I just got married this past Saturday March 29th. Honestly I wasn't planning on hiring a photographer, I never budgeted for one. I thought that photography was completely out of our budget. We planned on utilizing a QR code. We knew everyone attending would have a cell phone, and most cell phones have incredible cameras attached to them. I saw an Ad on Facebook for Jolie Images, it was incredibly affordable. I thought it was a scam. I did research on the company and found out it was comprised, and owned by all females. I loved what they stood for. I decided to book them for my wedding. I contacted them and they were incredibly easy to deal with. My date was available so I put $100 down. They allowed me to pay what I could afford, and then pay the balance prior to the wedding day. I requested a female photographer. They have both male & female photographers. I ended up with Joanna, this was such a blessing. She took complete charge and suggested that I do a first look. This was my 2nd wedding and I didn't want to have anxiety or be nervous. Joanna knew exactly what I wanted and eased my anxiety. My first look had laughter instead of tears, since it was done, prior to me walking down the aisle. My husband and I were able to spend precious moments, prior to our ceremony getting all the butterflies out of the way. We even had a special moment and our first kiss . This was all captured. She got to know both families and their personalities. When certain family members pushed back with comments, she would joke back and tell them what to do, where to stand, and how to pose. During the exchange of the rings, the best man left the rings, upstairs. Joanna mentioned in the 27 years she has photographed weddings, she has never witnessed that. In a situation where I could have overreacted, I took a breath, saying to my husband and Pastor, that's ok. Then everyone started laughing. She never missed a beat. She is the Diamond at your company and she shone at our wedding. I am forever grateful that you sent us your most prized possession on my special day. It turned out the venue was just 6 miles away from her home, that was such a blessing. Well done Jolie Images you are fantastic! Great vendor to work with. As a photographer myself, I am appreciative of their accommodations for special requests such as RAW files, flexible packages, etc. Everyone we worked with on the administrative end (Jovan, Josh, etc.) were all very responsive and did a good job of sending reminders and follow-ups. The photographer I worked with, Daniel P, was a delight to work with. He did more than his duty as a photographer, serving also in advisory roles for several parts of the ceremony, helping people look their best, getting people relaxed, etc. This really helped to reduce a lot of the stress associated with the day, as he subtlely kept everything moving. As for photography, he was very knowledgeable about his equipment and explained the rationale for some of his artistic decisions. He was also very receptive to shooting in different photography styles, even doing some shots to match the personality and mood I use in my portrait photography. Daniel is an amazing artist and wonderful person -- and highly recommended. The videographer and photo booth staff were also friendly and professional as well, doing a great job of capturing moments while letting guests enjoy their evening. I ordered pictures from my cousins wedding. I contacted them because it says they were delivered but never were. Never received tracking number from them when I ordered pictures.i contacted them and told them the situation, and they pretty much told me that they were delivered and to contact the shipping handler with the tracking number I received. They never sent the pictures or made it right. I'm out almost $100 and pictures I wanted to give to family. We used Jolie Images for our June wedding. Some things were really good. Our interaction with Jovan in the office was great. We were explained the whole process and it went as described. Jovan was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The day of the wedding, our photographer Daniel was on time and a hit with our guests. A lot of fun and things seemed great. Then we received our pictures and we are just disappointed. So many things about them are bad. First of all it was very windy so hair was blowing as well as decorations, ladies dresses, etc. I am not sure why it wasn't mentioned to take pictures inside. I think we were caught up in the day and enjoying ourselves. Should a photographer notice everyone's hair blowing across their faces and suggest a change? It is now November and we are still struggling to choose pictures. Very few are ones we really would want to display or share. Also, the table shots were very amateur. Who wants the sugar and creamer holders included in the picture of the flower centerpiece? I don't think either of us got pictures taken in the dressing room getting ready. Just really disappointed with the final product. The staff was good but what we are left with, the final product, not so good. read more

Good: Customer service - every single person at Jolie has been fast to respond, polite, and honest. They were easy to work with! Cost (as everyone knows) - their most expensive package is a lot of photographers cheapest package! The amount of package options Our photographer Daniel was so friendly and easy to work with! He took the lead on our wedding day and provided great directions! He was also hilarious! My family loved him! He worked well with our videographer. He knew our venue really well and took photos in locations I didn't even think of. He was even able to help me with my bustle! The photos turned out lovely! I liked how I looked in a majority of them and I think that's hard for most people to say about both action and staged shots. Our wedding album turned out fantastic! It was worth getting the more expensive package. I'll treasure it forever. The 11x14 wall mounts also look amazing!! Proof book - I love that there are minis of every photo taken so I can look through them all without having to use my computer. Could be better: They didn't get table shots :( we only have photos of our guests dancing Less photos of us kissing. I don't need a million photos of us kissing. I wish there were more normal photos of my husband and I just smiling together. Also more romantic ones up close. However, we were under a time constraint, a photographer can't read your mind and maybe other people told him not to do these or vice versa. I feel like this is hindsight bias that you will probably get with any photographer/company. No one can get you every single pose and family member you wanted. I just felt that these were big misses for me. I still wouldn't have chosen a different photographer though. There is no guarantee you'll get the photographer you requested which can give a bride a lot of anxiety. Jovan was great at calming my nerves about this. Most photographers know their vacation in advance and they will warn you before you request them that the photographer is no longer available. It seems they do a good job managing the photographer requests that they won't let you put in a request for someone that is already taken so that you won't be disappointed. It also seems that most of their photographers have been there a while which is telling of the business! I liked my unedited photos way better than their edits! Their edits made my face orange. I feel they just applied a hue to the photo and that's it. If you think you'll want a lot of touch ups or editing Jolie might not be the best for you. If you trust that you'll look great and aren't picky about photos, the unedited versions should turn out lovely! The time it takes to get your photos- they are upfront and honest about this when we signed with them. However, When all your friends get their wedding photos a few weeks after their wedding you will feel a wave of jealousy come over you when you get yours months later and your wedding is no longer relevant. By the time I got my photos I wasn't even that excited for them anymore and I felt like people didn't even really care to see them at that point. Plus there was over 2000 photos I had to sort through which was exhausting! It took me another month before I could even share them on Facebook with people! I felt it was kind of a buzz kill after your big day. Bitter Sweet: You get 2000-3000 photos. If you like to have options this is great!! But otherwise this is super overwhelming. It took me forever to pick out my favorite photos. However, this is one of the ways they are able to charge a lower price. Overall I would ask a bride what matters more to you: having pretty good photos, a photographer there for 10 hours, and saving money OR knowing who your photographer will be, spending more money, maybe having slightly better photos and definitely better editing but getting less photo time and no album? This was my debate when signing. Ultimately, I found Jolie to be true to what they advertised and a very affordable option for couples, just make sure you have realistic expectations! We chose Jolie Images as our wedding photographer and were very happy that we did. Right from the start we could tell that this was a professional company. The prices were very clear as well as all of our options. We first contacted Jolie Images in the fall of 2019 for our July 2020 wedding. Because of the pandemic we were forced to reschedule our wedding twice. Each time they were easy to work with, honored our deposit and did not raise their prices. About a month before the wedding we went to their office and ironed out all of the details. We even got to meet our photographer. I liked being able to recognize our photographer on the day of the wedding. Our photographer was familiar with the venue and was able to get all of our pictures and pictures with family and the wedding party before the ceremony which afforded us more time to meet with our guests during the cocktail hour. He had some great pose suggestions and got some great outside pictures. He even helped with buttoning buttons on our tuxedos and gave suggestions on the best way to cut our cake. We also ordered a videographer and photo booth for the night. Everyone arrived on time and set up without being noticed. We were offered an album with a copy of all of the photo booth photos. That was the best $50 I spent for the wedding. We were able to take it home that evening and have instant pictures and memories. Our photographer took over 2,500 photos that night and got a good variety of shots. The photographs and video were delivered within the time frame promised. I highly recommend Jolie Images and will hire them again should the need arise. read more

While I hate leaving sub par reviews I just felt I needed to share. We got our wedding photos back and while we have some really great shots, there's a lot left to be desired. I was emailed saying that our edited photo prints were ready. 1. how you get those is not super easy (there's some app required, and while I may be tech challenged, I don't think you should have issues downloading something you get a link to. No it wasn't my storage, it's just a weird app.) I ended up just borrowing a computer and downloading them onto a thumb drive. 2. while I do LOVE my new husband's shoulders, and everyone who attended our wedding, I would have loved even more to clearly see the emotion on mine and my Dad's face when we were walking down the aisle. We didn't do a first look, and the shots Max got were something to be desired. I'm going to post them (and I'll include some of the ones I love so I can present a cohesive picture. I realize you won't love every shot but some of this is just ridiculous), so hopefully they can be reviewed and this doesn't happen to another bride. The ones of my husband seeing me are fantastic though, so that's a positive I guess? It's just a huge bummer that a lot of the shots are blurry/not in focus as well as they could have been, and we can't ever get that day back. For the ones we did get that I love I am super grateful, I just couldn't believe that so many I did want were missed, and that ones I really didn't want wasted so much time even after I created a google docs sheet I shared with both the company and photographer that clearly outlined priority photos. I'm not sure why there are so many shots of the guys smoking and on their phones outside of the venue, and I feel like the photographer could have given higher directives because I couldn't be there to do it. Some of the shots were just bizarre and I feel that time could have been better spent. Like why did we take photos of my flowers on ugly brown patio furniture, when there was so much space (we were literally in a green house filled with beautiful options, there was a cactus room, one with a jungle theme, one large and mostly empty room where our ceremony was taking place, and another large room with lots of beautiful scenery in it) to take them else where? Why was I forced to take fake getting ready shots with my Mom, when I knew they would be weird and awkward (they were, and no it's not because I don't love my mom, there are many of us looking very happy and not weird)? We ended up paying 750.00 for 3.5 hours of photography and print release and over all I just feel like a lot of that time could have been better prioritized/better thought out by the photographer and better managed. He was super nice, but it seemed like he wanted me to do the directing, and I just didn't have it in me to be the boss on the day I wanted to enjoy most (I did enjoy my day, and now I wish I had been bossier- idk you win some and lose some I guess). I guess the final thoughts on this are- if you or your groom smoke, probably tell the photographer to skip those shots, and also tell the guys these photos are supposed to be forever, and screwing around and making stupid faces in every single shot is just messed up. I can't even imagine what I would do with pictures of the groomsmen in a gray parking lot, in gray suits, smoking cigarettes, and looking at facebook on their phones, much less these blurry photos of me walking down the aisle. It sucks, and much like another reviewer, I guess not hiring someone more expensive is on me, but for 750.00 I should have loved more than 25 shots. read more

My best friend used this company and she had a very rude photographer who borderline bullied one of the bridesmaids the whole day. You will get thousands of images back (but will never get a preview) but 80% of them will be repeats and 70% will either have eyes closed or only the back of peoples heads. Some great shots, but no couple should receive any photos where people's eyes are closed (much less every other photo). They also don't need 15-40 (LITERALLY) of each shot. Jolie Images was a company highly recommended to my husband and I for our wedding day. The process of booking our wedding date through them was super easy and simple. We had a brief discussion before our wedding of where to meet and times and what photos we would like to be captured. The day of my wedding I was a ball of nerves and had a million things on my mind. The day was a blur and I did not think to make sure the photographer was taking the pictures that we had wanted and including everyone and all aspects. This past weekend we received our wedding pictures...and could not be more disappointed and upset. The list of reasons is pretty long and we have expressed our concerns to the company but no sympathy was received. 1.) We received almost 100 great pictures of my husband and his grooms men (individual and group pictures) having a great time before the 1st look. I, the bride, received maybe 10 pictures of me and my bridesmaids getting ready. All of the pictures of me and the girls getting ready were unflattering pictures of us sitting and eating and talking. I have no individual pictures with each of my girls or group pictures of us getting ready. We had champagne bottles and glasses and cute robes, we could have had a great picture opportunity! 2.) There were many pictures where our bridal party wasn't all looking the same direction or eyes were closed or not smiling. If there were 10 pictures of the same pose, maybe 1 picture was decent enough where everyone was looking into the camera. 3.) There are hundred of pictures of my husbands family at cocktail hour doing multiple poses but there was NO pictures of my family or friends out of the 1,411 pictures. 4.) I have no pictures of my side of the family or friends out of 1,411 pictures. We figured the photographer would take pictures of everyone throughout cocktail hour and dinner and dancing. 5.) There are NO pictures of my husband or I dancing with our guests. 6.) out of 1,411 pictures we ended up liking 60. Even though we only liked a few pictures we still had to purchase the cheapest package ($400) for the downloadable link or pay $80 per picture. 7.) Some picture were slightly blurry. 8.) A good amount of pictures were unflattering or awkward looking. 9.) For some reason we have numerous pictures of our head table (before dinner) and center pieces. I can see including 1 or 2...but I don't need 10 pictures of our empty head table. Overall, my husband and I are sad we will never be able to redo these pictures or have certain people and memories captured on our wedding day. read more

Our wedding was Friday, January 3rd 2020 and Max was our Photgrapher. Honestly, Max (or is it spelled Maks?) is AMAZING to work with for 10 hours! :) He has an eye for detail and welcomed any requests I had for what type of photo poses and angles I like. Looking over our public online proofs for viewing, we are just amazed at the attention, creativity and intimacy of the shots representing our wedding day. Max really delivered in the type of shots I requested. He was friendly, cheerful, and just helpful all around throughout the day; jack of all trades if you will. I did not have a good experience with one of the photographers here. I had paid for the forest preserve location, but it was closed on the day of our appointment so he just took us around town, which was okay... He made us feel awkward, and as a photographer myself, part of his job is making us feel comfortable enough to be ourselves. I also found out after I had shown up for my appointment that the price was more than initially indicated. It was $200 for the photo shoot, but if I wanted my pictures, I had to pay them more money. That is straight bullsh*t. And on top of that, the photographer didn't even edit my pictures. He put a filter on a couple of them, but part of the process of taking pictures is the editing process. I felt totally cheated by this company and would not recommend getting your pictures done here. read more

Jolie Images did no work, and the wedding was still nine months away! It's sad I have to base this entire review off a less than five minute phone call but my fiancé and I are not interested in moving forward with this group. Looking for a photographer for our upcoming wedding, we scheduled an appointment to speak with a representative at 2:00 PM on a Saturday. Our contact Jovan did not call or respond to our messages until 2:50 PM. He apologized saying he "lost track of time." My fiancé and I were busy as we assumed the call would not take place so we informed him we would call back. Jovan agreed saying he would be free until 5:00 PM. This is interesting because at the first point of contact, he informed us his last phone appointment was 2:00 PM. When we called back, we expected to be wowed with a presentation and a pitch on why we should choose Jolie Images. First question was "Ok what questions do you have?" I countered with a request to describe the wedding photo packages in further detail. He did so at super speed and finished with "ok what other questions do you have?" My fiancé and I were stunned. Worse, in the background, it sounded like he was at a party distracted by other people. He finished the call five minutes in when we were too disappointed to ask any further questions. We were a little hesitant spending so much money on a photographer for a day (they're just pictures, how hard can it be??) but boy am I glad we did. Our photographer Greg was beyond amazing. He showed up early, stayed late, and had a great personality to boot. He was very good at directing our group to perform a huge variety of poses and the pictures came out beautifully. We had Jolie images photograph our wedding. Let me start by saying that the photos we received were great and we love them. The photographer showed up on time minus ending up at the wrong hotel when she came to photograph the guys. We got our pictures in a timely fashion and all who requested it were notified about when they were posted. The photographer was very energetic and suggested a lot of photos without us prompting her. I would have liked her to be a little more fun but that's just her style and it was totally fine with us. The parts leading up to and including the ceremony were top notch. Very organized and easy going. We got a lot of good photos out of it and we loved working with her. The B-roll shots were fantastic. After the ceremony we were able to get some of the photos in as a newlywed and happy couple, but shortly after, as we were setting up to take a bunch of photos in the courtyard where the ceremony took place, the rain came. Now, I understand that it'll put a damper on any photo shoot and I am not faulting the photographer for any of that whatsoever. I just wish that she was a little more prepared for such a thing. A lot of the family photos and stuff were more or less just thrown together. Not to mention when the family members just kept on coming, the photographer seemed to be a bit flustered with the overwhelming amount of people wanting pictures and the ones towards the end seemed to trail off in terms of the creativity and liveliness. They turned out great nonetheless though. We loved the mini shoot in the schoolhouse during the storm and some of those came out absolutely beautifully. I would not take those away for the world. Absolutely stunning. The photos from dinner and the reception turned out great. My wife and I are self proclaimed potatoes when it comes to most photos and she was able to capture a lot of the small fraction when we don't. Haha. If you're looking for a good quality photographer at good price with a lot of perks, Jolie is where to go. Another good part about Jolie, our package included a mini shoot with a photographer at a park near their studio in Wheeling. We used Jolie Images for photography and photo booth for our wedding. From the start, they were super easy to work with and got us all the information we needed and booked right away. They are super affordable - even for a holiday wedding. They also have so many photographers so you really get to choose the kind of style you are going for. The week before the wedding we had a phone call with the photographer and it went really well - we went over the timeline and some specific inspiration. They really shined the day of. I know they captured all of the details and had really good ideas for some artsy shots. They were super personable and fun. They also helped me when I had a dress mishap and my bustle broke! I just had my wedding this past Saturday April 17th my photographer was Max and he was absolutely amazing!!!! he had amazing energy from when he first arrived until the very last picture...he made sure that me and the groom were very satisfied throughout the night and all of our guests and bridal party absolutely loved him!!!! WE LOVE MAKS. WE LOVE MAKS. Man oh man was he great! I knew the moment he walked into my mom's house the afternoon of he was the one! He was sooooo patient, listened, he was funny and had wonderful ideas! Tammy was also great to correspond with via email regarding any questions I had. They did my wedding last June and the photographer, although very polite, was not very creative nor did he have a good eye for pictures. Have the time we had to give him ideas and even then I feel like he didn't know how to capture them. That aside, I patiently waited 8 weeks for my pictures and still nothing. I saw them post of other weddings that took place after mine and yet I heard nothing from them in regards to mine. I contacted them and they had no idea that no one had done anything for mine. They said they would look into it and then all I got was a ready for pick up a week later. No apology or reason as to why or how they could forget about an entire project. When I booked Jolie, I was a little skeptical because their prices were so affordable, but honestly, after the service and the photos we received, I absolutely loved that we chose them as our photographer and videographer. They were beyond amazing the day of our wedding and offered many packages that matched our price point. I would not suggest this service mainly due to the software they use when trying to order pictures online. Their customer service support was no help and in fact, boasted that they've been using the same software for more than 10 years. With so many other choices, do look around, their upfront pricing is also deceiving. Although our photographer was great, the picture quality is not. read more

Very reasonably priced and had an extremely kind photographer. However was pretty disappointed in our photos- received about 1000(!)- all nearly unedited and so many awkward ones. I was sad that all my group photos were super awkward- I had expected the photographer to stage us to get quality photos. Overall not awful- just wish I would have spent more and gotten more profesional photos/experience. read more
