I was able to schedule a last minute appointment with Elijah today! I've been in the er, urgent care and the doctors because of the pain I've been in the last 6 days. Elijah was a godsend today! He was able to loosen my muscles and I even regained a lot of the movement in my neck and shoulder! I was nervous because my back has been sore to the touch! But Elijah was gentle and effective in providing me some much needed relief! I've been going to Joel's clinic for years and have rarely been disappointed but Elijah knocked it put of the park today! I just had not only the most amazing massage but the best massage I have ever had by Rana at Joel's. I have always been very happy with all of the services I receive here as everyone is lovely and knowledgeable and friendly but Rana literally deserves 100 stars. Tried everything (including visits, X-rays, and referrals from my primary care doctor) but nothing helped. After just a few visits with Dr. Travis I'm nearly pain free 24/7. I cannot recommend Dr. Will Schlesinger enough! Joel's Clinic was basically on a list of providers I could see for acupuncture with my insurance so it was a shot in the dark. And I lucked out becoming one of Dr. Will's acupuncture patients! He has a calming presence but still knows how to joke around and is very personable. The most important thing is that he is immensely well versed in his craft of acupuncture but also holds an immense amount of knowledge when it comes to the body overall. I do believe he holds a Bachelor's in addition to his acupuncture doctorate. At this point in time, due to a combination of orthopedic intervention and acupuncture, my back pain is resolved. However, I recommend him for any and all pain as he has an answer. As others have said, I always leave feeling like a weight has been lifted off of me. Joel himself is also on site frequently and is a pleasure to speak with. He too has a calming presence and really cares about his business. I know this should be a given but sadly it is not always so but the place is spotless, from the front desk, to your private treatment room, to the restroom. Do not hesitate to schedule with this practice as I find it very doubtful that you will regret it! read more

Kat may have literally saved my life. My story: I went to Joel's Clinic for pain on the left side of my neck. I had throat cancer 7 years ago, but thought it was from the radiation I had. My oncologist scoped my neck and didn't see anything, so we wrote the pain off as just a side effect. I went to acupuncture with Kat for the pain, and told her my story. She told me that she really wished I would keep looking into it, and have a CT Scan, so I would know for sure in case it was something serious, and if not, it would at least give me peace of mind. I took her advice, and had the scan. Turns out, it was stage 2 squamous cell carcinoma esophageal cancer. I am incredibly grateful to Kat for making me see that I needed to have the scan. I might have gone for a month or longer, until the pain was unbearable, and the cancer spread. Good news is that it hadn't matasticized at this point, so the prognosis is good! I'm in chemo and radiation now, and looking forward to a clean PET Scan in a few weeks. Thank you Kat!! My family and I are forever grateful to you. read more

The second time Abby massaged me was much better that the first - but I learned that was my mistake. The second time I communicated my needs with her.
