This movie theater is located at the Santa Anita mall or now known as the shops at Santa Anita. Parking is horrendous, especially during the weekends. You have to keep circling to find parking in the structure. You can order your tickets at the box office or you can order them through the app or online. There is a convenience fee which sucks. But if you go to the box office, there's no convenience fee. You're allowed to pick your seats now, which is nice because you don't have to get there super early to reserve seats. They also have a few game booths inside and a concession stand for food! read more

Not a good start. Got here 15 minutes early for my movie so why not get a cocktail? Because all four of the people behind the bar completely ignored me for 45-60 seconds and I was the only person standing there, that's why! Two gals off to the side were just talking, but directly in front of me a dude was apparently teaching the third girl how to make one of the drinks. I was three feet away from them and not a word! I would have been happy with a 'be right with you' from any of them. Nope! As I walked to my theater, I tried the drinking fountain-another employee walked past me and said (kinda mockingly) 'we turned those off during Covid' I didn't even try the snack bar for a drink because I figured it would be three strikes you're out! Tried to give AMC a second chance by trying out a different theater location. The bathrooms were TRASHED with no toilet paper. I've never been in a dirtier bathroom outside of a park/playground. Not sure what's going on with AMC in general cause this isn't the experience at other theater chains like regal (where everything is new, clean, renovated, better priced with recliner seating.) read more

I went to see Practical Magic 2 on opening day and received a free keychain. They had great concession collectibles like a cat cup, and blender. It was very tempting. I loved the movie, I think it was much better than the first one. We saw it at the Dolby cinema with reclining seats. The theater is well kept and clean. There was plenty of parking. read more

COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was here in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is massive since this movie theater is located inside a shopping center. Some parking spots are smaller than others so be mindful where you park. Establishment: The establishment itself is very clean, neat, tidy, and massive. This theater is pretty big. I think it has like 16 massive big screens in total. The bathrooms are cleaned every hour or so. The bar is small, but nice. The concessions stand is pretty well stocked with lots of yummy snacks for movie goers. Staff: The staff here are very friendly and helpful. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum. read more

I very rarely venture out to the movie theater but had to make an exception when Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die came out - bc quirky sci-fi movies are my fave genre and this one has Sam Rockwell in it for a flawless combo. Since our local theater in Old Town Monrovia shut down this year (2026), this AMC was the next closest choice. We had a decent experience and would come again.  We came the day after the movie's opening day - and since it was Valentine's Day, I expected the theater to be packed for all the movies - especially the new releases. But when I went to book online, there were many seats left open so we opted to just buy our tickets on site and save ourselves money by avoiding the online "convenience fee" of several dollars.  There was no line at the ticket counter when we arrived and booking with the staff was easy - however we had to make sure to ask if we could pick our seats - otherwise I think he would've chosen for us - so be sure to ask.  We grabbed a small popcorn to nibble on during the film and a bottle of water since they don't have any water stations or free water cups (but they should??) - the price overall wasn't too crazy but still overpriced imho.  The snack bar has an extensive selection of hot food, snacks, treats, and drinks - even ice cream bars and the hubby couldn't resist - he had to have a Starburst ice cream too and thoroughly enjoyed it lol. There's also a bar in the lobby but it was closed off during our visit. There weren't any special screen options for the showing like IMAX or interactive experiences - just their "signature LASER" screen. Seating was comfy enough and well spaced, the theater was very clean, the picture was crisp and colorful, and the sound was excellent.  Since I'm an AMC rewards member, we got a small discount on our tickets since it was early afternoon - it's a free program and worth joining, especially if you frequently see movies here. This theater is located on the second floor at the Shops of Santa Anita next to the Dave & Busters. There's plenty of parking but can be challenging during busy times since this is a very popular mall.  Since we had a little time to kill before the movie we had fun goofing around in Dave & Busters - it's a good spot for a fun date or family night out! read more

Came at an early time but too early where the tickey person told us she wont allow us to go in and out. We got nachos, hotdog and popcorn with the cute tom the lizard bucket. Since we were early we werent sure if we could enter the theatre room yet so we sat at the bar and ate. The guy ay the bar was nice and didnt kick us out. Nachos cant go wrong as long as the nacho cheese is hot, which it was. The hotdog was also a hotdog. Popcorn this time was good. We saw the movie 'Michael' this past Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at AMC Santa Anita. The theater was very clean, and the LASER projection and sound systems were excellent, making for a great overall viewing experience. However, the standard seats don't recline. It would be perfect if they upgraded to the comfortable recliners like the ones at the Puente Hills location, as sitting upright for a 2-hour movie gets uncomfortable. read more

It's big with 16 theaters showing the latest movies to enjoy in a clean and comfortable seats. They have a concession stand and a mini bar for movie goers. Movie ticket prices varies on the day and time. The off hours are usually least expensive ($13). Staff were great. Overall, I had a nice experience at this AMC location. I recommend it. read more

Came here on am Xmas evening to watch the third installment of Avatar. Not too crowded at all. Loved the film, by the way. I don't care what all these "critics" say. All of them lack real imagination to appreciate the world Cameron has created! Anyway, the screens are a bit on the smaller side, but it's clean, well-staffed and organized. Pricing for beveraged are as expected: expensive. And so are the tickets. But other than that, I really like how you can choose your seats when purchasing. I usually come to this theater because it's located in the mall, which makes it really convenient to grab food before or after a movie. I came here again today, but the experience wasn't great. There was popcorn all over the floor in my row, which made me wonder if they even clean between showings anymore. It felt pretty dirty overall. I also realized the seats don't recline, which was a bit disappointing--I guess I overlooked that before because of the convenient location. It's not the best movie experience, but I'll probably still come back just because of how convenient the location is. read more

One stop shopping at the Santa Anita Mall with even a Haidilao opening soon (October 2025); I wonder if they will do the Subject Three kemusan there? In the meantime, why not see a movie. I wanted Imax quality for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, so it was off to Santa Anita. Parking for a real infinity castle must be similar to parking at this mall -- lots of levels, crazy and designed by a demon. Allow extra time. This Yelper recommends parking outside at the first spot you see; going into one of the parking structures is truly an endless road to infinity. Nothing to complain about inside the theater. The food court is just below if you want to sneak some eats inside. Money to burn? More food offerings than ever inside. The impossible chicken nuggets are a hit, and you cannot beat the warmed-up pretzel bites. Theater looking sold out (like Demon Slayer was)? Yelp tip: the disabled seating row. Came to watch F1 for T-Mobile Tuesday $5 deal! I haven't been to the movies in so long and was super excited. Bought our tickets ahead of time so didn't need to go to ticket booth or kiosk. There are kiosks you can do self service which is convenient especially for introverts haha. After getting tickets, just go through entrance and show the guy there your tickets. He scanned ours and guided us to the theater. Super clean movie theater and not overly crowded on a Sunday night. There are signs all over the mall in case you get lost. I recommend parking in the structure next to food court, chicfila and bowlero on the second floor. It gives u direct entrance to the AMC. If you're coming from the mall, head to the food courts and go all the way to the entrance where you see the big Dave and busters and AMC signs (check images). Go up escalator past bowlero and you'll be at the entrance of AMC And ticket booths. They have concessions to buy popcorn candy and food if you'd like. They're pretty lenient on bringing your own food in these days. I remember having to sneak things in as a kid. Bathrooms are always busy so get there ahead of time so u don't have to go mid movie. They're pretty dirty naturally because of all the people using them. The seats are super clean surprisingly! Great job AMC Santa Anita. I just wish they were the recliners haha. Sound system was very nice. Also appreciate the large cup holders that I can fit my yeti in. Overall great experience and for $5 in partnership with T-Mobile Tuesdays, great deal. It's very spacious inside and the show rooms are cleaned adequately, and they also have a small section of arcade games. I came here recently to check out a new movie coming out called Bride Hard. I loved my experience here. I can't remember the last time I went to a theater to watch a movie but coming here made the experience worthwhile and grand. The theater is huge and once you walk in you feel the entire space open up with its high ceilings and great customer service that greets you in instantly. We wrapped around the right side of the hall to get to our theater and the movie was spectacular and the experience wonderful for being back in a theater. This theather is part of a grand mall and I love the community you experience entering the space. Can't wait to go back. read more

Awful online customer service. I've reached out on many occasions complaining about quality control issues surrounding the cheap containers they put their food in. Sauces keep leaking through or the sides of the flimsy box, and then it damages my clothes. They dont even have anything to seal the sauces to prevent these kind of things from happening. Theatre in the mall? Yes! Mall prices? *le cri* Parking is always in abundance at the mall (distance may vary). There is a wide variety of times and screenings here, which is always a plus. Of course, being 2025, ticket purchases may be online or in-person. I visited with a friend for the new Fantastic 4 movie in IMAX and we paid ~$25 for each ticket. Needless to say, the graphics and sound were amazing. The only disappointment was that the seats up front made it harder difficult to enjoy the movie, though not having the best seats in the house is to be expected for a last-minute impulse decision. The ticket purchase also came with a key chain, likely as a promo. read more

I've been coming to this AMC for so long since I was a kid. I have had great experiences and haven't had many negative ones. It's been a while since I've come to watch a movie since Covid and having a kid, I no longer have the premiere stubs membership (which the price is now more than it was before). Parking is the most difficult when the mall is busy, you need to be lucky sometimes to get great parking or circle over and over in hopes someone is leaving. We parked in the structure where amc entrance is and got lucky! You can still purchase tickets in person at the booth or via the touch screen tablets! We came to watch Wicked, we ordered tickets on the mobile app, we got to order our foods via the app, and the customizable drinks are always fun (just have to wait for the person before you to finish in case they are indecisive or takes too long). Butter station with containers and salt is the best, I usually use the machine every time I get popcorn, you can never have too much butter. I always buy large do I can ask for my one time refill after! The rooms are usually clean, I don't think I've experienced any dirty chairs or stairs in such a long time. Restrooms are the confusing part, due to the two entrances/exists you need to fight for a stall with the other side coming in especially when a movie ends and everyone rushes to the restroom. Overall I'm glad we came, great place still for movies and when you're hungry after and the food court is still open, you don't have to rush to go home. Dave and busters or Bowlero is usually open late so if the food court is closed that's another option. Or if your movie isn't starting yet you can walk around the mall to spend the time! read more

Red One was the movie of choice on this glorious day we call my Birthday!! Being an AMC Stubs member makes everything easy from ordering tickets to grabbing snacks on "The Go" the coolest is part was my Free Birthday Large Drink and Popcorn!!! The Staff at rhe snack counter were super cool and very helpful as both the kiddos wanted to buy the suvonier Popcorn bucket and Drink Cup. Once seated the movie was shortly on its way!!! Location of theater to the food court makes it an ideal stop before or after you eat!!! Just a Heads Up, there is a very active security gaurd in the lobby checking people for food from outside so if you grab a bite before make sure any leftovers are taken to the car or he will harasss you to throw it away even if the ticket monitor let's you in with it... read more

I want to say, the reason why im giving this a 3 statement rating was because my movie kept being interrupted by two kids who would not stay quiet. The adults didnt really do much to settle down their kids and at the same time, I didnt want to miss the movie. I bought my tickets through the app and placed a food order as well. It came time for my movie and my order was at the window ready for pick up. I got to my screening room, set my food order down and went to use the restroom. The seats dont recline and I feel this location needs a deep clean. The seats were filled with stains. I must admit, the sound system wasn't as loud as other theaters. It was nice not needing to wear my ear plugs. So that was a plus. In the end, I went up to a staff member in the front and asked what to do if something like what I experienced happen again. They said, I would have to get up, make the complaint, someone will go and talk to the guest(s) and could possibly remove them from the movie. read more

Its a movie theater inside of a mall. Enough said. The complex does contain one imax and a Dolby theater. Dolby is literally the highlight here. Other screens in the complex need remodeling seating options and upgrades. This complex isn't bad by any means. Just a little outdated in some areas. read more

Pretty consistent experience with other AMC Theatres in that I enjoy watching movies here. This particular location that is located in the mall on the third floor. So if you are visiting this location strictly for the movie theater at the park somewhere nearby and go a few stairs. I wasn't used to coming here so I got a little lost at first. I came here with a friend to watch Wicked on a Tuesday. The movie, the seating, the surround sound, and the theater itself was great! We loved the experience. The reason why this review is a one star is because of our experience after the movie. Note we watched Wicked at the 9:00pm showing and the movie was 3 hours long, so we got out at around midnight. My friend dropped his AirPods inside the theater and realized it like 10 minutes later. We ran back to the theater and saw a staff member still inside. We knocked on the door and tried to tell the staff member that we left something inside. The staff member refused to let us in to retrieve it. That part is understandable given they were closed and that it might have been a safety issue. However, we were tracking the AirPod case and it was moved. This means that one of their staff member who were cleaning the theater stole the AirPod case. We went back the next day and asked if they had anything in their loss and found and they said no. This is upsetting because if we were able to go to retrieve it, we wouldn't be out hundreds of dollars. They're hiring thieves here. read more
