The core of the staff was the same group that helped me years ago, and the whole team seemed to enjoy working together to help me get into the best car for me. From their helpful website I had already picked the car I wanted, and I was able to research its history from the Carfax info right on their website. Both times they gave me any info I wanted, but NO PRESSURE at all. Four dealerships in Gainesville had the car I wanted, same year, similar miles, so I could really compare. Magic Imports was $1,500 - 2,000 lower than everyone else, AND great and friendly service too! We've bought cars at some of the bigger dealerships, spent HOURS and my wife and I said at the end, "We should have just walked away - they added so much that we weren't expecting." NOT SO at Magic Imports - no bad surprises, just very helpful, smooth, fair dealing. I've been telling all my friends to go to them if they're looking for a great, fair deal on a used car!!

Brand new car supposed to have brand new discs for the brakes they resurfaced them and then when I got got it back six hours later after waiting there six hours nothing to drink nothing to eat six hours they didn't even wash the car when they were done I got it out on the freeway where it's a 70 mile an hour the thing still shakes they machine the rotors and they stopped the pulsing with the brakes but they didn't fix the vibration from the tire balance guess I'll have to go to Walmart will I ever go back there again no the people were snotty rude unprofessional incompetent and uncaring the mechanics are not the mechanics are worthless the sales people are un knowledgeable and the service personnel are rude.

He went to Paul West to get a car because their dealership caters to people with low and/or no credit and low income. Within 40 days, his touchscreen didn't work, his air stop working, and today his car won't even crank. Since we've had so many issues in such a short time, I didn't think it was being unfair to ask for his $3000 down payment back, and return the car. Mr. West again asked for a chance to fix the car. He refuse to give the money back, insisting that we allow him a chance to fix it. Unfortunately, we will have to take legal action as he did not take the opportunity to see what was wrong with it when it came to his lot. My son has lost wages, been stranded, and expected to ride around in a hot car in Florida during the summer (without no regards to how he has been inconvenienced). If you are looking to make a purchase with this dealer, be sure to have legal representation, as if you really need a car it may work against you especially if you aren't financially able to acquire legal services.

When I picked up the Jeep, I immediately noticed scratches on the hood and front fenders. I pointed them out before leaving and was assured they would buff out and that I would be contacted to schedule a repair. After I got home, I also discovered two deep chips in the hardtop that were not visible in the original listing photos. The paint was chipped down to the metal, raising concerns about rust. When I went to charge the Jeep, I realized CarMax had only given me half of the charging cable, making it unusable. Since they were closed for the weekend, I called Monday and was told they would have the correct charger ready Tuesday. Before sending my husband to pick it up Tuesday, I called to confirm. Chris, one of the managers, assured me he was looking at the charger while we were on the phone. My husband drove an hour after work only to be told by Scott, the salesperson who sold me the Jeep, that there was no charger and one would have to be ordered. The next morning, I called back to ask how a charger that supposedly existed the day before had disappeared. Chris then told me the charger had actually been there the whole time and that Scott had never asked anyone else if they had it. My husband had to make a second trip after work just to pick up something that should have been handled correctly the first time. I also scheduled an appointment to repair the scratches and chips before leaving for vacation. I explained that I live an hour away and needed the Jeep finished that day. I dropped it off at 8:30 a.m. and didn't receive a single update until 5:00 p.m., when they called to say it was ready. When I arrived, the Jeep had been poorly washed, the scratches looked untouched, and the chips looked like someone had colored them with a black Sharpie. The metal was still visible, and there was black paint smeared around the damage, making it look worse than before. I asked to be reimbursed so I could have a qualified body shop repair it correctly, but they wanted another chance. They asked if they could call me while I was on vacation to schedule another appointment, and I agreed because I wanted the exposed metal repaired before it rusted. Since then, I have heard absolutely nothing. No calls, no follow-up, and no returned messages. I can't reach the service department, and even the main CarMax line has been unable to get anyone in Gainesville to answer. Buying a vehicle should be exciting, especially after spending over 32k and purchasing an extended warranty. Instead, I've dealt with poor communication, wasted trips, inadequate repairs, and complete radio silence. I love my Jeep, but I cannot recommend the Gainesville CarMax based on the way I've been treated after the sale.

Unfortunately, the process failed from that point. Mr. Maddux became unresponsive and informing me that they were very busy. I must've reached out to him at least five times between Friday at 9 AM and Saturday afternoon. He told me that I need to speak to the sales manager, a person named Greg. I did speak with Greg and he requested photos of my car. The VIN number mileage the usual information. He provided a number so that I could text the photos. After several hours with no response, I called the dealership and got voicemail. Greg did call me, saying he would reach back out late Saturday afternoon. I made several additional calls to the dealership which went unanswered. I reached out via text message to Mr. Maddux late in the evening he did not answer, but respond to via text saying that he was at mass with his family celebrating Easter. I responded by letting him know that "Greg", said he will call me back and I have not gotten his call. Mr. Maddux's response was " I'm sure he'll call you when he can." I have to say I am very disappointed with my experience. I often read the reviews before deciding to deal with an establishment, and my experience is total opposite of the reviews I've read! I'm not sure. Maybe this is a one off but come this should not be happening. I'm sure the owner is not putting this out as their business model.
