Here's a good idea, start with greeting customers who are willing to spend upwards of $40k in your store. I tried to ask a question about a headboard and they just gave me a look that strongly suggested I was not to interrupt them. This place will never get my business. I don't care how well crafted or beautiful their products are.

I finally stopped into M&M, expecting the prices to be in line with the other stores and was surprised to find the same pieces for drastically lower cost. The owners of this place, Margarita and Manuel, are wonderful! I probably would have only bought a couple of things from the more expensive stores, but M&M gave me such good deals, I've now furnished my entire home with their gorgeous items and am buying more pieces for my guesthouse. Besides buying what is already in the store, as is, they have also painted and stained pieces to my specification and speciaI-ordered for me. I asked them to stain a double rocking chair darker than the ones they had and it's now the star of my living room! Plus, I've got so much more storage in my house now with the dressers, hutches, and armoires, and it's all beautiful! Since I'm a writer, I wanted a small desk in the nook under a window in my bedroom. They didn't have any desks in the store, but I gave them the nook measurements, and they took me out back and showed me some old pieces that needed work. I asked them to fix one up for me in a darker wood stain, and, now, have a beautiful little one-drawer desk that everyone says looks like it was built for the nook (for a shockingly low price). I am so happy with my furniture, I can't quit talking about it! Helpful hint: If you see something you want at one of the other rustic Mexican places, take a picture, then go to M&M and show it to them. They may be able to get it for you at a much better price. Highly recommend!

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest staff and had stellar service the entire time. They have a great selection of jewelry (mostly turquoise, but with a few other options too). The shop is expansive, with dedicated areas for different types of items. The designer section on the lower level was one of our favorites, and the upstairs furniture area was pretty cool too. We're hoping to pick up some pieces next time! We ended up snagging the cutest boots from the designer section. The prices were surprisingly reasonable, making this place even better. This shop will definitely become a staple for us whenever we're in town.

So I woke early to drive a bit to get there - a small town called New Madrid. I like driving the open road into nowhere. It's a cathartic experience for me because I am fiercely independent. And when I arrived, the tapestries were as beautiful as expected. Fine tapestries remind me of life. As life unfolds in real time, it's like viewing the backside of a tapestry. It appears to be nothing more than a jumble of thread--tangled, frayed, occasionally knotted, and seemingly random. Nothing really makes sense. But things are not always what they seem, as hard as that can be to accept. It's only when you turn a tapestry over that you see the art: the rich colors, the texture, and the patterns that can make a tapestry a thing of astonishing beauty. No thread of life experience --good or bad--is wasted because "the one weaving it together" knows what He is doing. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." ~Romans 8:28 At least that's what I would like to think - and try to think, although I have my moments.
