He explained how to size the system for maximum softening while accommodating the available pressure from my well, required for backwash recycling of the softener and iron filter. He was very straightforward about the potential problems managing iron. The iron itself tends to foul valves. He explained how to monitor and avoid this. I have had previous water softener services that tended to over promise and minimize any future issues. This left me disappointed when the equipment had trouble. Phil took the extra step of clearing some of my faucets that had restricted flow because of iron buildup. Fantastic silky water this morning.

Second one told me I needed to replace my fiberglass shower and provided a written estimate of $6,885.50! Shawn Carter from Casco came out the next day! Wearing shoe coverings, which I REALLY appreciate, he took the drain apart through the access panel in the ceiling below, cleaned all the existing components, added plumber's putty, and screwed it all back together. It didn't take much to join but now trying to leave they want written notice and a 30 day termination. In this day and time we shouldn't be subject to this deceptive practice.
