Sapan's photography on our wedding day far exceeded our expectations. Although we had planned for an outdoor garden wedding, the weather could not have been more miserable the day of! It was cold, rainy, and extremely windy, yet Sapan took truly amazing outdoor photos. He has an eye for capturing moments in an artistic way, and his ability to adapt with the weather was amazing. At one point during our photos, when I was getting especially frustrated with the weather, Sapan handed us an umbrella and told us that, "the rain is part of our wedding day, so we are going to embrace it!" My favorite photos of the day are from that very moment he took of us under the umbrella. Sapan's laid back style allowed us to feel comfortable and natural throughout the day. He delivered the photos less than a month after the wedding (a month earlier than expected!) and his editing style is beyond perfection. I would give Sapan and Marici Photo a zero if I could. Our family hired Sapan to photograph my sister's engagement party. On the day of the party, Sapan barely took any photographs during the event. Rather, he was spotted by the bar hanging out and people watching. When we kindly asked him to take photographs of the party (which we were paying him to do), he seemed very uninterested but followed orders half-heartedly. Another weird thing, he felt the photos he was taking were becoming repetitive (indicative of his lack of creativity) so he suggested he leave the event after 2.5 hours when we had agreed upon a 4-hour time frame. He offered to only charge a prorated fee, which is nice, but the whole situation is quite unprofessional. If the service was the only problem, I may have given a higher rating, but the photographs themselves were terrible, to say the least. Many of the pictures were out of focus, taken from unflattering angles, and did not have the creative edge that was represented in his online portfolio. My sister and her fiancee were crushed with the results because they solely relied on his photographs to capture the event. They couldn't even select one frame-worthy photo from the entire album. Overall, we were very disappointed and would not recommend this company. read more
