The prices are SO reasonable, especially given that it's a "boutique" and my mind automatically goes a couple dollar signs up when I think of boutiques! I was truly shocked by the prices and how reasonable they are, even for the full-priced items. Not to mention their sale racks, in which things were even more discounted! The store is also pet friendly, which is a huge bonus because both my friend and I had our dogs with us! Everything in here was so cute and well curated - I truly wanted to buy so many things here! Instead of just having a "man chair" for husbands and boyfriends waiting while their partners try on clothing, R & P has a full oasis out back with a beautiful garden and a lovely little pond. It's a nice compromise since I spend a ton of time checking out every little nook and cranny of both floors of these partnered stores. They've remodeled a bit so be sure to check out the changes upstairs (they had an awesome selection of clearance clothing up there for 50% off on my most recent visit). Well I've been feeling like I haven't really been getting shoes that fit properly but also thought as I get older, foot pain and discomfort come with the territory. While walking around Holland, MI today my wife suggested that we stop by since we had nothing else to do but enjoy the downtown area. Cory met us as we entered and offered to help if he could. I had spotted a pair that I liked (color and design) and he asked my size. While he went to get them we browsed the store some. As we talked about different brands and which had the best arch support, he took me to school! I don't think I have had anyone measure my foot since my Mom took me to get shoes 40+ years ago. I've been buying the same size for decades now. Cory took several measurements and suggested that a different size might work better for me. He showed me how much things have changed since I became set in my ways. I tried on 3 different styles of tennis/ walking shoes that were nowhere on my radar. All 3 pairs felt light years better immediately. They all had a different feel about them in the way my foot seated in them, but all were extremely comfortable. Cory is trained to fit shoes correctly and I am so glad my wife suggested we stop. Yes, I bought all three pair and of course I wore a pair out. The two people I've dealt with for myself and my mom tried to size up by 1-2 shoe sizes. We bought the shoes for my mom because of a stroke and she kept tripping over them. Lol). It's nice to to have to leave my husband and dogs stranded on the boyfriend bench out front while I shop (although I don't think my hubby minds that much!) I'm a huge sucker for color and vibrant hippy dippy patterns, and Beach House definitely delivers in that department. I couldn't decide between two cute dresses on my recent visit, but since one of them was very fairly priced and the other one was in the half-off room in the back, I got to get both. La!
