Let me just say how amazing everyone in their Service Dept was this morning! I limped my truck into their service lane after having a large screw/bolt in my tire that ended up coming out just before I got there. Everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful in this situation. I wish I could remember each of their names but just know EVERY one of them were amazing and helped me in a very timely manner. They didn't have to go to the lengths they did, but they still made it their mission to get me back on the road. My mom's car was there for 2 months with very little communication. They continued to put "new parts" in it running up a bill with not knowing what they were doing. It was completed and they claimed to have called telling us it was ready but no one answered. They had several numbers and there were no missed calls or messages on any of the numbers. The service manager is extremely rude and unhelpful. We were told there were many cars there longer then hers. When my mom picked it up they had said it was road tested but within a mile of her leaving it shut off at every red light. This means it's not repaired and actually very dangerous. Especially for a 88 year old woman. Shame on this place. Don't take your car there. They do not care and will lie and lie and lie. We consider this elder abuse and can't believe this place is still open. read more

BEWARE Took my car there for diagnosing a check engine light. Charged me $184.47 to connect their computer to my vehicle for diagnostics. This process should have taken 10 minutes or so. They also charged for "shop supplies" when no shop supplies were needed. They estimated $2,690 to complete the repairs. Their equally certified competitor 3 miles away is doing the work for just under $1,400. read more

hondakee BUYER BEWARE ! ! I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership. After driving the car for 3 months we changed the oil. Immediately afterwards the engine started knocking. I took it to a different dealership for repair. Turns out the car needed a new engine before I bought it. An entire engine.Santa Fe tried to cover up the knocking sound with an oil additive. When I brought this to the VPs attention he stated they don't use additives. Once he finally looked at the "inspection " report he started reading Amazon online reviews about the additive thus proving my point about the engine knocking. When I called the VP, Mr. Waitcus, to discuss it, he was incredibly rude the whole time. Talking over me every chance he could. He was Very misogynistic, condescending, deceitfuland rude. When I expressed that I felt like I got scammed, He started violently screaming at me until I had to hang up. They never did an actual inspection in the vehicle. Just flipped it and sold it. So buyer beware ! You'll likely have to spends thousands on repairs and be treated in the worst possible way if you complain. This is not a reputable dealer at all. This is a step below a buy here pay here. On top of all that, they covertly charge an extra 1k for not financing through them. We just happen to catch it. Run far, run fast! Dave, The finance manager, discriminated against me on multiple occasions. He even hung up on me for opposing the dealerships and his unlawful discriminatory acts. I tried calling back and the operator refused to provide even his first name & put me on hold endlessly. I tried calling back, and I got no answer. They were now ignoring my phone calls, because I opposed their unlawful acts which is retaliation and prohibited under the ADA. I tried calling back a few more times to no avail. I then went to borrow my neighbors phone to make sure that it wasn't a problem with my phone etc. and see if they were just ignoring ME. Somebody answered and I asked for the general manager, and for their name. They refused to give me the general managers name despite me asking four times and then hung up on me. So if you want to be abused, mistreated hung up on and discriminated against this is the place for you. I will be contacting the department of justice, the Florida commission on human relations, the state attorney general, the DMV, to file complaints and looking at ALL their public records, and inspecting all their sales to look for violation of state law and federal law. I will also be contacting the US Attorney General to file complaints against this dealership. This dealership appears to have a pattern of practice of abusing their customers, being rude, unprofessional and discriminating against individuals with disabilities. I will also be contacting several investigative news agencies, including independent journalists. Stay tuned on YouTube for the story. Luckily, I have an audio recording of the phone call because I'm disabled and require Recording due to Disability. I, of course, advised Dev of this, as he granted my verbal request. After putting me on hold and coming back, he asked me if I was recording, I said, yes, as I indicated at the beginning of the phone call and expressed as to why, and that it was due to disability. The call recorder also announced that the call is recorded and does so intermittently throughout the call. He then stated that he was "uncomfortable" with my recording, and that he would not "allow" me to do so, and then hung up on me. Since he and everyone at the dealership was ignorant on the ADA requirements, and their obligations, and my rights, I was coerced to attempt to advise him that he can't deny my request, especially once he granted it, and only someone with spending and decision making authority can deny it, and that it must be in writing, demonstrating how my request fundamentally alter is the nature of the service program or activity, and that they, the dealership, must furthermore, offer alternative effective accommodations, so that to the maximum extent possible, I have ready, full, equal, independent, and dignified access to the services and the opportunity to participate in and benefit from the same. I may be releasing the audio recordings to local news media to independent journalist on YouTube, to the state attorney general, to the DMV, to the department of justice, and to the Florida Commission on human rights. I will also be reaching out to the Institute for Justice, the Pacific legal foundation, respect of Florida, and to other civil rights attorneys. I also will be reaching out to a prominent auto fraud attorney in Broward County to consult with regarding investigating this dealership for violations of state and federal laws and for filing civil lawsuits. I will also proceed by filing a federal lawsuit in federal court against this dealership for violations of the ADA. This dealership has irreparably harmed me, intentionally knowingly and willfully. Ladies and gentlemen, know your rights. Always invoke the ADA early and often. 28 CFR 35 applies to all governments 28 CFR 36 applies to all businesses that are open to the public. 42. USC 126 in general is the ADA. There is also section 504 of the rehabilitation act which applies to individuals that receive federal funding, and then the fair housing act at the federal level that applies to local governments state governments, and nearly all landlords and housing authorities. Bought a used truck. They changed the price at signing. A couple of issues were supposed to be fixed. I took their word that they would follow through on the repair agreed upon. They gave me the runaround and never addressed the problems. I've been using Sante Fe Ford for service now for 10 years. I have had three different cars during that time as well as three Supef Duty diesel dually trucks I use to haul larger horse trailers. They have been reliable, courteous and incredibly reliable for me and my wife. Scheduled service as well as unexpected issues. I recently dropped my 2018 C Max off with no appointment because the AC fan started making a loud racket. They took care of the issue and had my car back to me in a few hours! I've been meaning to share my satisfaction with this dealership for a while. I had as many as 18 Ford trucks on the road in my business and have had experiences with scores of service departments all over the country hauling horses and equipment. Went to have my car fixed where they charged me 150$ of labor to replace a 2$ fuse. Said they fixed all of my issues but I try and use my turn signal and it doesn't work despite saying it did on my receipt. Went and bought a 2019 f150 a couple days later the check engine light came on I took it to O'Reilly's to have it checked out and they said that the catalytic converters are clogged up . This was the best car search and purchase I've ever had. I always research thoroughly and had researched every car buying website there is and was using Carfax.com so I could look at the Carfax reports on all cars and found a car that was the lowest miles and lowest price and met all of my criteria on the Carfax report at Santa Fe Ford. We drove from Jacksonville to Alachua and it was a beautiful drive in the country that was very relaxing. We saw a beautiful Sunset while there. Ford warranty issues. Purchased a slightly used F-550 flatbed from a dealer in Georgia I live in South Florida and the truck broke down in Gainesville on my way back home. I was frustrated with the breakdown but Ford confirmed that the truck was under factory warranty and all repairs would be covered under warranty. It has been more than six months since I brought the truck to the Santa Fe dealer they continue to tell me that the part is on backorder and have absolutely no solution for me. I have never received a phone call with an update in the six months since I've had the truck there I always call them.. The truck is not drivable it needs a new motor. They've never offered me a loner or any other assistance. I asked them consider taking the truck in for trade or offering any other sort of assistance. NO HELP. I've been in contact with Ford Motor Company their claims department same customer service from them they always tell me they're going to help and end up doing nothing at all. I would think twice about buying a Ford product because if there is an issue trust me they will not be there for you at the end of the day they do not care about your ability to run your business or get your family to where they need to be. read more

Overall experience was good. Joey was friendly and not pushy and pretty responsive through the process. Cars priced fairly, so not a whole lot of negotiating room. Got good value for our trade in. We looked at an Acadia and Explorer and went with the Explorer. The business manager Jackie was awesome and ended up able to get us a better rate than we had come in with. Cons: Took over 3hrs just to finalize deal and do paperwork and disorganization with follow up - contacted by 5 different people about the same inquiry and contacted twice AFTER we had already left with our new car This was one of our better experiences buying a car and felt good about what we paid. Recently purchased a 2019 Explorer and what an amazing experience from start to finish! So nice that they're open on Sunday now. My husband and I went to just look and nobody pressured us into buying, they just told us the information we were looking for. We thought things over and came back the next weekend and the manager remembered us by name. We test drove a couple vehicles and said we were torn between two and that the difference maker was going to be final numbers, so they calculated everything for us. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE. We were sold a lemon a few months ago. We purchased a GMC Sierra, the following week the engine light came on. We took the truck back they looked at it, blamed it on a few recalls and said it seemed like a GMC problem. We got the recalls fixed and the engine light came back on. A month later, a fan wouldn't shut off. We took it back they changed the oil, a month later the engine went out and the transmission. The manger Jason(the name he gave me) was very rude, dismissive, and racist. He said they weren't responsible because the truck is used and we would have to pay them $7,000 to fix everything. He yelled at me over the phone about how they have attorneys on stand by for people like us. The crazy part is I have coworkers who have had similar experiences. read more

all caps because i am trying to warn you now. i purchased a 2020 ford explorer with 5 miles on it in november 2020 from santa fe ford. overall buying experience with them was great... until....i had the car merely a month and statred noticing major changes when my vehicle shifted. i was on the interstate and it literally was on cruise and the whole car jolted, slowed down then caught back up. proceeded to take my vehicle in to get it assesed, the claimed it was a recall issue and would be months before they got the part to replace in the transmission, they stated it was fine to drive at this point so i continued to use my vheicle. then in the meantime of waiting for such part, my windshield wipers completely stopped working while i was driving on the interstate in rain at night, i ran off the road, got nails in my tires!!!! i sat on the side of the interstate for an hour shutting my car on and off trying to get the computer to reset for them to work and finally they came back on. i took it to the shop for repairs and they claimed there was no issue with it, they were not at fault for the nails in my tires and sent me on my way. fast forward 2 weeks or so... same issue again with the wipers, sends me on my way claiming they replaced the "switch" and it worked only temporary... and still no update on the transmission issue. so we continue, finally called me in to fix the transmission issue, had my car about 2 weeks. so.. i got get it back, make it home safely and pull my car out the garage the next morning and there is transmission fluid all on the floor. i was so nervous driving from jasper fl to alachua not knowing how much fluid was left, but no other local fords could get me in and as a mother i needed my car asap. (they did provide rental, but when i brought it back with less gas in it then when i left with they made me pay them cash to fill the vehicle back up, so unprofessional especially when i had to drive 100 miles just to take the car back and forth there) soo..... i take it back to santa fe ford and they claimed the left something loose etc... fixed it. no more leaking. so were good... thennn... the wipers go out again.... take it back, they said they didnt have time and that their system was down.. turned away again... then the next time i took it i spoke with a man from finance and he said that since we were having so many issues he was going to make it right and just let us trade our car for another car similar. we finally felt some relief, only to find out the cars he wanted to trade ours for didnt have the same packages, and miles were way higher. basically trying to screw us over. so at this point we agreed we just wated to trade for a 2021 ford explorer. we made arrangements to speak with someone in sales again and sat down with them... haha... soo....... we paid nearly 35k for a brand new vehicle we didnt even get to enjoy because of the hassle.. and they offered us 28k for our vehicle on trade towards a 2021 ford explorer......... screw this entire dealership. i was livid... mind you i had 7k miles on my car, but im not stupid.. we put 5k down and traded my 2013 explorer in on the 2020... that had nearly 2k equity in it, we didnt know at the time, but now that we hired a lawyer we know. so from november 2020 - june 2020, almost july i have been in a constant battle with this dealership. they dont give a damn about you, just your money and what you can offer them and their familys table!!! not to mention everyyyy single time i called i was on hold 47 years with the rudest customer service (besides one lady in service) so... june 2021 - my lawyer settled with ford coorporate to buy back my vehicle. it was a lot of work, but we figured it out together. they are giving my down payment back, equity from my trade and every payment i made on the vehicle. i did not have to pay the lawyer, ford does. do your research and find a local lawyer if you experience these same issues and be sure to document/photograpy everythinggggg!! save all repair records!!! never ever agin will i deal with this dealership!! i didnt write all this for nothing!! be smart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i hope this helps someone! :) read more

Never never take your car here!!! They told me my gas pump was going out and that they had to mess up the drive shaft to drop the gas tank to change it. Was going to cost over $1500.00. Well I was lucky and knew a truck driver coming back to Illinois. He loaded my Escape on his trailer and took us home. Come to find out my car has two gas pumps. The one that needed changed was on the motor not in the gas tank. So they were going to charge me over $1500.00 and not even fix the car at all. If I could give this place a -5 stars I would. Got my car fixed for $600.00. You've been warned they will screw you if you let them!!! read more

I haven't bought a new car in 45 yrs. My best friend said that Ford was a good buy So i went in and bought a 2018 Ford Escape, Though it was over 17 miles from southeast Gainesville to Santa Fe Ford. All work was done here. When a check engine light came on, I brought my SUV to Paul in the service depart-ment . After he had it checked out, he told me I needed a engine! What? with only 18,500 miles, Ouch! Paul told me I would not have to pay. So I got a loaner SUV. Left the Escape with Paul. When I got home my Family was surprised what happened? So over 3 weeks later, I called Paul, he said my SUV was not ready yet, cause the guy working on it broke the front wind -shield and new one had to be installed. So after a few days I called Paul and he said come in tomorrow, cause he wanted to make sure the SUV was com-plete. So next day I came in. Turned in the loaner SUV. Picked up my Escape, got about a mile away from Santa Fe Ford. When all of a sudden, loud noise, Something was scraping. I pulled over, looked underneath? So I drove little more. Scraping noise, sounded like brakes. Checked the brakes , they looked ok. Looked way under the SUV, saw plastic dragging very low. So I drove back. Paul said, gosh! What now? I told him I wasn't trying to give him a hard time. Told him plastic is hanging very low. He takes it to someone who put it on the rack. They repaired the plastic sheath under the bottom. On the way driving home I heard some ticking sounded like from the new motor and my mpg was only 21.8. I don't drive fast. I'm 73 yrs. old So I called set a new appointment with Paul. So I bring it back about 3 days later. Told him about the ticking and the poor gas mileage was 21.9 . He test drove the Escape, said he couldn't tell where the ticking was from and the SUV was getting normal gas mileage of 33 mpg. So I get another loaner car. Drive back home. My wife said, what happened? I left the Escape with Paul. So after few days I bring back the loaner car.He said he didn't know where the ticking was coming from? I told him , when I press the gas pedal it ticks when I let off it stops. I said I think it is the motor. After arriving back home, my wife drove the SUV, she said it's still making the ticking noise and SUV was sucking up lot of gas. We saw a 2020 Ford Escape, that Santa Fe Ford had, saying it had few miles on it. We came over and test drove the 2020 Escape and wanted to get away from the Lemon 2018 Ford Escape. So we traded the Ford Escape in worrying about that Parks Ford would not accept our trade and no one else would either. After driving back we noticed that the jerking of the transmission. Some times it would really jerk Hard! There was much tire noise or something about the tire area. The radio would change stations all by its self Wow! The next morning taking my daughter to school. The back up camera would not work then it would, Then it would not work. We were driving along and bam! what a jerk we were worrying we might not make it back home. So I called and set up an appointment, with Chris in the service department. And I set an appointment with the loaner department, Drove over to Santa Fe Ford , boy what jerking. in the SUV. I told Chris there were 4 recalls on my 2020 SUV. He said he found none. I left the 2020 SUV with Chris. I gave Chris a paper showing him there was 4 recalls on my SUV I would of taken it to another Ford dealer, but after calling Ford Motor Corp. They said I had to bring it back to Santa Fe Ford. They said was a lemon law that if after 15 days or more. There was a buy back program. Which it applied to all Fords. Which could take up to 8 weeks to receive only what the Carfax stated price the SUV trade in value, not the retail price was. If we met all of the criteria . Maybe I would need a lawyer they said. So after 16 days at Santa Fe Ford being worked on. When we picked up the car was just the same. Chris said he could see nothing wrong with our SUV. He said the transmission didn't jerk with him. So we drove home and it jerked and made roaring noise. Was a Lemon. So when we knew that no legitimate dealer would ever take our SUV in for trade. Only thing I was thinking was, we needed a dependable SUV. We checked online and saw a 2019 Mercedes Benz GLA 250. Which had only 10, 000 miles. So we traded again with Santa Fe Ford. So happy to have a real car that worked and wasn't a Lemon. I feel that Santa Fe Ford is not capable of repairing some problems, with some Fords. Moral of the story If you want to buy a Ford don't buy a Ford , but if you do, don't buy one from Santa Fe Ford! I will never, ever buy anything from Santa Fe Ford. They have lost my business.
