the fact they had a decent amount of Alaskan made items for souvenirs. The prices were about what you would expect. If you are in North Pole Alaska, you should visit this store. read more
If you're in Fairbanks, you HAVE to go to the North Pole and see the Santa Claus House. It's Christmas every day there! You can buy fun ornaments, and even letters from Santa that are mailed out in early December to the recipient of your choice. You can even meet the Mr. & Mrs. themselves for a free photo opportunity when they're not in the toy workshop. There's ice cream and coffee available, and the largest Santa statue on the front lawn. Next door is Antler Academy where Santa's reindeers reside and you can feed and pet them for a small fee. My son in his wheelchair couldn't go into the main pen, but was able to go in to the side yard and get a one on one meet and greet with Dasher. Fun fact - Did you know that reindeer don't have front teeth so they can't bite you? You have to feed them pellets by pouring it into their mouths! Super friendly staff and a super fun experience! read more

Cute place. I loved the mocha and fudge inside at the sweet tray shop. Santa clause was there, there was a display of where toys are made.. tons of ornaments, trees, Santa a, elves, clothes, trinkets etc. tons of places inside and out to take pictures and selfies. My family and I stopped here for some souvenir's and gifts for our friends/ family, overall a good experience! The store has a LARGE collection of tons of different nick-nacks and decor, we ended spending about an hour here! The staff was very friendly, and we even tried out the in-house fudge and coffee store! There we got the peanut butter coffee (a bit too thick for our taste however we were warned about that beforehand by the barista), a hot chocolate (lovely) and some of their fudge! Overall a good experience, only downside would be this store is pretty pricey! comment from my mom "for anyone who loves christmas this is an absolute must" read more

we had no idea we were near north pole, Alaska, and saw the Santa house, so we stopped in. I got to see Santa's reindeer, and he went inside the shop and bought some souvenirs for our grandkids, the store was absolutely stunning with all its Christmas stuff. And there was a Santa in the corner and I went and sat on his lap, he made a really sweet video for my grandkids. They were pretty excited to get that video. I thought it was really cool, nice place. They had a 50 foot Santa, and a huge Christmas tree out front. If you brought your kiddos , they can send a letter to Santa. read more
Visited the Santa Claus House while in the area visiting family. We liked it so much we went back 3 times. On our first day Santa and Mrs. Claus were inside to take photos with! The absolute gold standard of tourist traps. Certainly worth a trip, even in July. And don't miss the Santa sculpture towering above it all, looking down on humanity with a disapproving look. Visiting the Santa Claus House is the only entertaining thing you can do while in North Pole, since the North Pole is a simple neighborhood of houses, that will not stick in your memory because there is nothing to do there besides look at residential homes. The Santa Claus House is a giant store where you can purchase a variety of Christmas decorations and children's gifts. Even some Halloween items were still available a week after Halloween passed. Santa is off on Mondays and Tuesdays, so bring your kids to meet Santa Wednesday through Sunday. We visited on a Monday, and the store was fairly quiet. You can mail a letter/postcard domestically and internationally, to get the North Pole postage that will look cool for kids. A variety of pre-written letters from Santa are available for $9.99. Pretty funny to send a hilarious letter from Santa to naughty adults. Staff are helpful and non-intrusive, so you can browse the store for as long as you want. A café is available on premises. You can purchase fudge and hot/cold sweet beverages to put you in the mood of celebrating. read more

A lot of the pictures look like a gift shop, is this an over glorified gift shop? Or is there more to this than people are posting, also does it cost anything to go in?
Kinda. There's a drink spot inside and a Santa picture area (not sure if year-round but was there in late October). He was walking around the store getting his own drink. It's free to go inside. It's a cute little area. Feels like a must hit place… Read more

The Santa Claus House in North Pole, Alaska, is cool! If you love the Christmas, this is an absolute dream because it is Christmas year-round! There is an actual Santa Claus sitting inside the shop year-round ready to greet Inside is a Santa's workshop display, a dedicated place where kids can write letters to Santa, and a massive selection of ornaments and Christmas toys. The magic continues outside with a giant Christmas tree and a towering, iconic Santa Claus statue. Pro tip: While it's open all year, visiting in March is perfect. There's still winter snow covering the ground, which adds a genuine, magical "North Pole" atmosphere that you just can't replicate in the summer months. And it's not as cold as December. The giant Santa statue is American road-trip history. Towering at nearly 50 feet tall and weighing roughly 9000 pounds, it is supposedly the world's largest three-dimensional Santa Claus statue. Whether you are traveling with kids or just want to feel like a kid again, this is a fun stop. read more

The Santa Claus House may be a bit of a tourist trap, but it's absolutely worth a visit, especially if you have kids. The shop is adorable, filled with a wide selection of ornaments, festive clothing, and even a sweet shop to satisfy your holiday cravings.
