Excellent experience!! My family and I checked out Santa's speedway in Irwindale,Ca on 12/24/2022. Yes, the race track transformed for a full experience light show. And, it was more low key on the night we went. Not a lot of folks out and about. But, we loved it. They had a snack bar food section. I heard that the hot chocolate was $12 plus. We skipped. But, we did have our own drinks and snacks in our bags. Although, we're not too sure if they are allowed in. Haha. Check in was pretty easy, they just scanned tickets and let us in. -holiday music -lots of spots to stop and take photos -old nascar cars decorated and named after reindeer -pics with Santa (extra $$) -few light tunnels -tractor trailer ride (goes through lit tunnels as well) -snow sledding ( 3 rides for $10) -fire pits (you can buy s'more packages) -shuttle that takes you from one side to other (we didn't use, it's very walkable) -snow globe you can walk into for photos 2 hours is enough for the total experience -take your strollers if you have little ones -lots of parking Have fun!!

This place put a good amount of effort into the light structures! There was a lot to look at and my kid was having tons of fun. We came 2 years ago during COVID, so we were excited to be able to walk around this time. If it wasn't so cold we would've stayed longer!!

Christmas light show from 12/1/2022 to 01/01/2023. 3-story ornaments. Dinner, snacks & drinks (libations & famous hot chocolates & coffee....much more. They had an area where you could make your own s'mores. A 4-story rocking horse Santa. The cutest thing.....race car reindeer stables. An 11-story Christmas tree. Pictures with Santa. A 35ft teddy bear of lights. 3 amazing light tunnels that the trams drive you through. Also a hayride experience was available. It's an experience to spend time with family or couples.

This place is so cute! There's so many beautiful display and it's such a hidden gem. Not busy at all during the weekday that we came. I loved our experience here.

We attended this event last night, on a whim. We arrived around 5:25pm for a 5:45pm reservation. For a first year attempt, it was okay. Our boys were happy to do something that brought them a bit of normalcy, so that made the trip worth it. If you're a local, bored, and have nothing to do, it's something to do at a reasonable price (compared to other similar events,) and that keeps you in your own car, socially distanced. Bu,t set your expectations low. If you're driving more than 30 minutes to get there, it's not worth the trip, nor expense. We arrived about 20 minutes before our reservation time and by the time we were scanned in and merged into the actual event line, it was exactly our entry time. However, by the time we finished the event and left, which was around 6:30pm, the line was HUGE, at least half a mile onto the freeway off ramp. So take lots of patience with you. Use the restrooms before the event and take snacks because, again, the lines are long and move very slow to get in, and to go through the loop. Because of the lines, we avoided buying from the event's concessions stand. There's really not that many light arrangements to see. It's pretty much just basic string lights around the entire speedway with clustered fixtures/arrangements. The highlight for us was towards the beginning (tunnel,) and the end (Reindeer Stables.) When you scan in, they give you a card for a scavenger hunt. We didn't do it, it's too dark to be doing that while trying to drive and actually look at the arrangements, while also rearing children. Because it's a loop, at one point it becomes redundant because you're stuck seeing the same arrangement twice. Because reservation slots are In 15 minute intervals, you're stuck in a gridlock of cars, so if you have an emergency and have to exit, there is no way out. 15 minutes between reservations is way too short of a time frame. The slots need to be at minimum in 30 minute intervals. Maybe next year they'll add more/better light arrangements, maybe have snack stockings, available to purchase online as add-ons, and made available for pick up at the entrance when scanning in. Also, maybe make it interactive. Possibly make the scavenger hunt card, digital so it can be done via mobile. Just small suggestions that could improve the event.

This is the third holiday drive thru experience I had the opportunity to attend and could have been better in my opinion. Went on Christmas Day, and it took about 30 minutes to get to the main entrance due to the traffic. They offer 3-D glasses for about $3 to "enhance" your experience, but we declined. They also gave us cards for a scavenger hunt. Some of the displays were cute, but I think that the available space could've been utilized for more lights, photo ops. Speakers were posted throughout the route, but if you had your radio on the station they say to set it to, you would hear an echo/delay playing the same music. I noticed that kids were standing or hanging out of vehicle windows and sunroofs, which was definitely a no-no, as we heard PA announcements saying not to do so. However, employees posted along the route did not enforce this as we saw the same children continue to literally hang out of their cars. One of my favorite parts was the "stable" area where "snow" fell, but unfortunately there wasn't much snow and we quickly drove by & almost missed it. Concession stand and restroom were at the end of the drive thru.

ALL THE LIGHTS WERE RED! SO DUMB. Oh wait, we haven't gotten in because they oversold the event and we've been waiting almost 2 hours. Anyway here's my view EDIT: once we got in it was quite pleasant. Pictures added.

This is such a fun event to brighten up this unusual holiday season! We got tickets for 5:30pm on a Saturday evening and we had no problem entering the venue. When you check in, they tell you to tune into an AM radio station that plays fun holiday music. There is also a scavenger hunt that you can do while driving through the speedway which my four year old niece really liked. Overall this was a fun and unique event that was fun for the entire family! Tickets are $59 per car and we probably were there for about an hour. If you go, I would recommend trying to get tickets for the earlier entry times since there was a lot of traffic on the streets when we left.

Christmas 2022 it's a park and walk around experience. It was a great time. I have to say that the helpfulness and politeness of every single staff member I interacted with really jumped out at me, great job! Kids loved the light displays, s'mores and snow sledding.

We went on Wednesday night 12/16. We did not have any trouble getting to the site, and it was a very brief wait to get inside. Our tickets were for 6 PM. We all enjoyed it, especially my four-year-old granddaughter. Santa Claus said "hello" to her at the end, and she was very excited. The tunnel of light was amazing! It was well done and worth the money. The first reviews posted here scared me, because of the long waits people reported to get to the venue. I definitely think weekdays are better, and it looks like the venue has made an effort to limit ticket sales. It was a lot of fun to drive on the speedway! There is a radio station you tune to when you get to hear Christmas songs as you go around. You get to go around twice. It took about 35 minutes to go through.

Went there after google searched for Christmas lighting. Didn't do much more research and popped in, paid ticket at the entrance at 6pm, no waiting at all luckily for us this year. Went through the whole drive thru experience in about 45 mins. Very nice lighting and good experience overall for us as a first timer. $75 worths the price in my opinion considering we didn't have to wait in line as others said.

COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this event. Some of the staff wears a mask. All…read morevisitors are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. There are some hand sanitizers available for visitors to use. This place is open and available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between visitors. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This event currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was here several months ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their event UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is pretty massive. When you enter the grounds, turn left. There you will be directed to pay for parking ($15 for regular cars - general parking, $30 for VIP parking, $23 for RVs and limos, and $38 for buses) and where to park. As mentioned by my excellent buddy, Justin, parking for handicapped individuals freaking suck. Whoever organized this event sucks. Handicapped parking is in lot 3, which is hella far away from the event. You would think it would be much closer to the event, but noooooo. Some idiot organized it to be like this. Why?!?! Please make the entrance closer to the handicapped parking lot in the future. That would make a lot of sense. They take cash and credit cards. Event: The festival offers immersive 14 - 17 century Elizabethan-era entertainment, jousting tournaments, artisanal shopping, and medieval food like turkey legs. The event itself was very fun and entertaining. I had a great time with my close friend. I highly encourage anyone who attends to dress up. If you don't, you will stick out like a very sore and ugly thumb. If you do dress up, costume weapons must be sheathed and peace tied. Also, wear comfy shoes. There is soooooo much walking. It's also hella dusty at this event, which is lowkey on point with ye - old England. To add on, when Justin and I attended this event in mid May, the weather was soooo on point because it was gloomy and overcast. This is exactly how I imagined old timey England during the renaissance. You can absolutely bring food and drinks into the event, but they cannot be picnic food, food that requires heating or refrigeration, alcohol, anything in glass containers, and coolers. You can bring water, but it cannot be opened yet. Or you can bring an empty reusable water bottle for it to be filled up at the event. There are plenty of bathrooms (porta potties and hand washing stations) at this event. Note: While at the event, we didn't see any refillable water bottle stations. Where were they hiding? Food: My bestie and I got the tri tip sandwich and french fries. Honestly, coming into this event, I already knew that the food was gonna be mid. Lmao I had low expectations for the food because I wasn't really there for the food. Plus, I guess this was also kinda lowkey on point with the renaissance era in England because food in that time period was also mid. Lol I was primarily there for the medieval vibes and jousting, which delivered in spades. I would honestly go every year just for the medieval vibes and jousting. Screw the food there. Anyways, the tri tip sandwich was overly priced with a meager amount of meat in the sandwich in a sad ass hot dog bun. It was more of a sad- wich. This is why I removed one star. Flavor wise, it was okay. My friend knows that I'm not the biggest fan of anything BBQ, but I'll eat it anyways. The fries that we got were plentiful for the price point and it was very crunchy. I was disappointed when it wasn't really salted, which made it taste bland TBH. I should also note that the tri tip sandwich and fries were cold by the time we sat down and ate them because we spent like 10 - 15 minutes walking around and finding a place to eat. Don't be like us. Eat your food while it's hot. Staff: The staff here are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum. Still, cash is king at this event. Many vendors only take cash, so bring at least $100 per person.

With the pandemic still very much so at large, we are very limited to these types of experiences, but Insomniac was able to pull this off, while still keeping everyone safe. The only downfall (and quite big IMO), was the wait time to enter the first weekend. We waited over an hour to enter GA, and eventually was asked if we wanted to upgrade to VIP for $50. I wish we were asked this in the beginning, but I wonder if they've been able to fix this problem since then. Also, if anyone has attended this and knows the link to the official playlist on Spotify, please send it my way! I'd love to bookmark this entire playlist to listen in my car.

Yeah, it adds up and it doesn't seem worth it, but if there's 8 of you in the car and split the tab, it isn't too bad. We came through on a Friday night. We opted for the VIP package and bypassed pretty much everyone (that line looked like a thousand miles long, so that alone threw all regrets, doubts and second thoughts out the window!) Bypassing the long line was one thing, but then my passengers' bladders decided to go in sync and in unison all needed a bathroom break BEFORE the drive. The VIP package came in handy once again - they have a separate set of porta-potties for VIP peeps, too! Needless to say, there were no lines there either. So, yeah, off to a good start. I didn't really know what to expect, so I decided not to expect too much. There were a lot of mixed reviews on Yelp (complaints were mostly about the cost) so I kept an open mind. THE VERDICT: Totally WORTH IT. This whole production was well put-together. It was beautifully created with a lot of imagination. The engineering and construction alone were astonishing, how long did it take them to put it all up! And I really liked that they coordinated all the lights' movements with the music coming off the assigned radio station (107.9.) And those souls braving the cold as they entertained us with their dance moves... KUDOS! (I didn't get to see what's in the VIP box but going by how each of my passengers went through it like the Tasmanian Devil, I'm gonna assume whatever was in there was fun!) If this is your thing, here are a few tips: 1) Entry is at Holly and Huntington NOT at the main entrance. If you do end up at the main entrance, they'll reroute you. No worries. 2) You can come through as early as 30 minutes before your scheduled time, but try to be there within that window just for the sake of being considerate. The whole thing is about 45 minutes to an hour, all depending on how slow or fast you go. 3) CLEAN YOUR WINDSHIELDS! I meant to, but I completely forgot. But even with the semi-dirty glass, it was still pretty good. 4) Sunroofs are great! I didn't have one (wouldn't have mattered if I did since I was the one behind the wheel) but I was sorta jealous of the peeps who made full use of it. I imagine that's the best way to experience it. 5) You are allowed to open your windows. Just watch out for fog machines... 6) Take your time and let it all sink in. If you can afford it, I highly recommend it, something cool to do social distancing style. It's an event for all ages and a great excuse to get out of the house more especially during these challenging times.

Thus, expectations duly raised, I went into the event with high hopes and an empty stomach. I was not disappointed. There were fifty booths this year, representing many a palate. From hotel cuisine to soul food, there was a stand to satisfy one's appetite. Did I go back to Paradis Gelato's stands twice? Maaaaaybe. ;) Thanks to this event, I had the opportunity to sample foods from many different eateries. Jake's Roadhouse, Sena on Myrtle, and Bottega della Sera were particular faves for me. There are many other places that I look forward to visiting. The live music was wonderful, everyone was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was just lovely. I really like the palette-like trays they gave us (there's a slot for holding your wine glass, too!). The Kiwanis Club did an excellent job organizing this wonderful event! Finally, this year, everything fell into place and at 5 pm on Sunday, with my pre-bought ticket in hand (you save $10 not buying at the door!), I was ready to taste and drink my way through the main street on Monrovia on Myrtle Ave with the over 50+ vendors from Monrovia and the surrounding areas. The entire street of Myrtle is blocked off from Lime to Colorado. Upon check-in (and checking your ID to make sure you're over 21), you're handed a reusable tote bag with a wine glass and reusable food tray (with handy slot to house your wine glass). The tote bag is great in holding coupons and menus and business cards handed out by the various vendors. Some vendors have storefronts right here on Myrtle while others are in nearby cities (like Duarte, Azusa or Pasadena) or can provide catering and private orders! You definitely will not go home hungry! A tip learned from this trip is that it may be worthwhile to do a walk through first to see what's out there and pick what piques your interest. Otherwise you'll be full before you hit the halfway point! Plenty of food and availability to go back for seconds on your favorites! The lines were very reasonable, with the max being maybe 4 people ahead of you in line. I love that everything is included in the ticket price so you don't even have to bring your wallet if you don't plan to bar hop afterwards! Other than the food, there's a live band (Time Bomb) providing some great tunes through out the night, in front of an area set up for dancing to work off the food. A photo booth was nearby as well to capture your picture pre or post food coma. I have to give major props to the Kiwanis Club of Monrovia for such a well run event. Tickets could be purchased online (with a small convenience fee) or at a couple of different Monrovia merchants in person (cash or check only). The day of the event, checking in ran super smooth and the Kiwanians were all over the event -- making sure trash cans weren't overflowing, providing bottled water at their booths, and making sure everyone was having a great time! If I wasn't already a member of another Kiwanis club, this event would motivate me to join their club! And of course, the proceeds of the tickets all go towards benefiting the youth programs they organize in the community. What a win-win situation -- the kids supported by Kiwanis wins and my tummy wins in trying out so much variety of food! Of course, I have to comment that I had no problems finding parking as well. There are plenty of street parking and spots at the various free public parking lots next to Myrtle Avenue. Just turn on one of the side streets one or two blocks before you hit Line or Colorado to avoid the buildup of traffic from the blocked off streets. As I was heading out, stuffed to the brim at 7:30 pm, I saw a sign saving the date for the event next year - October 15, 2017. You can bet it will be on my calendar and it should be on yours too, especially for any first timers!

I wrote this review mainly for the FIFA World Cup Fan Zone event at Whittiers Narrow Park today…read more I'm so glad I had the opportunity to attend the Official FIFA World Cup Los Angeles 2026 Fan Zone today! They had a giant 21' × 37' LED screen for the live viewing of today's match between Spain and Belgium , creating an incredible atmosphere for all the fans. The Fan Zone also featured cultural activities, live performances, DJs, interactive fan experiences, a community marketplace, and delicious local food. Best of all, I met fellow World Cup and soccer fans from different places, making the experience even more memorable. What an amazing day celebrating the beautiful game! We reserved our tickets on Eventbrite but we got there early with my friend, and even though we waited in line for more than an hour to get in, it was totally worth it! We were able to get in before it became too crowded. My friend also found us a great spot in the shade, so we stayed cool and comfortable with a nice breeze throughout the day. Meanwhile, many people who arrived later couldn't find any shade and had to sit out on the grass under the hot sun. We also received some awesome FIFA World Cup Fan Zone goodies, including a commemorative bracelet and a special team poncho. Such great souvenirs to remember this amazing experience! Only one con, they only have porta-potties, and they were very dirty. They still have the FIFA World Cup Fan Zone tomorrow starting from 12:30-9pm. I couldn't believe we were there for 5 hours. Congrats Spain advanced to semi-finals.

This takes place in downtown Covina. The main street (Citrus) and a number of side streets are blocked off. All of the classic cars are lined up along both sides of Citrus. Various vendors are located along the side streets, Beer and food is located in Heritage Park. We passed all the signs that announced preferred parking for $10. We found free parking on a street a few blocks away. The walk over was not too bad. Walking down Citrus you pass by all these amazing cars. It is mindboggling how many are here, My son-in-law has been to many car shows like this in Southern California. He says Thunderfest is the best show he has been to. It is absolutely amazing, There were a lot of people on the street but it did not hinder us from walking along and looking at the cars. Everybody seemed to be enjoying the day. There were no people behaving badly. There were a good number of families with small children here. We walked down one of the side streets and looked at some of the vendor booths. They had a stage set up on one of the streets, A band was playing classic Led Zepplin. It sounded pretty good. We went to Heritage Park and got something to drink. They had a number of vendors selling craft beer, They were also selling snacks and carnival type foods. We were here about three hours. We really enjoyed our time here. There was no admission charge. It only costs you if you buy food, drinks or whatever else is being sold.. This is great event and I will definitely go back.
