Spots are VERY close together. Easy however to pull into them, most with a pull thru. Mowed weekly and the sites are very level. WiFi works well and cable is offered if you have your own wire. Small non heated pool. Very clean. Small store that is attached to a restaurant that is open for breakfast and a buffet lunch. Bath houses are spacious and cleaned in the afternoons. Laundry facilities are spacious and very well kept. Front desk people are either really nice and healthful (3 of them )or else you get the grumpy one they could care less that you are there. Just go out and come back in To have the nice one help you!!! Would recommend and we will be back.

The walk to the beach is easy to moderate while walking thru soft sand, until the beach, where ancient trees lay on their sides, and roots make for a gorgeous view. The day we were here, the beach was littered with the bodies of cannon ball jellyfish, which are surprisingly solid, so watch your feet. Enjoy the temperate water of the Atlantic ocean and the bright South Ga Sun for a perfect afternoon.

The beach gets its name from the incredible collection of weathered trees and driftwood scattered along the shoreline, creating the most dreamy, almost storybook-like scenery. Jekyll Island has such a fascinating history, and this area is a beautiful reminder of how nature and time continue to shape the island. What was once a thriving forest has gradually transformed into this unique coastal landscape due to erosion and changing shorelines. Walking along the beach surrounded by these beautiful, sculptural trees felt so peaceful and surreal. Add in the friendly locals, Southern charm, and laid-back island atmosphere, and I completely understood why Jekyll Island has such a special charm. I came for business, but Jekyll Island quickly became one of those unexpected places I'll remember long after the trip is over. Driftwood Beach was definitely one of my favorite stops, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

We also appreciated that each site has a separate spigot for washing your rig or vehicle, which is a thoughtful and convenient feature. One of the biggest advantages for us was the easy access to I‑95. We used this campground as a two‑night stopping point to break up our drive from Myrtle Beach to Miami, and the location was perfect--quick on and off the highway without the noise you might expect. The amenities here truly stand out. There are multiple bath houses and laundromats, all clean and convenient, plus a well‑stocked store with RV supplies and LP gas. The entire resort is handicap accessible, which is clearly reflected in the layout and facilities. There's no shortage of things to do--fishing on the lake, relaxing by the swimming pool, or enjoying shuffleboard, horseshoes, and the game room. The pavilion fire rings, dock, and conference center add even more versatility. What really sets this place apart is the staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. When we had an issue, they quickly referred us to a local mobile RV repair technician, who was wonderful and took great care of us. We regularly visit Savannah, Jacksonville, St Simons, Jekyll Island, Amelia Island and Okefenokee National Park while staying here. Brunswick has all the necessities you would need and is a nice town. Husband always visits the Pinball Palace! Highly recommend staying a while and really exploring the beauty of this area.

Transients like me and longer term stays are available in the campground. There's just something about being waterside that I find helpful for my mood and my productivity, I was here for about two hours for phone calls and emails, sitting in the van and listening to the quiet lapping of the shore. There are activities here including picnic shelters, a playground, a fishing pier and a boat launch with crane. I was able to watch them pull a boat in with the crane and load it onto a trailer. And Miss Cindy the owner was a joy. Pure southern hospility at it's best. For these two reasons I am giving this place 5 stars. For the campground itself, I would give 3 and a half to four stars because of site size and road noise. As all other reviewers stated, this place is no frills (no laundry, pool, fire rings, etc). So don't bring your kids and expect them to be entertained. There are only 12 sites (I think) and you are all lined up in a row with maybe 10 to fifteen feet of space between you. But you don't feel too cramped. At least we didn't feel like that in our site #7. And no one is in front of you except a couple of beautiful live oak trees. So...here is what you DO get: Water, electric and sewer Pretty level sites Great free Wi-fi Good cell service with ATT Good pull in and pull out room for our 43' motorhome and toad without having to disconnect Wonderful areas for walking your pets You are an hour or less from Savannah, Brunswick, Jekyl and St. Simon Islands You are blocks away from "the smallest church in America" - a great photo stop You are 7 miles from the Shrimp Shack where a pound of heads on shrimp was $3.75 and it was delicious! You are 10 minutes from the really nice Bi-Lo grocery store in Darien (also a cute town) The only con was also the convenience of being right off Highway 17. There was obviously traffic during what most would call rush hour in the mornings and evenings; but other than that we slept great even with the windows open! In fact it was so quiet at night I was able to hear a hoot owl off in the distance. All in all this was a great place for us to stay. We were headed to Florida but knew it would be almost impossible to find a campground or RV park with an opening for the weekend. So this was a great stop where we had time to do some internet research (with the great Wi-Fi) and find a couple of options to head to on Sunday. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Miss Cindy!
