The cashier can speak a little French and English, the service can be a bit slow at time especially during lunch time. They provide a piece of beeper, it flashes when it is your time to be served. I got the poke bowl and it is so good and so fresh! I saw how it was made and yes, they don't put all their ingredients on their counter. They cut it one at a time, so it will be fresh when you get it. Nonethless, this little hidden place is a hit in the neighborhood. They caught on before the Yelp community.

I'm glad delivery made us branch out a bit because we will definitely be frequenting J'aime Sushi even when the lockdowns are over!

All restaurants have been faced with this, in addition to labour shortage, and it has certainly been a challenge. Restaurants have to decide how best to manage increasing costs and must find a good balance between price increases and adjustments to their menu that result in lower input costs. Le Kioko I'm afraid, has missed the mark. I didn't do a detailed study or anything, but my feeling based on our last couple of orders is that prices at Le Kioko have not risen that much. Usually this would be a plus. However, in this case it is a minus, as to compensate there has been a significant decline in quality. I appreciate that the restaurant is trying to keep price increases to a minimum, but when it has a significant impact in the quality of the food, in my opinion this is not a good trade off. I'd much prefer to have paid more for my sushi and enjoyed the meal instead of saving $20 and not enjoying my dinner at all. The sushi at Le Kioko use to be good quality, but the last couple of orders have been very disappointing. Rolls were loaded with filler such as penko and often the fish was scarce. In particular I noticed that in items that were tuna based you could hardly find any tuna at all. I hope that Le Kioko reconsiders their strategy and brings the quality of their sushi back to where it once was, even if this means higher prices.

It's on the external side, so you don't have to pay a fare to access it. They are only open weekdays and only until 5pm, and always seem to be busy. They frequently have line ups and have raving reviews on many different platforms so I really wanted to try them out. I initially wanted to get the triangle kimbap and asked them if they could make me one without sesame seeds. They said unfortunately they could not because they already mixed the rice for the kimbap and the sesame seeds are in the rice now. However, I could get the bibimbap and they could make me that without sesame seeds. I had just wanted a snack, but I did want to see what the Lee N Kim hype was all about so I agreed to a bibimbap (yeah, I know, twist my rubber arm, lol). I got the fried chicken one ($12.95) because I love Korean fried chicken. The fried chicken is cut up chicken nuggets!! I had the saddest face when I realized this :( It was processed chicken meat. I was so disappointed. And the nuggets weren't even crispy. The other ingredients were fine though. They use purple rice and it was quite tasty. The bowl had lots of other ingredients: edamame, kale, cabbage, carrots, oshinko, and zucchini. I got the "spicy Korean sauce" (gochujang) on the side. Had the chicken been real Korean fried chicken made of real chicken meat and not processed chicken meat, it would have been a respectable meal. The staff were really nice and they even gave me a reusable tote bag for my takeout. And I love supporting small independent businesses, so it pains me to give them a less than stellar review, but I need to give my honest opinion and the chicken nuggets really put me off :( Everyone else seemed to be ordering the triangle kimbap and not the fried chicken ones, so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.
