There are public restrooms at the brick building across the sidewalk on the side of the picnic tables towards the parking. For public restrooms they're not bad! A quick straight stroll (2 blocks or so) to get ice cream and go out to eat or shop around! Great location.

Enjoy the view of the Saint Simons Sound. The big widget is the recovery ship that is cutting up the Golden Ray, a car transporter that capsized a few years back. Great spot. You can't see the playground from the road (Oceanview), but it's adjacent to the mini golf, so pull in there, and they share a parking lot behind back. Red Bug Motor's Pizza is also adjacent to the playground. There are two playgrounds here, younger kids on right, big kids on left, when you enter from the parking lot. The huge "GA state law says we're not liable for death or injuries" signs are prominent, and creepy. Otherwise, the equipment is brand spanking new, and lots of fun. My (older) toddler was able to do almost every apparatus, and had a blast every visit. There are always kids coming and going from here so your little ones will find some playmates. Many parents let their kids roam free while they went to hang at the pizza deck, or play mini golf. Plenty of benches for parents to sit and keep an eye on kids, and trash cans for waste from snacks.

The employees and camp hosts are friendly and helpful. There is lots of trails and wildlife to enjoy. Anytime we have had issues, they are promptly addressed and rectified. The only slight drawback is the paper mill stench. It can be quite awful at times. Oh! And the noseeum's. Bring bug spray! We regularly visit Savannah, Jacksonville, St Simons, Jekyll Island, Amelia Island and Okefenokee National Park while staying here. Brunswick has all the necessities you would need and is a nice town. Husband always visits the Pinball Palace! Highly recommend staying a while and really exploring the beauty of this area.

Transients like me and longer term stays are available in the campground. There's just something about being waterside that I find helpful for my mood and my productivity, I was here for about two hours for phone calls and emails, sitting in the van and listening to the quiet lapping of the shore. There are activities here including picnic shelters, a playground, a fishing pier and a boat launch with crane. I was able to watch them pull a boat in with the crane and load it onto a trailer. But if you're parking at Mallery, expect to just access the ball fields, restrooms and playground because the road between the parks is pretty busy (and there is a separate lot over there anyway). Parking at Mallery was ample on a weekday evening in March, even with softball practice in session. The playground has wood chips to keep things soft for kids. The slide/climbing structure is REALLY HIGH. I was really uncomfortable letting my toddler climb it. He was playing with older kids who were keeping an eye on him otherwise I'd not have allowed it. Parents of little ones, beware. Other apparatuses, like see-saw and swings were fine, but a small children area would be nice. I'm grateful they had bathrooms, which is a step up from nothing or port-a-potties. However, the bathrooms were DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY. Like a stench, trash all over the floor, and even a broken lollipop to stick to your shoes. Yuk! Overall the park is great, just make sure to use your bathroom at home before you visit!
