Two Silos is hiring bouncers and treating decent families like they're just groups of drunken people. I don't go out to be treated like I'm in some colonial tavern in Virginia . I went there to have a good time and instead found rude, prehistoric behavior. Me and my family specifically chose a table with an umbrella because today at the USA game rain was coming. In the middle of the game, an employee came over and started abruptly removing our umbrella. I told him what is happening and I wanted to keep it because that was the whole reason we chose that table. His response? "I don't care. The manager ordered it." While he was pulling the umbrella out, he was so intimidating and came so close that he almost hit me in the head with it. Not once did he apologize or show any concern. Rude and scary We immediately left our food and untouched drinks at the table and leave My recommendation: If you're looking for a place where families are welcomed and customers are treated with respect, spend your money somewhere else. There are plenty of places that understand hospitality. Unfortunately, 2Silos isn't one of them. Solid brewery, with tons of seating and food options. I ordered the cream ale which was refreshing and slightly sweet. 4/5 for that. For food, we ordered the nachos and spicy pepperoni pizza with hot honey. Those were not as good. The nachos were a massive let down, needed more cheese, and the chili was underwhelming. Also, the tortilla could've been made fresh, would've added an oomph to it. The pizza was better but needs improvement, since it could've been crispier, and larger. For $16, I expected more. The ricotta and hot honey gave it solid flavor though. Between the two, go with the pizza. Bartender was nice, and overall, the place had a good vibe. I'll just get drinks here next time, not the food. The day we visited (Thursday), none of the food trucks were open so maybe they have better food options on the weekend. read more

Great experience, beautiful venue, highly recommend if you want a nice spot that's not stuffy and strict. We were exploring the nearby Burnside Farms for the tulip picking they offer in the spring. The kids were hungry and I was looking for a place I could enjoy just as much. That's when I came across 2 silos. This place has such great energy between the multiple bars, craft beer and wide open spaces. We brought a ball inside where my son loved kicking it around whie we waited for our food. Two Silos has a great menu, with plenty of options that will satisfy the kids and adults. Would have given 5/5 stars but the food here is lacking. I tried out the La Gringa chicken sandwich. Stale bun, old chicken (tough texture and dried out) and half cooked fries. Ice cream truck is closed down as they are awaiting an espresso machine apparently. Was super unimpressed. My sour at this location though was delicious. Ambiance: big stage outdoor areas for live music. They also have food trucks and beer tents all around the venue. Very family friendly. Service: it was a packed summer evening so lots and lots of people. I think they did a great job serving everyone. Food: I only had drinks. The ICE BAR was great with frozen cocktails. Many bars all around to serve you cold beers and mixed drinks. The brewery itself is really big and decor is modern and homey. I would say, like all the other restaurants there were only 2 stalls in the ladies restroom. Come on now!!! Women go to breweries as much as men and we need more stalls. We don't need equal number of stalls here, equal rights don't matter with bathrooms - we NEED more! There is the Black Sheep (green barn) next to the stage which is a distillery and restaurant. This place is a brewery, but almost an entire event space! It's huge!! They have a stage outside and different little outdoor bars. I bet it gets busy when it's nice out. The 2 Silos experience is something that everyone in northern Virginia does at least once. The beer itself is quite good and they do a variety of styles. The live music is the big draw but there's a seating away from the stage or inside the tap room if that's not your thing. Having your tab linked to the various bars means you probably won't be waiting in line for the next round and it's easy to close out your tab. The brews aren't too bad either, with a limited selection of spirits and soda. The catfish sliders and a Cubano were both delicious. Karaoke on a Monday night highlighted a few talents. We walked here after our very nice family dinner at the adjacent Proof Kitchen & Bar. We have been here before after having dinner at the nearby Black Sheep, but never ordered any drinks here. If a guest is seated under an umbrella, the least that should be done is to communicate beforehand rather than simply removing it without notice. When I noticed staff beginning to remove umbrellas, I politely asked two employees if mine could remain up a little longer. They agreed on mine being the last one, but a third staff member (without checking) came and removed it despite my attempt to explain the prior arrangement. Instead of listening, he repeatedly gave dismissive replies and proceeded with the removal. This type of interaction reflects a lack of attentiveness and communication skills. I've been twice to 2 Silos brewing and both times have been so much fun. It is a family, pet friendly environment with something for everyone. I like that I see security actively monitoring the grounds, which is necessary with so many families and kids in an environment that involves alcohol. The beer selections are always good and the cocktail menu is sufficient. I haven't tried any food items yet so I can't speak on that but I've seen that they have nachos that look amazing and pretzels! It's mostly bar service so there aren't a lot of staff walking around delivering beverages or food, but the walk up has been pleasant with the staff. An hour outside of D.C. is a campus for everyone. A brewery, a top-rated restaurant, an ice cream truck, a playground, yard games, and a stage with live music, there's something for everyone. Meeting friends who live in Virginia, my family of three went at 5:30 p.m. on a Friday in September. Here's our experience. 1) Space: It's a monster of a campus with plenty of free parking. There's seating inside and even more outside in different areas. Dogs are allowed outside until 8 p.m. so we brought our puppy. My six-year-old daughter loved the playground and small hill nearby where kids were rolling down. The yard games were also a hit. (You need to get bean bags inside.) Even though it was filling up, we easily found an outdoor table that sat our group of seven. 2) Drinks: A brewery onsite, there are many types of beer on tap. Being a sour guy, I got the Strawberry Kiwi Sour. Honestly, it was among the worst sours I've had. It didn't taste sour at all, but more hoppy. My wife enjoyed her IPA though. 3) Food: The menu includes pizzas, nachos, wings, and more. Ordering around 5:30 p.m., some of the items were $2 off. We got a cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, wings, the trio dips, and nachos. Nothing was noteworthy, but our daughter liked the cheese pizza. The ice cream truck sold average ice cream and charges 75 cents for toppings like sprinkles (whipped cream and a cherry are complimentary). 4) Amenities: The live music was a good touch. I came here with friends late afternoon. Lots of families out and lots of dogs. Really big establishment out in the middle of a field where there is lots of parking. Not far off the main street. Music was advertised as grunge but I grew up listening to grunge and it had more of a pop vibe. It was good. We ordered a bunch of apps and they were all good. The cinnamon pretzel was phenomenal if you're looking for a sweet snack. Beer is on tap with lots of varieties, mixed drinks were good, and then they have slushes. They have a playground and a dog park. My only complaint is that I wish the food trucks were a little more prepared. Also, he food inside taste better than the food trucks. And the setting is quite large, both inside and out (but mostly out), fitting hundreds of people with ample seating for most (but not all on a busy day/night). 2 Silos is a definite go to place if you are looking for a lively spot for happy hour, after work get together or just a good place to get a good drink. When you first drive in to the area, you are greeted by parking attendants. There was overall lots of parking when arrived so I'm assuming that the area gets really packed on the late nights and weekends. I had no issue finding parking though. The area is overall really cute with 2 Silos snugged in between two other restaurants. The restaurant is open seating but we had no issue finding parking inside or outside. You do have to order at the bar which is a walk up but the service is overall quick once you order. The bourbon drink I got was absolutely delicious as well as the wings and nacho platter that I ordered. The restaurant was lovely and I loved the vibe of the service workers as well as the crowd. There's a restaurant (Black Sheep -- meh, expensive for mid taste & small portions & forgetful servers), a music venue (Farm Brew Live -- there's a stage where bands perform & a huge open area for people to east & drink on picnic benches & dance in front of it), a wedding building (Brentsville Hall -- my sister got married here! Large reception room, SMALL CEREMONY AREA, ok sized Bridal suite, NO GROOMS SUITE), and a Malarkey Distillery in the works (whiskey centered). There a lot of space for people to eat and drink at. There's a cute fire pit area that you can either rent out OR just go early and sit there and reserve it yourself. They have cute igloos in the winter where you can either rent or reserve too. Inside the 2 Silos Brewing building, you can ask for board games to play and they'll lend you one for the night. There are alcohol satellites around the campus & a Peterson's ice cream truck! My only issue with this place is that RIGHT next to the main area for drinking & eating is a kids play area. There's turf & some things for them to climb on. 100% of the time you're there, there will be screaming kids. My tip to the parents: get a babysitter. Parking (2/5): Parking has always been bad here. You're more than likely NOT going to find a spot in the lot by the brewery. You'll either have to park in in the grass on the side of the road OR if the lot by Brentsville Hall is open, then you can park there, otherwise, carpool. read more

2 Silos Brewing in Manassas is a hump from Southern Maryland but I was pleasantly surprised. I was invited to a Friend's birthday celebration on the upper mezzanine which is like a loft area. There was seating in the loft and food provided along with a designated server for our drinks(and he was awesome!) There was brisket that was really tender, good meatballs, truffle fries, buffalo did, pizza and barbecue. Everything was very tasty. You could look down from the loft area as there was seating on the lower floor and a live band playing on the stage below. I didn't catch the band's name but they were really good! Some People were dancing and the atmosphere was very chill. Everyone was having a good time. This was a really happening, family-friendly place. The live music made it stand out. I did a flight of 4 and generally enjoyed all of them. One I particularly enjoyed but I didn't get the name! I wasn't overly hungry so just got some chips with buffalo sauce, which was pretty good. But they have a much larger menu available; mostly comfort-type food. I walked around and discovered some smaller tents; I guess for private events?
