My regular osteo treating physician at Sharp recommended accupuncture. I've had accupuncture before, with little results. However, that was not with Dr. Shani and I was not consistent in my treatments. After 3 months of weekly appointments, which concluded in September, I am still feeling 60% better. Now, for those of you unfamiliar with the aches of aging, this is miraculous. Osteoarthritis is not a wound that "heals," rather a constant, nagging friend that keeps you from your daily activities. To have a 60% reduction in pain is better than most over the counter NSAIDs, without the nasty side effect of destroying what's left of my kidneys. SHE IS A TRUE PROFESSIONAL and her practice is a gift to those of us in the east county area. If you have considered accupuncture before, or even had treatments somewhere else with so-so results, please consider seeing her. Fair warning: consistent treatments lead to lasting results. For example, today our massage got interrupted 2x because Daniel kept leaving to help people that came in to buy gift certificates for the holidays. So the massage was only about 45 minutes due to interruptions. Last time, massage was only 50 minutes too because they had another appointment that entered the lobby too. They should consider hiring a 3rd person for the desk that can answer calls & take care of payments. Our search for a new massage place continues.

So, I was curious and certainly looked forward to another way to heal this tennis elbow. John explained the whole process when I got to his office. He was very thorough and answers all my questions.
