One reason I wanted to see this movie is Mortal Kombat II is my favorite video game (SNES) version of the MK video games. The best place to see an action movie is on the massive drive-in theater movie screen. Not Imax, etc. So we went here. Another great thing about drive in theaters is you can bring your own food and you can have privacy with your date inside your vehicle, if you know what I mean . Just have privacy glass. Because a family of kids can be parked next to your vehicle. If you want, you can bring chairs and sit outside your vehicle and watch. Which is also a great choice. Especially if you have kids. They will love sitting outside. If you do sit outside, bring a coat, blanket, etc. It gets cold at night. The concession is cheap af and not like walk in movie theater prices. For example, their large popcorn is huge. Yet its only $10 with taxes. We got ours with extra butter. They offer a lot of other good stuff too at great prices. But we only wanted warm popcorn with extra butter. I saw some raggedy ATM machines in there. Not sure if concession got them there so you can use cash to buy food. But I didn't ask as I already had some cash on me to buy popcorn. So make sure you bring cash for concession as well. Make sure you vehicle radio can tune to 90.1 FM and you can leave it on without it draining your battery and without parking/headlights being activated. It drives us movie goers crazy when some foolish person will turn on their headlights while everyone else is trying to enjoy the film. Also, if you need a radio for showing, you can buy one from them for $20 at concession. Great experience here. I love this place. Like I said, I havent been here in like 6 years. Last time I was here, one ticket paid for double feature. Which was a steal. Because after Mortal Kombat II, I was looking forward to seeing Michael again. Which we already saw at a walk in theater. Screen resolution is great - even on a Smokey Fire day at 4:30pm the LED jumbo screen is clear - only a few night dark scenes fade out a little during the daytime but not a big thing. Everything else looks fantastic on the large screen even during the daytime. Sound is through two stations on your car stereo or you can also stream through your phone if needed from their website. They even do movie previews for about 15mins. All the covid precautions are put in place and well managed. Vehicles are even staggered and given plenty of space to get out of your vehicle to stretch if needed. A few even parked backwards to sit in the back of their open suv areas. Security staff riding around on bicycles and also to answer any questions. You can't beat this activity for $35 with two or more people while the theaters are still closed. They have a big grill up front where they cook the food and it smells sooo good, you can't miss the place. This swap meet is pretty big, lots of stand and aisles to walk through. I bring a cart with me because I know I'm going to find lots of items here and it helps to have something to carry it all. The live music is a nice addition to this place, it comes in handy to go take a seat if you get tired of walking around and want to take a break. We politely explained the issue to the manager and asked if we could either move to different seats -- even less expensive ones -- or receive some type of accommodation such as passes for another movie. Unfortunately, the manager refused to help in any way and would not issue a refund, exchange, or even offer courtesy tickets. For a theater that markets itself as a luxury experience and charges premium prices, I expected much better customer service. Other theaters like AMC are usually much more understanding and willing to work with customers when issues arise. Instead, we left feeling frustrated after paying for a movie we never got to watch. Tickets are bought online and range in price. Astro turf seating is $13 per person or $20 for two. No car parking is included (so you have to park outside the event) and you have to bring your own chair or rent one from them. Early Bird Car Entry + Driver is $28 ($20 for the car fee, $8 for the driver). Additional passengers are $8 per person. VIP is $75 and covers 1 car and 4 people for front row seating (just behind the astro turf area). Doors open either an hour or an hour & a half before showtime. When we scoped out the place, there was a sign that said exactly when the doors were going to be opened in the driveway. Since we had time (we were a wee bit too early), we went around the corner to get some grub. When we came back, we were second in line roughly a half hour before opening. Not too shabby and I definitely recommend showing up early to get a good spot (unless you're a VIP fancy pants). The line formed shortly after and wrapped around to Central. Pro tip - don't be a jerkasaurus and try to cut in line! The employees do notice anyone trying to pull a fast one and will make you go to the back of the line. Electric Dusk Drive-In is located off of Central Ave and California Ave in the old Sears parking lot. You cannot turn left into the parking lot on California! You have to enter from Central so that you turn right into the lot and don't block traffic. It was entertaining seeing so many people not grasp this simple idea. Once inside, the employees will scan your tickets and direct you where to park. If you want to back up and watch from your trunk, tell them and they'll help you out. If you're worried about your car battery dying out - bring your own radio or you can rent a transistor radio from them. If you listen via your car radio and it dies, they'll help jumpstart your car after the show. For restrooms, they provide two porta potties in the back side along with a hand washing station. If you're feeling munchy, they have a concession stand near the entrance but I'd encourage just getting your food beforehand from any eatery around the area (The Great White Hut is directly across the street). If you're thinking about trying Electric Dusk Drive-In, stop thinking and just do it already! They have a wide variety of movies to choose from (some are double-features) so you're covered no matter your taste of genre. It's such a fun nostalgic night and I can't wait to go back!

All in person with proper social distance protocols, yet still very fun! The entire staff was engaging and kind. Alex in particular had us in tears just checking us in! CEO Ashley runs a fantastic event and was even kind enough to set up a photo op for my new Fiancé and I. I cannot thank them enough. I'll have that special moment forever and it's all thanks to Outside Cinemas.

Had the rare chance to grab a Toy Story 5 movie poster that wouldn't be out until June 19th! Such a cool parting gift. Sad to see this location leave especially since I have their Movie Pass but I guess Glendale is where I'll go now!
