We are from Seattle so thrilled for the Seahawks! They simply dominated this whole season and especially last night! Keep up the good work, boys! This place is very nice has lots of overhead tv with a large dance hall and prominent stage for bands to play. Service or lack their of a definite issue especially at checkout, I gave a good tip and I said thank you, the staff did not even acknowledge-we were so happy with our experience- both watching the game and the band-but definitely dampened by the unfriendly staff at checkout. What's with the ´titude? We did not order food. We ate at UJ before coming here. When we arrived-place was full-and then this nice gentleman offered to share the extra chairs in his table which was really kind-it did set the great mood & vibe but not by the staff workers but rather of the good patrons to this place-and yes, drinks my hubby had were pricey $24 each time, he was charged 8 drinks so not sure about that-oh well, it was a fun night-well worth game watching the Seahawks play against SF and seeing the Reflex at the same time! Simply overload of joy!

They serve beer, wine, cocktails and food. They also have darts in the back if you want to play. I tried one or two of the cocktails they had. You first have to get a Self Pour Card from the host along with providing your form of payment. You then go to the Cocktails bay, grab one of the glasses - they had many to choose from, tap your card (where it says "Tap Here" and then pull the lever to get the level of drink you want to get - the screen will show you the number of ounces you got and the total cost up to that point. I love it. I tried 2 cocktails (Beth's Green Hawaii and Sweet Apple Pie) as in getting a taste, but settled on one and both were good - I enjoyed the taste. I would check this spot out again, if in the area (seems like a chill place).

This will be our go to hotel from now on. Service was excellent, the room was gorgeous and the facility is very nice. Breakfast was so good each morning we even tipped our breakfast lady because she was amazing!!! High recommend and have you ever stayed at a hotel that had a walk in closet? We had not until now! While I considered rounding up for the breakfast offerings, I'm rounding down because I didn't have the restful stay that I was hoping for. Pros: - clean hotel with complimentary continental breakfast - decent breakfast spread - scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and a protein were served each day. There was pork sausage on one day and bacon on another. There's also a DIY waffle maker, cereal station with a few dispensers, and oatmeal bar with a mix of toppings to add in. On Sunday, there was also French toast sticks (these were dry but you can drown them in syrup). On Monday, instead of French toast sticks, they had hard-boiled eggs and fresh fruit. Both days also had a basket of apples and bananas (the bananas looked much more appealing than the apples). They had a good condiment section (jellies, butter, peanut butter, cream cheese, Nutella, etc.). I also liked that they had salsa and shredded cheese for the eggs. There was also a fridge of milk and yogurt, a juice machine, and coffee and tea station, which included flavored syrups. They do take the coffee away after breakfast, but there is a coffee maker in the room. - room had a microwave and mini fridge, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer. No safe. - fitness center and pool are included amenities. There was also a computer in the lobby for their "business center" - luggage carts were easily available - plenty of parking available - good location near several shops and other shopping areas Cons: - check-in is at 3pm. We came around 4:30 pm and the room (executive suite) was still not ready. They estimated a 45-60 minute wait. We debated unloading the car, sitting in the lobby and waiting, but decided to leave and check out the shops nearby. The hotel didn't offer anything for the inconvenience, only their "apologies." - Super uncomfortable beds! I did not get restful sleep at this hotel. I felt like I was sleeping on a cot (it's not ~ I checked... but you could have fooled me...) - minimal toiletries available. Aside from the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner pumps in the shower, the only toiletries on the counter were one make-up remover wipe and a cleansing bar. No lotion, supplemental facial soap, mouthwash, etc. - water from the water station in the fitness center tasted stale - front desk staff was not super present. Whenever I was in the lobby, the front desk space was often vacant. We didn't have any issues to address, but staff did not seem very accessible The property is nice overall and the facilities are clean. Call it a princess and the pea scenario, but these beds are not for me.

The parts of the winery I did see were beautiful. The house served as a Civil War hospital, then a home and now winery since 2006. I didn't get a chance to view upstairs or out back because I spent my entire time there in the tasting room. I was told upstairs has some parlours with seating for a more private experience. The outside view is beautiful with multiple tables to sit and enjoy wine and live music on the weekends. Mary, a fellow educator, took excellent care of me when I arrived! She was so warm and friendly and did a great job of explaining all the wines and helping me find wines that fit my preference. I ended up joining their wine club and left with 8 bottles. I also got to meet Flurry one of the staff member's dog. Everyone was so friendly and I'm excited to return with some friends!

You're in for a barrel of fun and an extensive wine education at this stately and immense winery. The wine tasting room is big and comfortable, we had an amazing wine connoisseur, Zach, who taught us so much about the varied wines. He was funny and informative! Loved the quirky corky menu for a festive touch! We loved the Viognier, Virginia's signature grape! The Cabernet Franc Reserve was a casual wine that we were told would be great with pizza and Netflix! The coppery Cabernet Sauvignon was peppery and slightly dry which we liked! The Chardonnay subtle unique; more than oak and buttery, Zach said if you want just oak and butter, rub Land O' Lakes on a tree! Lol! The light Merlot "greets you at the front door" and cherry bombs you! Carmenere almost went extinct; thank you Chile for bringing it back! The wines were superb and we brought several bottles back home! The prices were reasonable and the experience was phenomenal! We thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed every moment at this lively winery and can't wait to return!

Service was pleasant and knowledgeable about most menu items. This is primarily a whiskey bar, so keep that in mind when ordering cocktails. I loved the Citrus Kiss but wasn't a fan of the Blackberry Smash -- not that it was bad, just not my taste, so I passed it to someone else in our group. We shared the monkey bread, fries sampler, steak and cheese dumplings, chicken rigatoni, and salmon caprese. The rigatoni was a hit for one person at the table, but wasn't for me -- so I asked to swap it for the salmon, which was excellent. What earns this place five stars is not the ambiance, though stunning, but it is the service. No pushback, no awkward looks about the swap, and no extra charge. We all make mistakes when ordering, and I genuinely appreciated that the staff handled it graciously without complaint or an added fee. For that reason -- and the quality of the food -- I'll absolutely be back and would highly recommend it.

You can always tell when a restaurant has strong chemistry among its staff -- and that comes from being managed by people who truly care. The place is spotless, and the food is always five-star -- tasty, hot, beautifully presented, featuring amazing seasonal specials, and consistently appetizing. The reason for this second review is to give a special shout-out to Cali from Nokesville (not California -- inside joke!). Nothing against today's younger generation, but it's rare to find someone with such natural ease in conversation. Cali is an old soul with a wonderful personality, genuine warmth, and incredible knowledge of the menu. She's the kind of server who doesn't just take your order -- she connects with you. Early in our meal, I asked about something that's normally only offered for to-go orders. Cali said she'd check into it, and I didn't think much of it. Well, an hour and a half later, after we'd finished dining and checked out, she came back -- having remembered my request -- and made it happen. That level of attention and follow-through is rare these days. Firebirds Gainesville continues to impress us in every way, and with staff members like Cali, it's easy to see why. Five stars all around!
