This park is adorable! The neighborhood it's in is adorable as well. Very nice place to take in the sunset I might add. There's a pretty large playground area for the children. There's a few places to hold parties and a basketball court and baseball field. I noticed there's also a bunch of kids that come to this park which is nice if you are bringing your own kids so they have others to play with. Also a great park to bring your pets so that they can run around and get exercise. I'll most definitely be bringing my daughter back when I'm in that area again.

I don't explore as much as I should around South Bay, but when I do it's usually to venture south of the border, ifyouknowwhatimean. We got a chance to visit with family and celebrate a kiddie birthday party. This residential park is nice. There are gazebos you can reserve by obtaining a city permit. There are other features, with the nearby bathroom being crucial since Mini-me has transitioned from pull-ups to potty training. The skate park seems like an afterthought, designed by someone who probably isn't familiar with the art. Hey, let's throw together some concrete blocks with reinforced metal rails so kids can do their grinding or whatever sk8r kids do nowadays. Such an uninspired space used for more loitering and less skating. Lots of space utilized for various activities at this park. Two full court hoops are available and there is a grassy field adjacent to the elementary school. There's also a baseball/softball field complete with backstop and grassy outfield. I don't know too many ball fields at neighborhood parks that also have extended outfield foul poles. Neato. The playground seemed to hold Mini-me's attention well enough. She's not ready for Mensa or MCATs just yet, but she was able to apply her whimsical imagination and enjoy playtime at the tot lot. It was fun watching her play along with the other children on another beautiful SoCal afternoon.

The space overlooks the water and is the first space you'll see driving up. It's a bit secluded from the rest of the park allowing you to have a more private event with your guests. We ended up having just 40 people attend our baby shower, but with the ample space, it allowed us to fully decorate the space and bring separate tables for desserts and welcome table. The stage space was perfect for the photo backdrop and everything came out so beautifully. Highly recommend this space for any events, even a small outdoor wedding. Check-in was super easy and we were allowed music, decors, and even alcohol on site. Some of us came an hour early to start the decorations and stayed an hour later to clean up, but you can access your space anytime between 9-5:30pm. Everything was perfect. Our event was only 4 hours so it was more than enough time to come early to set up and fully clean up after. Restrooms are super clean, park is well maintained with rangers on-site. Parking is $5 all day and plenty of our things for guests to do such as playground for the kids or the open grass area to run around in or nice hiking trails all around for a quick exploring.

When I was a kid most Easter's & Birthday parties were here. One park has a pier to fish the other has a loading deck for boats. When I was a teenager I came here as well but not for family gatherings but to hang out with friends. And it's a good spot to bring girls late at night & you know....play BINGO in the back seat :) the first park has alot of parking spots for that. Now that I'm a dad & family man I come again for birthday parties & also just to hang with family to grill & see the low riders on weekends. My favorite reason to come tho is to see the Sunsets with my daughters, have a late picnic, listen to music & just watch the sun set, love it. Me & my family's favorite park in the South Bay hands down. Now with the Gaylord Resort next door the park looks better & is extended. We will continue to go & see those sunsets & one day I'll bring my grandkids here too. See you soon J Street Park.

Of course the big feature of this park nice boat launching ramp. On my last visit I saw a squadron of pelicans fly past several times. Each time by the time I got my phone out they were gone. They usually do a good job keeping the grounds and restroom clean.
