The tour was well-paced and took us to many fascinating locations throughout downtown. We ended the tour at La Posada de Santa Fe, and maybe it was just my imagination, but I could have sworn I felt the spirit of Julia Staab on the stairs outside the "murder" room! My husband and I have been on several ghost and haunted history tours across the country, and this was by far the most informative and enjoyable. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Santa Fe.

He is a first-class tour guide. He is accommodating and caring but mainly, he has a deep commitment to making sure you have a great experience. He has a vast knowledge of the history of Santa Fe and does a terrific job bringing that history to life. He has a 'flair for the theatrical' but I mean that in the best sense: he wants to make the tour vivid and memorable for you. My wife and I learned much from him. The air in Santa Fe is fabulous and one a 2 seated open air, human powered tricycle this is the only way to go. I stopped by one and struck up a conversation with 71 year old peddle/driver, Pete, by asking if Pedicab was hiring. Great guy, originally from the NYC area and transplanted to Santa Fe only one years ago. His knowledge of the area, rich history, and it's people was most impressive. We talked for roughly 20 minutes and his vim and vigor for life, health, and continued gathering of knowledge was inspiring. Imagine, 71, yes a former biker & runner, but able to a 21 geared tricycle with as much as 350-600 pounds of cargo is jaw dropping. Remember, when you accept a ride, please, generously tip these bubbly tourist driven enthusiasts.

I always see the Pedicabs in downtown San Diego riding around but had never once bothered to ride…read moreone. Well, I crossed that off my bucket list, while recently in Santa Fe, N.M. Once I checked out of my hotel, I needed to kill some time before I got on the Rail Runner train. I had seen a colorful Pedicab earlier when I took the city tour and it looked like fun. So after that tour and a visit to the Crepes Shop nearby, I was feeling pretty good but not like I wanted to hike all the way down to the Santa Fe Depot for the train. That's when I saw a blond guy sitting in a Pedicab parked in Santa Fe Plaza. I asked him how much he charged and it was one dollar per minute, That seemed affordable so I hopped on. Soon we were passing through the beautiful Plaza and on our way through the Railyard District. It was so nice taking in all the sights from an open air carriage. The driver was nice enough to stop while I admired and took pictures of a church with a lovely rose garden. Soon enough, we had arrived at the Depot and the ride was only $12. The driver had used his little step stool to help me get down and forget to take it when he left. So I called the Pedicab office and told them I was leaving his step stool with the Tourist Info office there. The gentleman did come back to fetch his step stool. This company does an excellent job, hire wholesome, honest-looking drivers and give visitors a fresh air way of enjoying the sights. According to their website, they also do "tours of Canyon Road Galleries (many of the drivers are artists), the Railyard District, and tours of nightlife hotspots (some of the drivers specialize in nightlife). Tours can be of any length you choose." Santa Fe Pedicab operates from 9 am to 10 pm seven days a week from May to November. Call for a reservation or ask your concierge to make arrangements. Usually there is a Pedicab somewhere around the Plaza area, which is where I found mine. 5 YELP STARS for environmentally-friendly pedal power in beautiful Santa Fe.

A friend recommended this tour, and after walking around Santa Fe all day it was nice to sit in the…read moretrolley for about an hour and just listen to info about the places we had walked by! We were sent from their parking spot by the Loretto Chapel to the pickup point across from the La Fonda hotel by a staff member. Being late afternoon, it was very hot, and the fellow in the trolley wasn't engaging with any of us in line on the sidewalk until I spoke up and asked, "Are you boarding yet?" and then he kind of snapped to and started selling us tickets, and we all were able to sit down in the shade. Tickets were $25 per person for a 1.25 hour tour. At first I thought it was just going to be "this building is real Adobe and this one isn't" because there was a lot of that to begin with, but the tour encompassed architecture, history (including some of the grittier aspects), popular culture, and local information. It covered the area around the Plaza as well as Canyon Road and up toward Museum Hill. A worthwhile tour especially if you are needing a break later in the day.

We learned a good bit about the area's history and specialness too. It was $25 per person and our guide Dave was very nice and knowledgeable. Christian, who I believe owns the business (?), is very friendly and directed us to a tour leaving outside La Fonda hotel, because he said there weren't enough people to run twice the number of tours (we intended to take one of the three daily tours outside Loretto Chapel -- but the only ones running at this time are outside La Fonda. So he walked us right over to where the other tour was leaving from and that was very nice and helpful. The only complaint about the tour is they _pack_ that little bus full. Depending on the size of the other people in your row, you might be really squeezed and uncomfortable the whole time. I was wedged at one end for the entire trip, and my whole side and arm are very sore now many hours later. It's a couple narrow steps up to get into the bus (hard to describe -- just trust me!) which is fine for any healthy person with normal mobility but an older person or person with any little challenge with their mobility might struggle! I'm still glad to have taken the tour, but maybe they can break out the second tour bus and not pack us in quite so tightly? Really enjoyable and interesting though!

The Plaza is beautiful, full of charm, there are many historic buidlings around like the Palace of the Governrrs, many museums with architecture alike a pueblo, cathedrals in Spanish Revival sytle, great shops, art galleries, restaurants. This is the kind of place with so much personality that is hard to describe. They have events here often, market, the place is lively with lots of cultural activities to discovere, Georgia O'Keefe Museum is a must, but there are so many other great museums and small galleries that you can pop in any time. Santa Fe might remind you of a cute town in Mexico but it has its own original features, it is such an unique place!

Our tour guide was Samantha and she did a great job. They have done a beautiful job maintaining the site and hiring local tribe members. Overall, it was great to walk through the ruins and while terrifying to get to, it was so cool to see the cliff dwellings up close. Definitely have to be moderately fit to make it down the hill but they do have the option to take the tour van they use to get us to the top back down. That said, if you don't climb down you miss the best part of the tour. I recommend wearing clothes that you can rinse off easily (I had an athletic skort on which was the perfect material to dust off).

She was someone who resisted being defined, and while a mover and shaker in the 30's in Santa Fe, she also shared a cat with Georgia O'Keefe! There is so much history that is within this park to include Native American dwelling and Spanish church remnants, and even an area where the Santa Fe trail passed by. The 2 kivas you can climb down inside are a bonus, fun and interesting. Not too far away is also Glorieta Pass, the site of a American Civil War skirmish which has a monument. There is plenty of easy parking here as well as an overflow area. Definitely worth the stop if you are passing by and no park entrance fee.
