We really enjoyed our stay at this campground. The resort is beautifully maintained, with all paved roads and spacious sites that are a generous 35 feet wide. Our pull‑through site had full hookups (30 & 50 amp service) and plenty of room to maneuver, making setup easy and stress‑free. Each site is beautifully lined on both sides with magnolia bushes and trees, providing a surprising amount of privacy and a peaceful, park‑like feel. We also appreciated that each site has a separate spigot for washing your rig or vehicle, which is a thoughtful and convenient feature. One of the biggest advantages for us was the easy access to I‑95. We used this campground as a two‑night stopping point to break up our drive from Myrtle Beach to Miami, and the location was perfect--quick on and off the highway without the noise you might expect. The amenities here truly stand out. There are multiple bath houses and laundromats, all clean and convenient, plus a well‑stocked store with RV supplies and LP gas. The entire resort is handicap accessible, which is clearly reflected in the layout and facilities. There's no shortage of things to do--fishing on the lake, relaxing by the swimming pool, or enjoying shuffleboard, horseshoes, and the game room. The pavilion fire rings, dock, and conference center add even more versatility. What really sets this place apart is the staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. When we had an issue, they quickly referred us to a local mobile RV repair technician, who was wonderful and took great care of us. This campground is excellent as an overnight or travel stop, but it's so well‑kept, quiet, and amenity‑rich that we would absolutely recommend it for a longer stay as well. I've wanted to stay at this "resort" for over 3 years (since we started full timing) but I can honestly say I'm terribly disappointed! The sites are extremely small, we have a 44ft 5th wheel. The sites haven't been mowed in weeks, grass/weeds are 2 foot tall in most places and the no see ums are insane! The dog park looks like it was an afterthought. For the price, I expected better. St Simons Island has been the highlight of this trip, however, we won't return! read more

Coastal Georgia RV Resort is a family owned and operated RV resort that is exceeded our expectations! When I called to make our reservation the staff was super friendly and got us in an amazing spot right on the lake. All spots are fully hook up, have concrete pads and privacy, which you can't find in the big corporate parks! VERY clean and up to date bath houses! We have been traveling for years and this park had all of the amenities even an ice machine that was FREE! We got to talk to the owner and heard his story. Such an amazing gentleman! Flying by the seat of our pants pulling our 22ft camper on our way to CT.We hit this clean, modern,concrete drive thru. They were so accommodating and nice, though never saw the staff just on the phone. On our way home to Fl we hit it again for the same experience, so close to i95 can't beat it. Planned a trip up this way and found their information through our apps for RV travel. Great location, facilities and we had a back in on the lake. It was perfect for sitting out in the evening. We have been here a week and have enjoyed ourselves. Pool is clear and clean. Laundry is convenient and BTW washer is 30 minutes for $1.75 and dryer is 45 minutes for $1.75. Easy place to get in and out of from I95 and easy for trips to Saint Simons, Jekyll Island and the surrounding area. read more

We stopped here after tire issues. It was a very nice and well kept place. Paved RV spots, lake front, multiple 24 hour laundry facilities, clean restrooms, and large shower rooms throughout the property. Each RV spot was separated by a row of trees/bushes for privacy. There were magnolia trees that smelled amazing at the ends of each row of bushes/trees. Huge gather areas, horseshoe and shuffleboard areas, a pool, dock, indoor and outdoor community kitchen and multiple indoor and outdoor gather areas that would fit hundreds of people. Very nice RV Resort. The price is a little higher than what I'm used to but you definitely get perks for the price. read more

This was a very nice RV park, very accommodating. They were full with Rv's in the overflow area, and managed to find us a place and moved us to accommodate extra nights so we could take in all the sights despite the rain. I would definitely book here again if we were traveling this way. Pool was nice although not heated, so cold in late March, but still it was open. Small but adequate dog park but lovely boardwalk to walk on. Restrooms were exceptionally clean as was laundry area. Close proximity to shopping, dining, and sightseeing. Buddy sites are a must. Regular sites too close to bushes. Staff tries to accommodate every need. Free ice. Nice place.

A little close to the freeway, but that means easy on and off! Very clean and well run. Some of the nicest restrooms wwe have experienced on the road. Only stayed one night. Quiet and peaceful. read more

Checked in for 1 night on our way to Florida Very nice Rv resort. We ended up staying another night. Staff in the office was straight forward. We asked for another night she said no. We ask if there was a cancellation list and said we'd take a different site. She got us another site. They are adding several new sites. A few are buddy sites. ( sites facing each other for groups). Sure it'll be nice. Sites are big enough for Rv and toad. Not to wide but do have a littleLocated right off I-95. Little noise from the highway but not bad. Several restaurants close by. 10 minutes from Jekyll Island. We not there for a few hours. A nice spot to visit or just stop by while traveling. S read more

Conveniently located park right off I-95 with good sites and amenities. The park has a nice pool, bathroom and shower facility along with a pavilion to hold events that need more seating. The sites are all concrete, flat and easy to navigate with plenty of room for a tow vehicle. The park provides cable service and decent wifi. We say "ditto" to all the good things everyone has said about this park. We stayed 5 nights and were able to thoroughly explore the coastal Georgia area, returning every evening to this lovely, comfortable, friendly park. Conveniently located easily off I-95 we were able to access great restaurants, small villages, quaint shops, and many historical sites. We made a reservation over the phone and the lady was super sweet (had a lovely accent!) It was reasonably priced and close to the interstate. We stayed for one night on our way home from Florida to Maine. The lots were very clean and tidy, the facilites were amazing and the layout was beautiful. Our info was right outside the main office with our name on it (to keep socially distanced due to COVID), showing us how to get to our site and giving us all the passwords we'd need. So easy!! The slide out on my trailer broke when I checked in so I was not able to use it. The trailer was there empty for three of the 10 nights I booked waiting for a RV repair service to come out and look at it. It needed parts that had to be ordered so I called the office to ask if I could get credit for the time lost for the remainder of the stay (not a refund). They said that it was against there policy but if I called back the next day they take the reservation. Unfortunatley things took longer than anticipated with the Realtor I'm working with to relocate to St. Simons so I was unable to contact them before their office closed. I made the phone call the next day a was told curtly that because I didn't call yesterday they were not going to extend the credit. First of all Madonna (Manager) was rude. Second calling 1 day after they told me that they would issue the credit then not honoring their promise is really being a little nit picky, especially for a repeat customer that comes down often. I have been coming down to this resort 3 to 4 times per year for two years, staying 10 days to two weeks each visit. Needless to say I will be staying elsewhere in the future. I'm currently staying at a wonderful brand new dog friendly La Quinta Inn with a kitchenette. The room is as big as my RV. The service has been impeccable and they have made every effort to accommodate me. It's really not much more expensive than Coastal RV. I guess I have found my new home here while looking for a permanent one. read more

We are just now heading home from our first trip in our travel trailer. This place is not only beautiful, and clean, but the people who operate this facility are amazing. Long story short- we had issues with our vehicle that pulls our travel trailer. They were kind and assisted us with our stay that went from 3 nights to 10. They let us pay the weekly rate even though we were paying a day at a time. They truly felt for us and our hard situation. The pool is nice, the pond has a beautiful deck that goes around it so you can fish. It's in a prime location only being a few minutes from many many beaches. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts. It was our first trip, that could have been disastrous, that turned into being amazing! read more

This is a really nice RV park. It is newer and has paved streets, concrete pads, and nice landscaping so you don't track mud in. It is a really nice spot to explore the Sea Islands area. We stayed 4 nights and will be happy to make a return trip. read more

This park was very clean and well kept. The customer service from the office was not very warm or friendly. Three separate interactions from our one night stay left us feeling more of a bother than a paying customer. We actually had a mechanical problem with our slide and had to call for service. We let them know of our situation and that we could possibly be delayed in departing. All they cared about was "when will you be able to leave", even though the park was half empty. Fortunately rv service was quick and helpful. We managed to leave prior to check out time. That probably saved us from facing a firing squad. read more

Total pleasant experience here. Modern, clean, friendly staff, very big rig friendly, nice pool, surroundings, and layout. Easy off ! 95 and you go right by a Flying J before you turn into resort. We found spaces to be very wide, level concrete pads, and nice grass and hedges. No mud or sand anywhere. Not necessary to disconnect TOAD if you are in a hurry to relax. A place to park when you visit Jekyll Island. Swimming pool not heated, the small pond not a place you would want to paddle around on. Just lots of concrete. It is easy to park on the pull through sites. read more

Stayed one night. Impressed at first but Internet was horrible. We asked for a late check out and offered to pay 1/2 of overnight rate. I was told they do not do late check outs because some people took advantage of it but I could pay full rate. I could understand that if the park was even 1/2 full but they had at least 30 open spots. Why not run my card for full rate and if I comply with rules refund 1/2. I don't know usually rv parks are so accommodating, I guess I'm spoiled. read more

This is our second stay and we love the property. It is very clean and nice, however on both visits the desk staff have been very unfriendly and borderline rude. We have found in our short 16 month RV ownership that most camp offices and hosts have been very friendly and go out of their way to help. read more

If you need good customer service and internet access, DO NOT stay at this park. They advertise that they have wifi but it doesn't exist anywhere in the park. I needed to do some work while on a recent stay and was unable to log on. I called the office and told the woman that answered that I needed to log on but there is no internet available and that was one of the main reasons I chose the park and now would have to leave and go somewhere else. She giggled and said that I could not get a refund since I had already paid. Also, this park sits very close to I95 and you can hear the constant road sounds and see the billboard signs rising above the pond filled with muck and slime. There is absolutely NO shade at any site and that is much needed in south Georgia. They also have no option of booking online nor a place for people who have stayed there to post their comments-for very obvious reasons. There are several other RV parks in this area-use them! read more
