It was done with great care, 5 weeks of uninterrupted work, with diligence and good spirits. Jeff and his crew showed up on time every day, worked hard, and left the work site in good condition at the end of the day. Every detail on the house was expertly addressed including not just paint but also carpentry, masonry, trim, and screen repairs. The cost of the job was that as originally proposed and never was additional payment requested. The team was very pleasant and seemed to enjoy their work. Jeff was careful to keep us updated daily on work progress and any issues that came up during the course of the project. Any problems were quickly addressed with a good solution. We feel like the Newlin Company worked on our house as though it was their own and we are so happy with the finished product.

We have several doors that will now not shut, peeling paint (never sanded or primed!) drips in the paint, chunks of debris in the paint and cupboard doors actually falling off. Not to mention painting over the adhesive left when he removed a dry erase board , and the mess that he made on my existing molding. No answered/returned messages after multiple attempts to contact him.

I painted over a smudged area on the wall and let it dry for an hour. I came back expecting to find a discolored grey patch similar to the one from a can I had mixed at a "big box" hardware store but it was completely blended into the older paint. The match was so close that I couldn't exactly tell where I had painted even if I turned the lights on and off. This was a pleasant surprise because I was about to give up and hire a professional painter to come in and do some patch up work after having failed twice to match the color. Thanks Regal. Short story: I was all around super pleased with everything start to finish. I hired Alex and his company to paint the trim on my very old house. He and his employees were professional and did a great job. Longer story: In my case I had to work backwards - I had a specific amount I could spend and asked what work could be done on that budget. Alex gave me a quote and all the expectations he laid out were honored. The work was completed on time and to the quality I was able to afford. When an unforeseen problem did arise (the windows on my house were in much worse shape than anyone initially realized ) Alex did a great job of explaining different routes we could take, the different outcomes, and the different process points. Having the choices explained was a big plus in my books as it allowed me to make the choice I was comfortable with. And I didn't feel pressured into any one specific option. Some people have said that by saying "to the quality I could afford" is another way to say they didn't do a good job. The truth could not be farther from that! I got exactly what I wanted and wasn't surprised by any extra fees or overages. The paint job is beautiful and it makes that house look great.
