Visiting from Utah, our mall is pretty bad but this is 10 times worse. Before you even walk in it already smells like cigarettes and drugs. it smells worse then the Taco Bell bathroom. We were pretty much the only customers on a Saturday. the only other customers was a homeless lady with no teeth riding a bike into the store. It is so ghetto inside it is pretty much abandoned and soon will be a place for the homeless to sleep. there is no store options because most of them are closed. you feel like you are going to get kidnapped the second you walk In. I highly recommend never coming to this store if I could put 0 stars I could.

If you like shopping look elsewhere!!! This is a sad sad mall. All the stores are vacant and the anchor stores are pathetic. Sears, JCpenneys, Old Navy and a Dillard's. None of the stores are updated and it feels like I'm back in time. Why not 1star? With the mall being so vacant my toddler can run around like crazy without bothering anyone. There is no one here!! This is a great place for kids to run around!!

Mall overall is clean but over half of the stores are empty. Not worth the trip to shop in very few places.

Review Highlights - Santa Rosa Mall

Major stores are Jc Penny's, Maurice's, Sears, old navy, Charlotte Russ, a large shoe store and Dillard's(which I think is too expensive).

We went here because they have a water park in the center of the Station and it's a perfect place for little kids. The ocean was a little intimidating for my little guy so my cousin suggested Uptown Station. It's great! There are benches and a brick wall to sit on to watch the kids from the "comfort" of the shade. :) It consists of several fountains and water spouts that go off randomly so the kids get surprised. (And the moms get drenched when they try to fetch their kids...oh, that was just me...) There is a play-park on the other side - separated by the restroom building - but after a couple of trips down a scorching hot slide, we convinced Peanut to stick to the water. It's free and it's fun. Perfect for cooling off and perfect for kids who don't yet know how to swim. :)

It's a nice little walk around "outdoor mall" if you want to call it. Its very up and coming. It looks like they're trying to really develop this location with new shops and restaurants in this area. In the center of the parking lot area is a outdoor climbing park for the kids. It's about 15 minutes from Eglin AFB for all the new people, just to check out.

Today, I was looking for decorative items; preferably artificial plants, for a plantstand that I had just purchased through target online. I wanted to give a bit of color to my somewhat dark bedroom. While they had several decent looking potted items, the colors had already changed to the autumn colors which was not what I wanted, and the few that were greenery were moved around to a point that trying to figure out prices were annoying me. While I changed my mind about the plants, I was not giving up on shopping, because there are always items that I buy only at target. I found pj's just before the price change and picked up a couple of target gift cards. I was fine about the plants, but I did mention it to the young lady at the register. She was nice and explained that their job was to take care of the customer and that I shouldn't hesitate to find a target customer service agent and have them fix whatever problem there is. I knew that, but today I just wanted to shop and leave for my next stop. One annoyance isn't going to get me stop shopping at Target. I like the store. The people are nice and helpful. They usually have what I'm looking for and sometimes more. The prices haven't driven me out; not yet anyway; and I feel comfortable walking around their store. Trust me, feeling comfortable is a good reason to shop at any store that treats you right. There are no half stars when it comes to rating, so I chose 5; even though a more honest rating would have been a 4 1/2. It's a good store, and I'd rather rate the 1/2 star up than down.

I love Target because no matter where I go in the country the stores have basically the same layout so I can get in and out quickly if I need to. Grab what I need and head out. Kind of funny thing happened today. I owed $19.95 and I needed to break a hundred dollar bill so I gave the cashier a hundred and he was getting my change, he didn't have any nickels. He was going to break the roll of nickels to give me my 5¢ then changed his mind, put the nickel roll back and gave me 5 pennies. It struck me as funny.
